    System Ram: DDR3 512Mbyte - I would stay away……. far far away
bad screen resolution will give u the Sarah Palin effect, I can see Russia from here……

  • What about for YouTube?

    • The specs should be fine for facebook. The screen resolution of 480p is pretty poor, but OK for YouTube, and depending on what your internet connection is like you might not want to stream more than 480p off Youtube anyway. Your flatmates definately wouldn't want you to stream FullHD while they are gaming ;). The CPU isn't the best but really doesn't need to be to decode 480p, particularly if the GPU isn't totally nerfed. For a single app such as YouTube 512MB is usually OK, just be careful about what apps you install since some apps automatically start even when you are not using them. After a while of using the tablet you might want to go into "Running Applications" to see what applications you aren't using decided to auto-start.

Although the specs seem fine, Tedibaba below suggests the build quality and warrenty support may not be great. YMMV.

Very low resolution screen and very low amount of RAM. I'd say stay away.

  • It would make a great self-updating photo frame with an app like Dayframe. Buy one for your parents and set it to automatically display all the photos you take on your phone. Just make sure you use your other camera for "those" photos.

  • This is the first time I've seen a 9 inch tablet with WVGA resolution. That's a whopping 103.66 PPI (compare with first gen iPad 131.96 PPI).

For those of you who are wondering what that ppi looks like, a 22" full HD computer monitor is 100.13ppi. Just position it at the same distance as you would hold a tablet.

Its not even a bargain, whats the deal?

    • Yep, a few dollars more expensive than the Nextbook tablet despite having slower CPU, half the RAM, no local stores etc:
      https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/144627

I presume "Supports 3G" just means that like pretty much any other tablet you could add a 3G dongle.

      • That's 7". this is 9"

And you can use the 15% off voucher to bring it down further

        • Good call. There aren't many good deals on 9" tablets. Though the Nextbook screen provides much better resolution 1024x600 (vs 800 x 480) despite being smaller, so the screen may not be a selling point of this tablet. Even with voucher, this comes to about $82, more than the best price ever of $74 for the Nextbook: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/133604

I guess if you had bad eyesight then you might prefer a 9" tablet and really not care about the resolution. Then this may be the deal for you :)

  • Hi bought from this deal
    https://www.ozbargain.com.au/search/node/EZPad+Platinum
Didn't use for about 3 months. When try to use it, in the middle of something switched off and had to wait 2 to 3 days to boot it back.
Contacted dealsdirect and asked to contact their supplier(Spotbuy) directly. I was not happy for that because I didn't directly buy from them. After chatting about 1 hour and sending several emails Spotbuy contacted me. Even though it was inside the warranty period I had to pay for the postage.
"Our terms of warranty are stated in the PDf and the User Manual.
The user pays one way and we pay the return postage if there is an actual fault.
If there is no fault, the user pays both ways"
After few weeks Sent the tab saying, there was something wrong with the charger. I am pretty sure charger was fine.
Other than that it was a real crappy tab. Touch is not working properly. Colors get faded. Very hard to use the keyboard.
Now it just lie on the table. Once I get a chance, thinking to pullout the parts.
Please try to avoiding buy this
