As per this tweet:

We're giving EVERY Clipp user $15 credit to say a big thank you for getting us to 100 venues. Promo code- 'CLIPP15' - Valid till 12AM 2 JUN.

Clipp does the same thing as the Aston app where you can pay at pubs/venues via the app. Clipp has 100 venues scattered throughout Australia (no TAS, NT, or ACT).

App is available via iOS and Android. Nokia 3310 is unsupported

The website doesn't have a list of venues so here is a small amount of venues I've extracted from the app

Perth: The Boulevard Hotel, The Brisbane, Morries Anytime (Margaret River)

      I haven't tried it myself but I have used the Aston app which looks remarkably similar. My experience using the Aston app at Huxtaburger was the following. I signed up, stuck the promo code in, found the venue in the app and clicked open tab. A tab was then open for me. I went in to Huxtaburger, placed the order and when it came time to pay I said I had a tab opened on Aston. They said OK, and bill was automatically put on my tab. Not only did I get an almost free meal (via $20 free credit) but they don't accept credit cards so saved myself using cash.

      I imagine it works the same way with Clipp. Essentially, if you have ever started a tab at a bar (never a good idea), its essentially doing the same thing. Instead of them having your credit card behind the bar for the whole night, they have an app.

          Huxtaburger doesn't. Clipp and Aston have your credit card info stored when you sign up.

    Thanks for sharing! I just downloaded it and it doesn't seem as user friendly as Aston Club. They don't have a feature which shows you how much credit you have which the Aston Club does and is really useful especially when they give you free credit.

      I see that flaw as akin to venues that don't have clocks,
      so you won't know what time it is. (pokie venues are
      said to do this too.)

    Tried selecting 'the Winston' Sydney but got err:

    Venue is not connected to the clipp. Try contacting venue staff.

    Any has any luck for this venue?

      I think it means they don't have the app switched on in the venue. I had a similar issue with Aston and Huxtaburger.

      Further, they show "secured by PayPal" (on page asking for credit card.

      I say, if they're happy to deal with PayPal, they should use PayPal to take payments, so they won't need my credit card details.

      These are DEAL-KILLERS for me. (Also, some of the pubs listed seem daggy.)
