as the title says, $20 for G500 should be a good deal, plenty stock left, not sure if other stores have the same price.

Scum move there, a lot of people will miss out cause of your selfishness.

  • +1 for the cockburn, thats remind me to get more cockburn wine, they taste so good…

    any in Melbourne

    • +1

As much as that would be awesome, I don't think so. I called up a couple of melbourne east stores and they said it was an "online only" item, or that it wasn't on their website at all. One staff member suggested it was a slow moving item that was removed from stock a while ago, and that perhaps Cockburn had excess from a while back.

15 left at 5pm WA time, which was just after dafatha grabbed 16

Can someone pick one up for me? I live in perth and can pick up from the city. I'm quite far NOR so it will be hard for me to get one. thank you in advance

    • +21

You can buy one off dafatha for $50 on Ebay

    • +5

      do you play games?

      • +1 for that, as much as I tried with a cordless mouse, my usual bad score at CSS just got worse…

    • its the wire to keep mouse under control if you know what I mean…

  • i never really understood what's the difference between gaming and non-gaming mouse? higher DPI?

    • +1

usually switchable dpi and sometimes positionable weights, not sure about this model as too lazy to look at the Logitech site.

Just shuddup and buy it, coz it was posted here, looks good and is under the "should I or shouldn't I" $20 threshold. :) :)

      • i cant even i want to, cos I'm in sydney…lol

        • +1

try your local store with a printout, or maybe even call COCKBURN (there I said it) and see if they will post it or cross-ship to your local.

If they don't, then do your fellow consumers a favour and remind them that 'modern' businesses are far more flexible. ;)

BTW, MSY are $45 for this mouse so if you wanted a descent gaming mouse I would grab this in a heartbeat. I'm still using an older MX510 so I'll be right.

Try playing titanfall/COD/BF3/4 with a cheap $10 microsoft cordless mouse.. you probably won't get very far..

      • +1

Except that the world's best FPS and RTS gamers do exactly that and make a living out of gaming.

The answer to the best input solution for twitch-gaming is something of a compromise. I use a relatively cheap G400S because it's A) optical (and thus not prone to the inherent hardware acceleration/jitteriness of lasers as detailed in the post I linked above) and B) very comfortable for larger hands, with a very gradual arch and has more than enough DPI for anyone.

I've tried a several gaming mice over the years; the G700, the R.A.T 7, the Razer Mamba, the G500 and the SteelSeries Sensei and none of them I liked as much as the very affordable and sensible G400/G400S (no stupid gimmicks, just a good optical sensor and good ergonomics).

        • I lived on the old Microsoft optical mouse as a kid.
Was damn reliable, dropped many times and everything kept working.

When I switched to laser with the Sidewinder, I dropped substantially in accuracy. But now days I'm used to it, game pretty well with my G700.

    • One major difference is that the gaming mouse normally have more buttons that you may customise them for different functions when user is gaming. etc.

Just swung by the OW at Windsor and not G500s there. Looks like like this is only a deal to the residents of Flaming P3N!$.

I did pick up a bunch of Insystem portable HDD cases for $3 each. Only purple and black left.

  • Will someone kindly post when the last one is taken. There are only 3 left.

I've got a G500s for my home rig and love it. If the $20 clearance makes the east coast I'll be replacing the pathetic light piece of plastic at work and on the missus' PC.

    • lol, I saw the words '$20 clearance' there and thought I saw 'Rivers' too. Just used to those words together after so long.

Sr but i got the last one. There was a man before me but he just picked one for himself. Tks a lot mate :)

  • Where are you guys getting your mice from? Any in QLD?

  • +1

    The G500
It's a dam good mouse. NO FLAT BATTERIES!!! Gaming grade Laser mouse for fast accurate movement with out a delayed reaction, with a woven fabric covered USB lead. You can set the mouse up to the right weight to make it heavier or lighter. The ratchet on the mouse wheel can be realised to free wheel for very fast scrolling, "YES" very fast scrolling! Also the + & - buttons on top of the mouse beside the left click button will adjust the pointer arrow speed in 4x LED increments from very slow to very fast ( in game play, fast is great for a tank turret movement) with 3x programmable buttons on the left side as well.
Try EB Games or Dick Smith….

  • Nope, nothing in Sydney. Must only be that store. They don't even list it anymore.

  • Maybe the residents of Cockburn aren't gamers..

  • Probably cleared because it's an obsolete model. It was replaced by the G500s quite a while ago. I had problems with my G500 that thus far have not re-appeared on my G500s. Would recommend going the newer updated model.

  • EBs have them for $28 on line, may be in store!!

Someone living near Cockburn area has just listed this mouse on gumtree earlier today, is that you Dafatha?

    http://www.gumtree.com.au/s-ad/spearwood/components/logitech…

    • +1

Scumbag… dafatha should be banned from using this site.

      • I avoided commenting on the entire sub-thread about the ethics of buying up in bulk, but I feel the eBay/gumtree development changes things.

While I'm all for a bit of opportunistic capitalism every now and then, posting the photo when you have full intentions of reselling en masse is a provocative, douchey move.

      username da_fatha

clearly he is using it for the coming years, right Gregory!!

    • Lol would be funny if someone got his address for pickup but sent bikies instead :p

      • Nah I rather dafatha not sell any for anything more than $25. Once eBay hoofs their fees etc he be down the 20 and then some.

  • This guy is a scumbag, hopefully it sells for $10 so he loses money
