    The code works, if for some reason at any part of the checkout process does not show the discounted price, just fo through the the whole purchase again.

    I personally had to re-enter my code 3 times before it worked. Money was instantly taken out of my credit card. That happens when the site is getting hammered.

      The Animal comes with the Mini Motorised Head. Only difference.

          Its a powered head which the non animal version does not have included. I think its worth it if you are cleaning a separate area such as a mattress or car and want to keep the heads separate (for hygiene reasons, etc).

    Wow great bargain. Dyson DC54 animal for $600. Got mine from TGG for $565 during the ebay sale.

    Loving it so far. Collects most of the dust which was what I needed. Definitely a good buy at $600

    Despite the slowness that everybody seems to be experiencing, I was successfully able to order the DC59 Animal for 389.40 without errors or issue. So keep trying.

    Interestingly though I was asked to do an extra level of verification on my CC using my OSID and verifying my credit limit. Never seen this before.

      I had exactly the same thing happen. The checkout loaded and got the DC59 animal for $389.40. Credit card SMSed me a code to input into the website to verify the transaction.

      Just hope theres no "apology email" from dyson later on and a refund…

    I just got through and bought the 59 Animal. Trick is to add to cart - apply the code and then just wait forever.

    Once the "Apply Code" button is removed - reload the website and it will show your cart contents at 40% off.

    Then go to checkout which again takes forever but wait it out and you can then pay and confirm.

    Using Chrome.

    Despite deal having been closed I still got the DC59 Animal for $389.40.
    Had it running in 3 browsers (IE, Chrome, Safari), all of which kept crashing.
    After multiple attempts to check out I managed to get order confirmation in Chrome.

    I got one! I just kept trying after my payment had failed to go through. Was about to give up so tried one last time (my fourth attempt) and it went through. Instantly received a confirmation email with the price adjusted with 40% off. I bought the DC40 Allergy for $509. Can't wait for the delivery now!

    Just bought one 1 minute ago. Did some research already into prices at Harvey Norman, Good Guys and JB HiFi and this deal is cheaper than all of them by more than $200 after the code is entered. If at first you don't succeed, keep bloody trying! Thanks OzB I just got my very first Dyson!

    Masters declined, saying dyson isn't retailer.
    It's a supplier so they won't price match or beat it.

    FYI to everyone - just called up dyson. They told me they couldn't find my order in the computer yet (I was one of he lucky ones to get through) and that if it was to do with entering the 40% off code it's not valid if you try entering it because it was only made for certain people.

    I told them I got the confirmation letter and payment had been made, he then advised if this was the case you will be sent your items.

    So hopefully we all get it!
