$69.00. Pop the price in the title. Cheers!

    • No price in title or post body lol

This seems to be always on sale for this price. Only for the first week of stocking them were they $99. They have been $69 for the last 4 - 5 weeks now.

Edit: that being said, I bought 3 of them previously and they are a great buy at that price

it's in NSW as well. I bought two yesterday.

  • good price for a quality product… have several of these from over a decade ago and a couple from the last few years… and i paid more them!

These work well as an inexpensive workbench too as the uprights are in two pieces allowing you to build two half-height units around 900mm each. Due to their light weight they wouldn't be very good as standalone workbenches but anchor them to a wall stud or masonary wall and they're very solid. Even better if you can also anchor the front legs to the floor! Buy a cheap vice and bolt it through the MDF in one corner and that's all most home handypeople would ever need for light home repairs, improvements and hobbies… but be sure not to get that crappy MDF wet or damp for long periods.

  • Does Bunnings stock this particular unit? I have a bunch of Bunnings gift cards I'd like to use, so price-matching would be helpful.

    • Yes Bunnings do! (Well they used to, as I bought a few a couple of years back!)
Edit: Can't seem to find them on their site anymore… So maybe not! Which is a shame because I definitely would never have paid $100 each for them. (Maybe on special back then too!)

I'm pretty sure they still do but under a different brand name to avoid their price guarantees.

        • They seem to have the brand Qik-Fix now (which I've not seen there before)! So I tend to agree with your comment. Surprised with their pricing though, $137. Here's the link to their equivalent!

        • this one is similar but at $99 is more expensive: http://bunnings.com.au/handy-storage-boltless-5-shelf-unit_p…

It does work with other Handy Storage components though

        • @haytona:
That's the one I remember still seeing in Bunnings.

Looking at all 3 in comparison:
$137 from Bunnings for QikFit one that that carries 180kg/shelf.
$99 from Bunnings for Boltless - has 9mm MDF shelves and carries 200kg/shelf.
$69 from Masters for Geelong brand - has 12mm thick MDF shelves and carries 350kg/shelf.
Hmmm. Not hard to see which one is the better option right now!

        • @haytona: Not the same. That link is for only 200kg model. They look similar though.

          this one is similar

        • Picked up the Boltless - 200kg/shelf model from Bunnings Artarmon for $60 yesterday. Same other dimentions.
Not sure how long it will be on sale.

        • @Snoop: Oops. Yeah I posted before I saw your comment. Ah well, at least we agree.

      • I'll try to support Masters as often as possible (even it's far) for some health competition with. Bunnings. Found the shelves in Bunnings are quite over priced.

Looks like Mitre 10 sell this for $59!

    Better price match that! :)

    http://shop.mitre10.com.au/geelong-sales-5-shelf-unit.html

Just looked into it the one mitre10 are selling is only rated for 175kg.. masters is 300kg I think? so they must be different

    • but note that $59 one has smaller dimensions… 1500x800x300

    • And only 175kg capacity

  • Supercheap also sell the same thing - normally $135. As far as I can tell it's the same at least. Managed to pick up 2 at $20 each a few weeks ago, not sure why they were that cheap!

bought 5 of these 2 wwks ago and can confirm they are great for shed/garage work benches and storage spaces. My camping, fishing and motor bike crap is now organised camping, fishing and motor bike crap!

  • Got one of these at home - goes well. Rather solid. The more stuff you have on it, the better.

  • Masters, come to Adelaide, please.

  • Costco sell a Whalen brand storage unit for $99. It can hold 200kg per shelf (1000kg in total), and the quality seems to be much higher than this one.

    • +1

I can verify as I bought these from Masters that they are 350kg per shelf. So 1750kg in total. This is a much better deal.

  • -2

I personally feel this is not a good deal. same model but the 4 shelf is $30!!!!!! I bought two of the 4 shelfs for $60 combined….

    • Link for the 4 shelf?
      Is it the same depth?

      • Nm. Just looked at the specs. Smaller in depth and length.
        Good value

    • dont even know how you compare those mate. I also bought 2 of these as well and they are half the size and in no way compare to the larger ones! Both are are great buy, believe me!

  • i got 2 at $69 and cringed when Masters sent out the 10% voucher code a week later…

  • Brought one after work (I Work at Maccas inside) so like to browse around after work ;)

Pretty good value for $69, was glad I waited as I was intending on buying when they were full price just 2 weeks ago!

Brought one after work (I Work at Maccas

      Would never have guessed :)

  • How big is the flatpack? Can you get a few in the boot?

    • I have a corolla wagon. With the back seat folded down. I got 5 large and 2 small packs in the boot( but couldnt see out the back or passenger window lol). Mind you the front wheels never touched the ground the whole way home as I was doing a wheelie from the weight, which also made for a interesting drive to boot. pun intended.

    • Fits in my holden cruze with the seats on the back folded down, just purchased the one unit so couldn't say how many I could fit in total :)

    • Probably not in a sedan unless you can fold the seats down. The shelves are 1200x400, and from memory the box isn't that much bigger… maybe 1220x500x70!

      • I have the sedan and it fitted in :)

        • with the seats on the back folded down

Like I said! But if his car doesn't have access through the boot, there's not many sedans I know of that would fit them in! Leyland P76 excepted! ;)

  • Bought 2 of these at full price a little over 6 months ago. Even at full price, they are good value. Solid units, easy assembly. No cheap, flimsy, cut-your-fingers edges on these. Just very solid stuff. Good post OP!

  • just wondering what does everyone actually put on these shelves? They don't have a back so it wouldn't be books. Is it more of a decorative thing/plants/etc?

Anyone have examples from one in use? =p

    • Storage for the garage
      Tools, boxes, paint cans etc
Can never have too much storage space

I also got one to use both halves as a long work table.

      • I have a new house so I have a heap of left over tiles, that need a home, so thought with 350kg weight this should be well suited :D

  • Price is now back to $99……

    • Lucky I decided to get it last night then lol
