    Thanks. Bought the red xiaomi.

  • hope they aren't fakes

  • +1

    Have the prices gone up?

  • Where in the checkout do I add the code?

  • How long would delivery generally take to Sydney? Going on a trip in a few weeks time…

    • Wouldn't hold your breath waiting for it. If you need it get it from http://www.mushtato.com.au/genuine-xiaomi-portable-mi-power-… for a few extra bucks($29.95) I got mine in about 2 days, Aus stock and genuine.

      • +3

AU$20.02 vs AU$29.95 might be worth the wait can get 3 for the price of 2.

      • +1

There is no such thing as Australian stock as Xiaomi does not have a store or official importing channels as yet.

        • Uhh, so there's no possible way for a seller to import a product and sell it from Australia?

        • @mr kindface: I think what he's alluding to is since they don't have official import channels, you won't get local support.

    • +8

If you walked to China and picked it up you would have it sooner than their delivery.

      • +2

        family's overseas. Great advice

      • I tend to find banggoods postage to be the quickest of the cheap hk sites..

Takes 2 weeks max for me in country Victoria..

    • I Find BG to be about 10 business days or less.

  • They sell for around 8 bucks in China with 100% authenticity. One of my Chinese mates helped me order one :)

    • +1

That's insanely cheap. For us that is.

  • Ordered one of each from FastTech over a month ago and still waiting :(

    • +2

Same here. Contacted them and they say 45 - 60 days delivery. Which is an absolute pain in the butt as I'm going away next Friday and they're (probably) not going to be here in time. REALLY annoyed.

      • You will get it eventually. I got my goods after 40 days.

      • +1

It could be worse. A couple (three?) months ago I placed my first order from FastTech. The order was dispatched pretty quickly, but because I had bought Li Ion batteries the entire shipment ended up getting caught in customs hell in Malaysia due to changed regulations re: Li Ion batteries. It took at least 2 additional months to arrive.

The upside is: the 30-pin to bluetooth adapter works great and the batteries are genuine 18650 so my bike light should last for hours and hours :)

        • Me too my friend. I ordered some Li-Ion batteries from DX in May that are yet to arrive, saw the Fasttech ones last month and thought I would grab some from them because "surely" they would be quicker…I have a feeling I won't be seeing them for at least a couple of months.

    • +3

For a company called FastTech they sure are slow

  • Somehow the code doesn't work for me. It's still charging me AU$26.14 after entering the code.

    • +1

The price in the 'shopping cart' doesn't change - check the 'Grand Total' on the bottom right

  • If genuine they are a good ext battery pack. I have one from an it fair I went to in SG. It was SDG$9.95. So I'm not sure this is a good bargain, in comparison. (Maybe factor higher shipping costs…?)

  • xmdeal

    Are we already in xmas

    • +3

      not sure if serious.

      xm = XiaoMi

  • A bit expensive..

    • +3

Find cheaper and post the deal. Make sure it's of similar quality, capacity, and function. These have a bunch of safety features built-in.

  • cheers, got one of each.

  • Title error? Should be 10400 mAh

  • thanks, got the 10500. already have a 12k one but needed an extra.

  • Got mine from Singapore for SGD13.99 for the 10400mah one. Xiaomi Singapore seem to put the sale on every Tuesday @2pm AEST. No postage to Australia I'm afraid. If you have relatives or friends on holidays there, get them to bring it back home to you. :)

    • Xiaomi Singapore seem to be out of stock (in everything!)

also here cheaper and has good feedback
    http://www.aliexpress.com/item/Factory-Sale-Original-Xiaomi-…

also in ebay cheaper and look original

I trust banggood over aliexpress and ebay for this sort of thing. Especially since the last deal where the reps were active, and I am 95% sure the one I got was genuine (I'm not going to bother opening it to find out to 100% certainty. It's working great so far).

        • Nope. I read all that before purchasing last time. I'm still happy, and still 95% sure they're genuine.

        • +1

They still received a full refund and got to keep the item. That's pretty good customer service to me.

        • +6

@18: it's not about the customer service, even if you buy from eBay and found they are fake you will get a refund. It's about who we trust to sell the original goods. Sorry but many times rep don't know about their products or lied about them. I don't trust people if they lied couple of times even if they are telling the truth.

        • -3

@msmhw: hey in the streets if you get sold the fake 'product', you don't get yo money back. i trust my dealer, just sometimes the supplier cooks a bad bunch. so to me, banggood is customer service.

        • +1

          @msmhw:
As long as they admit to their fault and are willing to provide good customer service. I'm happy. It's a win win situation for me either way:
          1. I get a free fake power bank
          2. I get a genuine power bank for pretty cheap

        • @zeckem: yo yo

        • my experience with Banggood has been good. They have no control over the quality of items they sell, but their Customer service has been spot on….they do replace faulty items if there is a genuine problem.

        • @msmhw: the difference with bangood is that if there is an issue, they fix it. If it did turn out to be a fake - they would refund you. For instance a while back they had an issue with some dashcams that werent the spec the were told, so they refunded the customers, corrected the listing and wore the loss.
Amd like you say yourself you have no idea if what you are lining to is genuine, and a lot of people here saying BangGood's are. Your neg is unwarranted.

    • your first aliexpress is fake. theres a link somewhere to check authenticity from a post of yours later

    • I doubt any of those are genuine.

  • Can the 10400mah with output 2.1A charge an ipad?

    Thanks.

    • yes

  • -6

    rep,
    is it 10500mAh or 10400mAh?

in the item page it said 10400mAh but in OzB it said 10500mAh

    • +1

Last I checked, being a few weeks ago Xiaomi don't make 10500 mAh battery packs but 10400 mAh, titles most likely got a typo.

      • -2

yes this what I thought too

  • Just pulled the trigger on x2. Fingers crossed.

  • I bought kaspersky recently and it came with 2 free powerbanks, i think they are 2600mah.
might be handy to know if you were going to buy kaspersky anyway.

    i bought from officeworks.

    • +1

Or you could get free internet security software and buy good powerbanks :P

  • Is this genuine? I really hope it is

  • Bought one seeing all genuine comments. My first online purchase in a while. Hopefully it doesn't take a while (knowing China goods). :)

  • +29

Seriously i didn't even get the last 2 shipments from Banggood… i then filed a complaint and they told me to show them proof it didn't arrive so i replied back with a picture of my table

  • +1

Do these things hold their charge (ie: if I was to store it away then pull it out after 6 months to use)?

    • Bump this. Could anyone suggest a likely retention of battery rate, I'm not expecting eneloops here but after 3 months would there be +50%?? Thanks

    • Hard to say with this as it has no hard switch. Raw lithium batteries lose 5% first 24 hours off charger then 2% every month. With parasitic drain from circuitry in this device probably an additional 5% on top per month.

That rate goes up with storage temp. Also goes up if you leave it charged. Longest battery storage life is with 40-60% charge as all devices are shipped.

      • +1

Cheers mate…so by the sounds of it, 50% remaining after 3 months is possible?

    • They'll self discharge more slowly (last longer) if you store them in the fridge. Don't freeze them, though.

  • Is XiaoMi better than Romoss?

You can get a 10400mAh Romoss for $19.99 AUD on ebay.

    https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/159183

From what i can see the romoss have 2 usb port and a flash light as well.

    • +1

I bought the Romoss Sense 4 from a Meritline deal

Not sure if it's genuine but happy with the charging performance. It does have 2 usb ports (2.1A + 1A) but doesn't have any flash light.

Only thing is it's a little heavy to carry around at 296g, while the XiaoMi is a bit lighter at 250g. I just ordered the 5200mAh XiaoMi for something even more portable.

    • -1

bought one from your link, I hope its genuine

  • I just bought 2 and it's being sent via registered posts. I'll report back on my experience.

  • +1

Does anyone know of a good portable car jump starter similar to this one: http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/12V-15000mAh-Car-Jump-Starter-Min… & this http://www.banggood.com/15000mAh-Multi-Function-Car-Jump-Sta…

very handy for charging everything, and jumping a flat car!

  • is this better than Romoss?

  • +2

"Bang" good … The sound it makes when it explodes?

    • When what explodes?

  • im guessing / hoping this deal will be around for the next day or so? Im so very very tired and out of it, but would like to order one tomorrow :p

btw Ive ordered once from banggood and I was happy, a little slow to get the product, but it was not too slow.

  • +2

Do you have any proof of this being genuine?

  • +1

    Managed to grab a 5200mAh for $7 and a 10200mAh + xiaomi in-ear bundle for $15 during a one-day-sale from the official xiaomi website. Plus $8 for freight-forwarding.

Factoring in the risk of getting a factory-second/refurb, not much of a deal I reckon.

  • unfortunately I didn't find a place to put the code and ended up paying 15.69 via PayPal. guessing u can't use the code with paypal

    • PayPal worked fine for me. I put in shipping address first then the code pasted in the box at the right edge of the screen. All before the transfer to the Paypal site.

      Chris

  • I bought one last time. It looks genuine tho it didn't come in the transparent plastic box like it shows in the Xiaomi website.

  • About these things, you just won't know a thing untill you receive them. Almost like a mystery item! Or a lucky dip!
It could be really good, or the other way around.

  • +1

I just bought + also the protective case for an extra $3.26 AUD.

  • -2

Nope, they will blow up. Probably not yours, but just 1 in 10 for sure,

    • -1

based on what? your psychic ability? or the sony batteries that did years ago?

  • OK, i'll bite. Cheers OP. Reading the comments, people seem to think BG are generally pretty reliable, and if not the Customer service comes through anyway.

from xiaomi official website, the price is 69 RMB which is around 12 AUD.
considering the postage, i think this deal is good as long as it is genuine

  • when will the red 1040mah be back in stock?

  • +6

For those who still wonder if this is genuine, I have opened it to verify and posted the photo in the last deal
    https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/148774?page=1#comment-2097…

  • Bought one 10400mAH, total came to $20.02 AUD with the coupon.
Fingers crossed it is genuine :)

  • I am 88.74% sure that all the percentages mentioned in this post are all estimated.

BTW good deal, purchased one, Thanks OP

  • I bought the larger one.

Question- how do you charge it? 240v or via USB charger?

    • -1

It's like charging your mobile phone.

    • USB charger. Can be done via your computer or preferably a quality genuine phone charger that puts out clean 2amps.
