    Dick is dick!!! Shame.

  • A lot of people still purchasing the ps4. Is ds the cheapest?

Commenting to vote. I wasn't too tempted after chasing them for about 3 weeks for eneloops to eventually have 1 sale cancelled and the second sale for the Chinese chocolat eventually coming through. 3 weeks half a dozen phone calls and several emails. It's just an all round unpleasant experience and you never know if it'll go through or you're going to eventually get what you paid for or you're just going to get your money back. Now this? Yeah deserves to be negged.

  • Now to decide if I should use the pitch fork or a fire stick.

  • It's been 24 hours and there's no news in the papers.

Jacking prices up before posting a deal is just terrible business. I'm going to be extra careful before buying any more items from Dick Smith "sales".

  • +2

this time DS has crossed the line of being greedy.

  • So silly, but nothing illegal as dick isn't housing the sale, they are conducting business as usual(chuckle).

They are however taking advantage of the sale by thinking consumers are silly enough to think that 20% off is still a good deal.

They wonder why department store sales are in decline.

Prices are not very competitive even with 20% off + postage. You can get alot of the items cheaper elsewhere.

    Canon MG7160BK Multifunction Printer $199/$174 ($164.15 Delivered) MSY $149
    Logitech M560 wireless mouse $59.98 ($52.93 Delivered) MSY $36

I'm in agreement with everyone else here. I'm going to boycott dick forever now!

    • +2

same here, as I have enough eneloop and definitely don't need more!

  • Shame DS shame

  • Don't know what everyone expected.. It's always the same from Dick.

UA60H7000AW - $2436.25 on eBay and $2099 on the DS website. Fell sorry for the guy that paid $2,999 5 weeks ago.

  • Dick Smith is not worth dealing with, their conduct is deplorable and bordering on illegal. I complained to them about this about six weeks ago and they responded with a patronising response denying increasing prices prior to 20% off sales on ebay despite me providing them with a list of products.

everyone just bagging the sale should head off to Wingepool , i come here to find out deals not listen to people sook. There is absolutely no obligation from them to match their ebay and b@m stores , ebay has more costs involved so if they charge more to cover them so what…..this is ozbargain not ozcomplainlikeabitch……highlite the deals so we can all enjoy them….i.e. a ps4 a few weeks back for $399 after 20% off , great deal , thousands sold , thanks to the op for sharing.

    • +2

but there is an obligation to give a 20% discount from their normal sale price, when is Kogans next eBay Sale.

      • Presumably you mean selling price, not sale price.

  • Wish the ebay store would have all the items that the Dick Smith site has.

I wish I had a rabbit in a hat with a bat, and a six four Impala

      Nice work OP

  • Oh wow, caught this late, just drifting through trying to find a bargain and it's making me sick.

    Pretty blatant price-jacking.

  • can you pay with dse gift cards?

  • guys, not sure if there is a real 20% off deal as this history log says they used to sell this 24" monitor for $199 and it now goes up to $249 so a 20% discount brings me back to …the original price !!! http://prntscr.com/4t4e51

Well sounds like most of the items on the ebay page have had a price increase for this sale. I hope some people can get a sale from this.

  • Not as good as the good guys 20%

Should have bought the Samsung tablets during that sale.

  • Wasn't going to purchase anything but family member needed a new external hard drive. So purchased 1tb Seagate backup plus @ $99. Not the cheapest initial price but does work out cheaper than the lowest price on static ice after discount, chasrewards and instore pickup (no shipping costs).

Purchased through web site as it works out cheaper with discount, higher cashrewards and instore pickup which I always prefer for hard drives over postage.

Knew the sale was coming up, put an item on watch, was $229. Thought 20% off was going to be good. Come back today and the price is $299. That makes it $239 after discount. $10 more than their regular price.

What is wrong with these people??

edit: WTF?? $548 for a PS4 on its own? It was selling for $450 with 3 games only a few days ago… I cant look at this any more, it's just depressing…

  • Does anyone know if Express Shipping method is by any chance available?

  • very dodgy, putting the prices up before sale
