    • Do you know whats the go with warranty? Looking to get a 270x as its about $50 cheaper or so.

      • +1

Not sure since I've never had a problem, and I've bought several video cards from amazon before. With EVGA cards though, on the inside of the box is specifically states "DO NOT RETURN TO THE STORE. EVGA OFFERS DIRECT CUSTOMER SERVICE."

  • +5

I just picked up a lot of board games and puzzles. Monopoly, Jenga, Sorry, Connect 4, and Trouble all $7.87 each. Uno $5.53. Operation $11.88. Hungry Hippos 13.99. Its safe to say everyone in my family is getting board games for Christmas!

  • Fml… just placed two orders yesterday and both have shipped:
    - $200+ for one order
    - $90+ for the other (easily bumped to $100).

    Good deal nevertheless.

On second thoughts… as a true ozbargainer I'll need to ask for a refund then a re-order of the two dozen or so items for $360, so I can get my $50 shipping back!

    • Someone above managed to get their shipping refunded. You could try?

  • 20% off if you spend more than $50 on Dewalt items

    • and $25 off Makita if you spend $100…

Anyone know if it's only one order, or multiple orders until the end date?

    • +2

i've already made 2 orders so i'm guessing it's however many. fingers crossed it's not a limited number of transactions like the ebay cashbacks

      • Thanks!

Now I need to go get an Amex card…

  • just went to order amiibo's, works with pre-orders too

  • Would've been keen on a Neato XV-21. Too bad they don't qualify for the promotion as Amazon refuse to ship to Australia :(

    • +1

I just placed an order for a Neato botvac 70e (which is the only botvac model that avail to ship to Australia), but standard shipping is not available for this model, only expedited shipping, I did a live chat with the support staff and they managed to deduct over 35% shipping cost for my order.

I ordered the 70e, and the combo brush, bunch of filters, and a side brush for parts.

      • +1

the rep waived shipped for me. I neglected to mention that it only showed expedited shipping and just asked why shipping wasn't free :)

  • Hmmm…3D printer maybe…but haven't kept up with recent developments so not sure what is the best option.

    • Dremel have a new 3d printer.. goes for $1k USD

Does this work for amazon.uk? Sometimes it's better to buy electrical where the voltage is not 110v.

    • There nearly no savings on the blue yeti vs cheapest on ebay. Great mic though.

  • There goes $800. Thanks OP! Might not make it to Black Friday..

  • Doesn't seem to work for me. Total is 15 lb (for a quantity of 11 of the product), which is under the limit. It's possible that its dimensions will exceed the limit, but there's no way of knowing what size box they're going to put it in when you order 11 of something.

I guess this is mostly best for books which cost $5 per item, plus $5 flat per shipment. Games also. DVDs were only 99c per item, which was already great value. Other stuff are hit and miss. Many won't even give you the option of standard shipping and you have to pay for Expedited, which isn't eligible.

EDIT: Tried different items and it works. I guess the dimensions of my original order exceeded the limit. No reliable way of checking however.

  • Want to buy another down rigger but item is too big! :( any suggestions?

  • I used to buy my games from Play-asia primarily because of free shipping over $25. But they discontinued the free shipping and now it's actually more expensive to ship than it used to be even when you had to pay for shipping. So I no longer buy from PA. This new deal (which I hope lasts a long time) might just make Amazon the default place I buy my games from.

        • Hi Knackers, (or anyone else with good suggestions) what tool kind of stuff would you recommend for a good gift? In the past I got DH a really good quality expensive chisel set. He's got all the basics so I'm talking something that would be special to have. Any ideas?
          Thanks

        • @saxlady: it's a difficult question to answer, considering the scope of tools available today. I would just ask him. Guys don't care for surprises, they want something useful.

        • @knackers: Yeah that's a fair reply - in retrospect I guess it's a bit like asking you what book he'd like - pretty dumb hey. But I think I've worked something out anyway.
          Thanks

what are you buying uncle knackers?

  • well I can't get this to work, multiple items all from Amazon (global eligible), $250+, Amex card added….no free shipping :-\

  • …and yes all meeting the size/weight restrictions.

  • Excellent. I've had about 20 items in my cart for a number of months now and was going to wait until next Saturday to buy but this is a great promotion and the black Friday promotions historically have never been that good for the stuff I am after (CD's and American sports books - i'm old school). Saved $50 US on postage. Thanks for the heads up.

    Used my ANZ issued Amex.

      • once you select the amex card and have it shipped to a AU address.

Are you sure oil will go through customs?

      • Oil arrived today.. placed order on 21st Nov.

    • Not sure about the merits of using 2 year old oil…

      • they don't exactly manufacture the oil right after you order it.
as long as you store it right, it's perfectly fine.

which AMex card can we sign up without any fees?

or best valued for money card?

which card has no annual fees?

  • Bought some jewelry and some gym equipment. Thnx

  • Benq W1070 $699!

  • Ah man all these Amex deals. It is so tempting. It is too bad I have a near pathalogical hatred of amex from my previous job where I had an amex corporate credit card.

    • +1

wouldn't the annual fees negate any saving in shipping?

      which card to get?

      • +2

I can recommend this one https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/166082

I got it before that promo and have paid the annual fee but between my card and the supplementary card we've already got more than the annual fee back in statement credits. Then there's the free domestic return flight to use as well as well as the pretty good membership points.

This is a good guide http://www.pointhacks.com.au/american-express-platinum-edge-…

      • the Platinum Edge comes with a return flight every year - that more than pays for the annual fee for me (ex. perth gets to east coast). Have a look at point hacks link (Herbo below).

I wouldn't recommend you get a credit card to take advantage of one offer of free shipping - but I recently got cash back of $250 for dan murphys spend (across three of my cards and two from my partners). That had paid for one of the platinum edge/gold card memberships, plus shop small (up to $100 each card) and heaps of other offers through the year…search amex statement credit on ozbargain.

  • PS4 games for $19 on black Friday - TLOU, Infamous - Second Son etc also FC4, Destiny for $29

  • what an awesome deal. surprised this isnt yet over 500 votes.

just saved US$102.00 shipping on some childrens' books :)

    cheers OP.

  • Can you use bank issued amex or amex only?

  • Philips Norelco S9721/84, 9700 (called S9711 in OZ) Shaver sells in OZ for $499.95 AUD, on Amazon it's $319.95 US but after further $40 discount coupon, brings it to: $279.95 US delivered. That's a savings of $175.341 AUD. =)

  • -1

will this be valid for black friday?

What will this weekend's lotto numbers be?

  • hi. Can anyone tell me is it ok to buy electronics from US? I thought they have different power supplies? Thanks.

    • Depends if it supports international voltage (i.e. 110-240v). If the item is popular there usually is a question, otherwise you'll have to Google around to find out (checking manuals etc.)

  • For those trying to buy Lego, most Technics sets don't ship to Australia…oh well..

  • for me, it sucks as there's nothing I want to buy…..

  • "Offer applies only to products sold and shipped by Amazon.com through AmazonGlobal."

Does items "fullfilled by Amazon" still be eligible for the free shipping?

    • no

  • Time to buy PS4? Or should I wait for xmas sales? What you guys reckon?

  • Holy crap this is an amazing deal! THANKS OP!

Just to confirm for everyone - I used my ANZ Issued bank card and it worked just fine.

Bought 19pounds worth of stuff….saved $96USD on shipping. oooohhyeaaahh

    • -5

you need to buy $100 worth to be eligible

      • $96 on shipping… != 96 spent… he would of spent more than a $100US w/o shipping

        • Damn right, spent $400! :)

  • shame that it is only $20 difference between SSDs from us/aus stock :(

  • WD Red 6TB for 269US (~320AU including amex 3% surcharge) Delivered
