    Afternoon everyone!

    I went to big W Campsie this morning and then realised why I never go there even though I live in Campsie.

    Went to appropriate counter to buy a phone.

    Now, I do not have a licence so took my passport with me. Guy refused to sell it to me without a valid driver's licence.

    I asked him to call his boss and his boss advised him to use my passport number as the id and my address.

    And then, turns around and says that I cannot buy the phone because I do no have a Australian Passport.

    Hello? F***wits anonymous? Anyone home?

      Weird….. Your passport has the valid visa? That should suffice.

        Visas are all electronic nowadays unless you pay extra for a label. In any case they should accept any passport as tourists are definitely allowed to buy prepaid sims.

        It was probably those sticks of dynamite you were trying to buy at the same time that caused the issue.
        I always buy it after I get the detonator, I mean phone.

    Great little phone for $39 - I must say. I can also confirm that the Aldi sim (on the Telstra network) does NOT work with this phone. Not really sure how some people are saying it works with the Aldi sim whilst still being locked to Telstra.

      Seeing that there seems to be two different versions of it (with/without 4GB card), maybe some are SP-locked and some are network-locked.

    went and bought one, my main phone is a sony xperia z ultra, far too big to fit in my pocket when I go bike riding. but this is small and has an FM radio.

    I got two of these photos from Big W Plumpton at about 10am this morning. Got home and at 11am I paid bagman. Within 10 minutes I got confirmation that he had processed my 2 x IMEI and that he would email me the unlock codes when they arrive back. He did mention that it could take up to 2-3 business days to get the codes back. Imagine my surprise when just before 8.30pm tonight he had emailed me the unlock codes. Excellent service bagman! The phone is a great deal for the price even after the unlocking fee which is also a good price too!

    emailed bagman and he cannot unlock Telstra Nokia's anymore. HELP!

    Anyone know what else I can do? Just spent the afternoon setting it all up and now I can't get it unlocked!
