You can "watch" the item in your ebay account, then click the ebay link via Cashback rewards, then click my ebay- watch items, then buy it. I get cash back every time without any problem.
PS, don't use the wish list.

  • One more question, anybody is able to find this Ebay Store of Dicksmith?

    http://www.dicksmith.com.au/prepaid-mobile-phones/vodafone-h…

I can only see the outright one which is $869 - http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/HTC-One-M8-Unlocked-Smartphone-/2…

  • Canon EOS 70D and 18-55mm IS STM lens is $983.44 after discount and cashbacks at the Good Guys store.
    http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/NEW-Canon-70D-Single-Lens-Kit-18-…

  • In the last sale, TGG made delivery mandatory. I picked up my items from the store and they refunded the delivery fee :)

  • Thanks OP.

Just bought a Canon EF 50mm f1.8 lens for $116 for pickup from Good Guys. Saved $13

    http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/121500237302

    • Is this a great 50mm lens?

      • +1

It's one of the cheapest 50mm lens, best bang-for-buck from what I've read:
        * picture quality can come close to more expensive 50mm's in the $400 - $1200 range
        * downside is build quality, plastic, but it is expected for the price

have yet to try it for myself, but it's mostly good reviews everywhere

        http://www.amazon.com/Canon-50mm-1-8-Camera-Lens/dp/B00007E7…

        • Thanks. I want a 50mm but not prepare to pay $400…might give this a go..

PS4 console + Last of Us Remastered + DriveClub + Little Big Planet 3 is current 9% off. After the coupon as well, it comes to $399.60.

    http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/261699032220

It was in stock near me, but I'm hearing a lot of people aren't as lucky. Good luck.

    • How to check for store stock?

      • +1

Right near the top of the listing, to the right of the image, it says "Local Pickup - FREE In-store pickup - Buy on eBay and pick up at your local Dick Smith | Select a store"

Click "Select A Store" and go from there!

        • +1

Cheers mate. Managed to grab a PS4 bundle =)

  • Do you think Office works will beat these prices by 5% extra ?

    • +1

No as the 10% off from eBay not from the store.

    • +1

      They don't beat "coupon offers"

    • Thanks Mate. I got the toshiba laptop

    • I guess the laptop is the best deal so far. Perfect for my kids.

    • I got this one too. Not going to be the best, laptop per/$ spent, but certainly a great deal for those with a limited budget.

The $/Performance sweet spot for budget laptops is north of $500 RRP.

      • Yeah I just needed something cheap to use in front of the aircon this summer :P

        • Did anyone get a email from dick smith to collect this notebook? I am still waiting

        • +1

I got to pick mine up within 2 hours of ordering yesterday

        • +1

@lokesh7: I got mine within 2 hrs as well. Pickup from S.A. northern 'burbs.

        • @rystyle7: thanks for update mate.I will call the store and check

        • +1

@lokesh7: I just got "Expected to be ready for pickup at 10:00 AM , Thursday, Dec 18, 2014." on the eBay order details page.

        • @McFly: cheers. Mine is saying your order is being prepared

        • Just received e-mail: "Your Dick Smith Click & Collect Order # is now ready for collection"!

    • Just bought the Toshiba for mum as she needs something very basic. Thanks for providing the link.

    • Canon Cashback:

"Buy this Canon camera between November 13 and January 30 2015 and and you can score up to $100 cashback. PLUS spend $200 or more on any other Canon products in the same transaction and you can claim for double the cashback. That’s up to $400 back in your pocket."

Does that mean if you bought two 1200Ds at once, you'd only be paying about $160 for each? This deal does include a lens, doesn't it?

Edit: Nope, I went to the Canon website website. Seems would still just be $100 for each camera.

  • What do you guys think of the Toshiba Satellite C50? I need a new laptop just for browsing the internet, checking email, watching TV/movies (with earphones). No gaming or video editing.

    Cheapest there is on Ebay.

    http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Toshiba-Satellite-15-6-C50-B068-W…

    • +1

I just bit the bullet on that. Should be perfectly fine for that stuff. Anything close to that price will only have 2gb of RAM, so this is a pretty great deal

      • +1

Yeah, I was pleasantly surprised to see it had 4GB… But then I saw it is Celery-based (Bay Trail) and that's put me off… But it's only for my Mum and it's only $224… Quandary!

        Spec's here BTW.

Edit: Was unpleasantly surprised to see it has no DVD drive. (Not so needed these days though I suppose.)

  • Thanks OP.

Got myself the LG UHD to, $697.50 after discount. Free pick up. Not as good as the last sale but it'll do.

  • Saved another $5.85 on a hot plate half for my Weber from BCF. 10% is low enough to use it on something you were going to buy anyway.

  • +1

Code works for delivery also if you are unable to find stock in a store near you

    • May I ask what the code is?

      • +1

        CPICKUP

If you do not do In-Store Pickup, remember that eBay would be in their right to reverse the discount.

        • Thanks. I was too busy trying to dissect the description for the code to see that it was literally right above the info in the title.

    Looking to buy T100TA tablet

The good guys ebay price $497 ($447.3 if picked up)

    http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/NEW-Asus-T100-10-1-Intel-Atom-Pro…

    In store price $447

    http://www.thegoodguys.com.au/asus-t100-101-inches-atom-touc…

What's the point of the sale again?

    • +4

Should change their name to "The Bad Guy"

      • +3

point of the sale is to mislead you into buying because of the 'urgency' around getting 10% off during this sale period

unfortunately my neg got revoked because my comment got more than 5 or 6 negs

    • Buy it on eBay, and you should have an invoice $497 when pick up (I reckon). Go to the store next day and ask for "30 days price guarantee". You will get 120% of the difference. I guess it will work.

      • -1

They don't beat their own prices unfortunately

        • +1

Yes they do. I did it for an iPad purchase early this year.

        • @rhyme324:

I tried it with a TV in the last sale. They refused it as the guarantee doesn't apply to ebay.

          http://www.thegoodguys.com.au/30-day-price-guarantee

'30 Day Price Guarantee excludes The Good Guys own pricing; Boxing Day ‘Knockout’ prices, advertising errors or misprints, cash backs & discounts offered by a supplier or another third party, bonus offers, limited or minimum quantity offers, clearance, online only offers, promo code offers, finance offers and items sold on marketplace websites such as eBay.'

After some stern words and expressions of disappointment, I eventually got store credit for the different "as a gesture of good will" because they'd initially told me on the phone that it would be eligible. I guess the phone person hadn't read their own T&Cs.

        • -1

@salem: Thanks for the info. "Good guys" always do their best for the customer. :)

        • @rhyme324:

As pointed above, TGG doesn't have to beat their own prices. I also tried it with a router I bought and was refused the difference.

        • @MkVIGTI: After a week of my iPad purchase, TGG advertised a price which is $50 lower than what I paid. Then I went to the store. I said I want to return it and re-purchase again so I can have $50 back. But the staff just said I don't have to do that. They have 30days guarantee and will give me $60 back. I guess you just need to find a nice staff. Maybe they don't have to refund 120% but they must refund 100%. Just like you return it and buy again.

    • -2

I don't understand your neg, with cash rewards combined with the Ebay discount it will be $433.88. On top of that the invoice will show the full $497 price, so if you go overseas, you will get the TRS refund on the full amount.

      • +3

Because it is deceptive on behalf of The Good Guys

    • its 447 on ebay? and 446 in store lol

      • They changed the price. Was $497 this morning.

    • After this post the price was updated and they appear to have dropped it lower again to match DSE website price of $424. Perhaps this was an oversight from TGG in this case. For future reference please do your research prior to purchasing on these ebay sales but don't be turned off by them at the same time.

  • Why can't I claim the 10% discount when I select a DSE store to pick up the item from…?

    • +1

are you putting in the code?

        • +6

          It is CPICKUP

it is at the top of this page, and also in grey text under the title of every eligible item on ebay.

        • +3

          Code is - CPICKUP

Literally the first line in original post.

        • +6

Too bad none of those retailers sell glasses.

  • -6

Good luck selecting Click & Collect via DSE, so long as you don't decide to cancel the item.

I chose to Click & Collect in early October 2014 but cancelled the item once the holding period expired and I'm still waiting for them to refund my money. I have lodged a complaint against them via ACCC and is about to submit another one via NSW Fair Works just to try to get my money back!

Here's the transcipt to the whole incident in case anyone is interested: http://www.productreview.com.au/r/dick-smith-electronics/649…

    • +2

Now I get it that many other shops go above and boyond their legal obligations in trying to keep customers happy and DSE did not in this case.

But quite frankly I see that you actually did not intend to keep a contract that you had voluntarily entered and now you blame the other side for a slow process of resolving that issue that you caused?

In this case my sympathy is with the retailer.

      • Think twice, buy once

Fwiw, Ive had dramas with DSE before. i always pay with paypal. That way, you will get a refund. If they dont deliver in a reasonable time, or deliver damaged goods, and then dont respond to your emails in a decent timeframe, hit them with the old paypal dispute for a partial refund!

But to simply change your mind, then Complain here? Puhleeese…

    • +2

"Click & Collect" means you purchased the item and DS do not accept change-of-mind return. I can't see why the retailer should be blamed if you choose not to pick it up.

  • Sorry wrong thread…

Wondering how that Memo Pad 7 compares to this higher spec'd one for $159? http://www.harveynorman.com.au/computers-tablets/ipads-surfa…

OZTrail 4wd queen mattress, self inflatable. Damn I paid $150 after negotiation couple of weeks ago and thought I had a bargain. Now after 10% of already discounted you get around $125. Very good price for a great camping mat.

  • Halo MCC for $63 is ok at DSE if anyone wanting to buy for xmas

  • -7

Good guys, no Bosch dishwashers at all.

  • Anyone got a contact number? I bought an item for pick up at Alexandria at 9:30am and was notified that it would be ready in 3 hours but it's not 2:30pm and no email.

    • Anyone got a contact number?

      For Santa?

      • Good question! The good guys

        • Whitepages?

        • @Bargain4U: google?

        • Alright. I was hoping someone would say that the good guys ebay store is run by different people than the physical stores and should call a specific contact number rather than just hassling the wrong people.

All good now. For future reference, you call the store you want plan to pick up from.

  • +2

The Good guys gave me a lot of drama last time.
First they refused to allow my brother to pick up. Despite him having a printout of receipt and my drivers license.
Then when I finally came in to pick up they wanted a copy of the ebay transaction even though i had with me their email which says just bring this email in and your ID.

  • Bought this 39.5" TV: http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Dick-Smith-39-5-FHD-DLED-TV-/2616…
    For $229 after 10% off.

Good value. Nearly bought a very similiar soniq 40" tv for $277 delivered that is refurbished..

    • you forgot the extra 2% cashback?

    • +12

      cool story bro

  • I bought a 39.5" Dick Smith TV for $224.10…

    http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Dick-Smith-39-5-FHD-DLED-TV-/2616…

For that price I really can't complain, can I?

  • $623.70 for PS4 bundle and 40" LED TV. hmmm

    Edit: Nah. I can resist.

  • Has anyone successfully ordered with the promo code and selecting the delivery option instead of pickup?

    • Some have done so in the DSE deal

    • Yep. Got a fridge delivered for the discounted price. No issues.

  • Still waiting for my Galaxy Tab S 8.4, no stock yet, ordered on 30-Nov, instore pickup TGG - great price though.
I also ordered a RC car from Dick Smith on the last 20% ebay deal, in store pickup, 2 weeks after ordering advised they will never get it and I will get a refund instead (but no RC car for xmas present)

  • +1

    10% off who cares

  • Anyone else having issues trying to check out??

  • shame and unusual that ipads are available for purchase from DSE and Good Guys own website and not on their ebay store

    • To me that leads to the question of why they have an eBay presence in the first place, or at least why there are any differences at all from their own respective sites.

  • Just ordered a Moto 360 from TGG this morning and have already received an email to say that it's ready to collect from the store. $319 - 10% = $287.10. I'm travelling overseas on Friday so can take another $35.09 (11%) which comes to $252.01. Not as good as the last Ebay 20% deal but will have to do. Don't forget 4x QFF points via Qantas Mall. It all adds up!

    • Wait, what? I'm still waiting for mine from the 20% off deal! >_<

      • I got the silver model as the black is still out of stock at least the stores in Adelaide that I contacted

        • Silver is what I purchased too.

  • I'm looking at getting the Samsung tab S 8" which is $365 (original price $405) with the code from the good guys. I haven't been following this product so not sure whether the price had increases for this promo. Does anyone know?

    • I get the feeling that you might have to wait for a long time, simply from the responses people gave out when 20% off promo ended. There are fair bit of people who haven't received theirs yet and it has been around 2 weeks already.

Also, I think they raised the price a little.

    • check how much people paid for this here

  • Most of us will likely eat and put on weight more than we lose em during Christmas, therefore a Fitbit Charge might be a good gift either to yourself or your loved ones to encourage those extra steps (if you can't wait for the Fitbit Charge HR releasing next year).

Using this click and pickup 10% off on EBAY from Dick Smith, Fitbit Charge is now reduced from $142 to $127.80 (RRP being $149.95).

For a recently released item, cheapest I can spot. Ordered 1 to collect from Box Hill store.

    Cheers
