  • At least you can play Fallout on it…

You need to search ozbargain to make sure hat whatever you want to post has not already been posted at a cheaper price.
    which it has been.
    this is NOT a deal.

  • +1

Don't see how this is a deal when you can walk into JB Hifi and buy it for the same price and get it today.

    • -7

If you go and buy it today, you still have to physically go there (unless you live locally near a store) and either spend petrol or public transport expenses.

  • -4

That offer ends 14/12/2014 which is tomorrow, the one I'm posting will be still current by then.

    • +1

      How do you know this?

    • -4

That does not make this a bargain.
you should be ashamed to post such a thing.

  • HP250, the new eneloops

Intel Celeron CPU. No need to say any more.

    Avoid like ebola.

Is this one of those laptops where you don't have an access panel to upgrade the RAM? I really detest the manufacturers for doing this! FFS, put 4GB into the d*mned things~ would cost them all of $5, I'm sure…smh

    • -1

Wrong. An extra 2GB would add at least $20 to the price.

      • +4

Not wrong. In fact, I'm probably pricing it too high. I worked retail & the stuff only cost "us" $10. HP buying it in huge bulk, would likely pay even less than $5.

  • +1

Apparently it only has one memory slot, but it can be upgrarded to maximum 8GB RAM

The 8G RAM won't benefit this machine. The processor is slower than a similarly clocked Penryn — my Acer Aspire from 2008 with T6600 processor is faster than this.

It'll still feel slow regardless of how much RAM you throw at it, besides the HDD is also a budget 5200RPM spinner. Unless you want to spend more money upgrading the HDD as well.
