I just felt like adding my 2c simply because "Users shouldn't post deals that are technically covered elsewhere" isn't something I'd consider a great policy for site such as OzBargain. People who come here looking for specific gaming deals are, naturally, going to look for them in particular — e.g. those after a $399 PS4 aren't going to pay much mind to the $367 X1.

Targets eBay store requires a verified phone number, which is fine; but we cannot use a mobile phone? I have been waiting months for a good PS4 deal and am now about to miss about because I don't have a landline phone? Any way around this?

I used a mobile number with no problems at all. Try making up a landline number or use a friends if you can't use your own mobile number. You may need to add the phone number to your PayPal account if you are paying via PayPal.

They matched the online price, in-store?
I assume this meant "picked one up (online)" as Target stores are pretty set on not matching online sale prices. I've had people get away with it if the discount is on the Target site itself (though we're not meant to) but never on eBay.

I managed this today with a new 3DS XL.
I posted in one of the other Target deals earlier today about it. I wanted to see if I could buy online and pick up in store, so I called customer service and got told no, but that I could try price match in store.
So I went to my local Target, showed a staff member the eBay store page, the code and what the final price would be after discount and he matched the price for me.
Maybe I just got lucky?
Guess it depends on the manager that is on. We've been told not to price match eBay but some managers clearly are smart enough to sell when they can, I guess~

My ps4 died yesterday. I'm suspicious that it died right before a decent deal came out… I'm in two minds about replacing it just yet though.
They come with 2 years warranty, give Sony a call to organise getting your ps4 fixed.

Try using PayPal instead of your creditcard. It worked for me.
I only had $2 in my Paypal, I paid the rest with debit, no need for money in Paypal account.

I was just ay EBgames and the kid working couldn't believe the price Target is selling the PS4's at, reckons they're losing $50 per console… I was going to hold out to see if that bundle comes in stock again but might just go with the stand alone for $398 now.

I don't see why not. Target shouldn't be able to distinguish between the unopened boxes. Unless they are different. You bought it for me as a present, and then found out I already have one. That was very thoughtful of you!
I'm sure they would accept a refund for the PS4, but I was just concerned if they track serial numbers and might not accept it if the receipt shows it. The one I purchase online would have a different serial number than the one purchased from store.
Then you could open them both very carefully, and swap the contents and return the store box.

We took anything back from online as long as you had the receipt.

Looking at the history on ozbargain, cheapest ps4 controller hover around $55-59.Target Ebay had a few availalbe Orig price $79, discounted price around $63. But all sold out now too.

Got my white PS4 today. Turned it on, started the setup process… bang! it crashes on me.
So i held down the power button for 10secs to reboot it.
