  • Anyone knows anything about the Samsung galaxy A5 phones? They are around $600 before discounts etc. Seems pretty expensive for a phone I haven't heard much about.

    • +2

Think of them like the Iphone 5c for Samsung.

  • +1

Am hoping for a good xbox one with kinect deal, sub $500 and I will pull the trigger

  • Have just added some details to a forum post: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/187834

  • GoPro Here i come

Looks like the cheapest GoPro HD Hero 4 Silver is from Good Guys for $497

    • Still not as good as $386 from late last year Dicky's sale.

      • For HD hero 4 or HD hero 3?

        • HD Hero 4 Silver.

      • If you include CashRewards/Frequent Flyer points pretty much the same price.

    • That's tempting…

      • So i can get it for $386 if i include Cashreards/FF points?

        Please tell me how

        • +1

Well, 20% off $497 takes it to $397.6.
CashRewards is 2%, so you'll get $7.95 back with CashRewards.
          So technically, that's $397.6-$7.95 = $389.65.

The other option is to use FF points which has a promotion atm.
          https://onlinemall.qantaspoints.com/ref/pgpromo
You'll get 4 points per dollar which is 1588 points which is worth ~$15 (give or take)

PCCG prices are good, I know they're inflated over their regular store but after the 20% is taken and you don't need to pay their paypal/cc fees + postage, it's actually a good deal.

Best deal is the XFX Radeon R9 295X2 8GB for $855 posted - save $200 over buying it from the store + paypal/cc fees.

    • I hope they don't run out of stock before I get what I want. Some items say there are only around 10 available.

  • Anyone know if the NAS Prices are good from Futu Online

    • Punch the model into www.staticice.com.au and that will give you an idea of normal market value, most are only about $20 less than "normal" retail after the 20% is taken off, but ebay is free shipping, and a lot of PC retailers use courier services which can be pricey. For my 2 Cents I would probably only purchase with the ebay sale if you were going to buy one anyway.

    • The Synology DS415+ is still overpriced when you take the 20% off. I notice they have sold 5 previously but won't let you see what it sold for

      • well they have to cover the 10% ebay fees and 3% paypal fees somehow!

    • +1

Wouldn't touch Futu with a stick. Prices at times are good, but their customer service turn around time is pointless

  • the msi gtx 970 goes down to 448 from 560……pretty good :)

    • Normal pccasegear or ple price? Diff brand though

      • normal pccg website price is 520. So yea its about 70 bucks cheaper even after the ebay price hike. ple has it for 529.

  • Is a pre-order of GTA IV PC worth it at 20%? Or are there better deals on it elsewhere?

    • From where?

    • +4

      Who pre-orders a 7 year old game? :P

Any price around $60 is decent, just don't pay the $90 some places are asking

      • Ha yes- I meant GTA:V PC.

I don't need the physical media-just a steam key or whatever. What's the lowest going around (VPN attainable inclusive)?

  • I'll spend some money if they do 20% off PS4 & Xbox One games without rising the price before the deal. Never seems like there are games on the ebay stores during these sales. If there are the rrp is way to high and they're games no one is really after.

  • +1

Wow, 4tb Reds are really expensive now. Was able to get one for 180 from last sale. Current prices are 250-280

Got my eyes on some 6tb drives for my NAS, come on pccg don't let me down! :)

    • -5

      They have hiked their prices.

      • +5

Their prices have been the same since the store opened on eBay. They include delivery and probably eBay and PayPal seller fees.

        • So a sale = more than normal prices on their website. Right.

        • @T1OOO:

So a sale = more than normal prices on their website. Right.

Why do you keep posting false and misleading information?

On their website the drive is $379 plus you have to pay credit card fees and delivery of $20-30 which puts it around the $400 price point.
          http://www.pccasegear.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&p…

On ebay with the extra fees that they have to pay and FREE delivery it's currently priced at $407.
          http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/NEW-Western-Digital-WD-Red-6TB-WD…

Is maths not your strong point? What is $407 minus 20%? Is it around $330? Is $330 cheaper than the around $400 price on their website?

        • @Maverick-au:

          http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/NEW-Western-Digital-WD-Green-5TB-…

          $281

          their website
          http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/NEW-Western-Digital-WD-Green-5TB-…

          $259

          msy $249

so even with 20% off , 281 * .80% = 224.8 so its $24.2 cheaper, yes,… butits not 20% of 259, is what im saying, were getting screwed.

if it was legit this would be on sale for $207 … but they are tyring to make out as if its that good of a deal, WOW 20% of when in catch is like 5-8% off WOW… a joke.

and this is jus tone deal,,, most of them dont work out much bettter… like i said NO legit deals, with so many retaliers its a joke, JUST SKIPP FAKE BAY!

        • +1

It's a rip of if you don't need delivery. Adding shipping to the web site deals brings it closer to %20

        • +1

          @T1OOO:

Where is the law that says that you have to sell on ebay the same price as your website? Point out the legislation otherwise stop making up rubbish. PC Case Gear offer free shipping on ebay for a start which is around $20 on their website so add that to your $259/$281 example and you get prices that are the same and on top of that they are covering ebay fees which they don't have on their own website.

if it was legit this would be on sale for $207 … but they are tyring to make out as if its that good of a deal, WOW 20% of when in catch is like 5-8% off WOW… a joke.

The only joke here is your posts where you cannot understand that companies often sell for different prices on ebay because of the additional costs and that in this case they offer free shipping on ebay but not on their website.

and this is jus tone deal,,, most of them dont work out much bettter… like i said NO legit deals, with so many retaliers its a joke, JUST SKIPP FAKE BAY!

If you don't like it ignore the thread and cancel your ebay account but you won't. I saved a fair bit this morning buying an Intel NUC, memory and hard drive, was it 20% over what I could have purchased using static ice? Nope but I still saved a fair bit so I don't care.

      • +1

        They have hiked their prices.

Instead of making up false and misleading claims why don't you research and check out the items history first?

        http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItemRevisionDeta…

        • how did you do that?

          view item history

        • @Kanasuke:

Any ebay listing modified will have a revision link at the top of the description area.

  • At current price, Fitbit Charge HR would be ~$140 through Kogan. Dick and TGG don't list on that model on eBay unfortunately.

    • Seems like they've removed the Charge HR listing.

Very big waste of time. Yes u might get 1 or 2 decent items. But this deal is for multiple big name sellers and it's just not fair on the consumer to waste their time.

      What is your agenda?

      • -3

        Their normal site.

        • -2

          Their normal site.

Why compare their normal site to ebay? They both have different cost structures and you deliberately continue to mislead by not taking into account the free shipping on ebay which is normally $20 on their website.

And why lie and claim $249 when their website is clearly $259 and has been for some time. Add shipping onto the $259 and you get within $2 of the ebay price before you even take the 20% off!

Are you a competitor to PC Case Gear trying to sabotage their business?

Op you should add the Flybuys triple points on e bay purchased till 8th april. Just go to your flybuys account and use the e bay link.

  • Does The Good Guys 120% Price Guarantee apply as well to TGG purchases on eBay?

Say if I purchase something and it's $1000 with the eBay 20% discount it's $800 but a competitor has the same item for $900.

    Am I entitled to a $120 further discount because there's a difference of $100 between $1000 and $900?

    • eBay sales are excluded from their price guarantee

      • Does that include click and collect through ebay too?

        • the invoice has the regular listed price, not the discounted price as it shows up on paypals end

      • -1

        Not true.

      • -1

It is excluded on their price guarantee but they honor eBay sales as well.

well they did for me every time i have purchased.

  • I liked this one -link

According to the link - Was $599, $20 off makes it $623 on sale.

Perhaps they put their price up, but forgot to edit the listing as well? Either that or they can't do maths? Either way- no bargain!

    • -1

      I liked this one -link

According to the link - Was $599, $20 off makes it $623 on sale.

They haven't changed the price of that product since they listed it. The description is likely from their website and they missed removing it when listing on ebay.
      http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/NEW-Gigabyte-BRIX-i7-4500-Ultra-C…

There is no revision link on the item page so it means since listing it has NEVER been changed.

Here it is for $579 on their website (normally $599) but add on postage of $20-30 and credit card fees and you are not that far off the ebay price.
      http://www.pccasegear.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&p…

Perhaps they put their price up, but forgot to edit the listing as well? Either that or they can't do maths? Either way- no bargain!

$623 with 20% off is going to be around $500, this is at least $100 cheaper than their website price so how is this not cheaper?

  • yahooo…i will be buying a samsung galaxy note 4 and an iphone 6 64gb this weekend :)

  • Hope one of them does a good deal on the LG G3…Korean version!

  • I am looking for a Panasonic FZ1000 Digital Camera to use when I am overseas in July. The only retailer I saw with the FZ1000 on their eBay Shop is Teds and of course it would have to be $70-$80 more than Paxtons who are not part of the 20% off sale. Still can grab it for $860 which is cheaper than overseas stock but it still bites that they are gouging.

I am unsure as to if I grab it with this sale or wait a few months and claim back the GST at the airport as it may go up in price in the meantime and actually cost me more.

Good deal on the Dell XPS 15 if they don't jack the price up. It's the 2014 version with 3k instead of the new 4k, not that it really matters on a 15 inch laptop screen.

    http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Dell-XPS-15-Touch-Screen-Laptop-C…

$1999 with Dell's own 20% off. Another 20% with ebay would bring it down to $1599.20 .

    • not that it really matters on a 15 inch laptop screen

Well people are already arguing about 1080 vs 2k screens on 5.5" phones soo…

    • I think that sale ends today.

Inspiron 15 5000 is a good deal too (provided they keep the price until sunday, highly unlikely) —> https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/187780#comment-2644328

      • Hopefully should continue on. I can't imagine Dell clearing many of the old XPS 15s at the same price as the new ones.

Yeah stay away from Inspirons. Build quality was very average and the screen (many screens) bled on mine. My GF had hard drive issues from day one on her old one. On the other hand my work Latitude and 6 year old Vosto are excellent pieces of machinery.

Kogan have AKG K240s listed on their website for $99 + delivery
Their eBay store has $134 delivered

The MKII version is $129 + delivery
with eBay listing as $167 delivered

I don't think it costs $35-$38 to post a pair of headphones.

Besides maybe a couple of things with limited stock, this sale will be a write off.

  • very good one!
