Can't believe in this day and age a previous gen phone could sell for $729.

Terrible price, Kogan has it for $699 inc free shipping, and that's by no means the cheapest online:

Terrible price, Kogan has it for $699 inc free shipping, and that's by no means the cheapest online:

I think that is Kogan HK Limited, a foreign business shipping from Hong Kong.

So, no local warranty support from Apple Australia, and no Out of Warranty Support/Replacements, and no Two Year Consumer Guarantee.

$30 more for a local two year guarantee? Certainly worth the $30.

Whether it is worth paying $700+ for a 16GB 5s is another matter.

      • I believe Apple Australia still honour the warranty & provide support for all Apple iPhone, whether it's purchased from local or oversea!

only difference is the 12mths international warranty vs 24mths Australian consumer warranty.

iphone 6 would make a nice deal not 5s …

  • is it Aus stock?

  • so when the sale ends it does back to $850?

    • good luck if back to $800 haha

    Hi Sir Casm,

Please note our price is for Australian stock which comes with a 12 month manufacturer warranty provided directly by Apple.

The same stock is sold by apple for $829. http://store.apple.com/au/buy-iphone/iphone5s

It is my understanding that Kogan provides international stock which does not come with a local warranty. Also known as "Grey Stock"

We also include free shipping and a bonus screen guard!! Which gives you a saving of $121!

Just because its cheaper doesn't mean its a bargain!

Especially a 5S 16GB…16GB.. 5S??? I'd like to see you put that back to retail for $850 and let us all know how many you'll sell. Especially with the Iphone6 16gb not much more.

  • Hi leexm101,

We also have the iphone 6 on sale! Please see link below

so why not just make an ADD for the iphone6 instead of making a bad deal and a bad name for your shop?

    Hi j03,

We ran the iPhone 6 offer last week, however all of our online offers are competitively priced.

  • Even iPhone 6 was $689 in a recent deal. So, this one no deal.

  • I believe iPhone have One Year Limited Worldwide Warranty and Two Year Consumer Guarantee because I did a replacement for my iphone which purchased from USA. If you bring your phone to a apple store. They will inspect, repair or replace for free if in warranty. By the way, there was 20% off promotion from eBay almost a year ago. A brand new iPhone5s was $549 (20% off original price $ 687 )with free shipping from Kogan eBay store. This is real bargain.

    see this https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/150374

    • the aud was also higher vs the usd a year ago. a few quotes that i got recently for stock will cost me about 20% more than last year.

      btw
we can't compare kogan's prices with other etailers. kogan tells the suppliers how many items they want and how much they want to pay for that item. the suppliers then choose to either accept or refuse the order.
