Hey guys, I was tired of staying at home beating myself. So I decided to buy a bench beater/mixer.

I've had my eyes on this for a while, since it dropped down to $55… now it's half price at $39.50. I needed something to get over the $50 spend (targeted deal) to get my $10 off voucher. It's noisy as hell, has a new appliance/beater smell but I assume it is decent. I haven't washed it up yet. But seems like a damn good deal. In the kitchen appliance section (obviously).

Cheapest new one I've ever seen, it also takes a 'beating'. Dropped it from a decent height off the back of my bicycle, packaging and contents remained perfectly intact. Get into it :) Goes great with half price cake mixes.

    Definitely not KitchenAid quality that's for sure. Might die after a few months.

    metal bowl… not bad. if it fails Woolies are pretty good at swapping back or refund.

    I got one that looks the same but red.
    Two main faults:

    I turned it up to high once while had a fair bit of stuff in it, it made a little bit of a cracking sound and hasn't sounded 100% healthy since (still works fine)
    The clearances are too high on the sides, so some stuff doesn't get mixed if it's stuck close to the bowl.

    Still, a very good price.

    I bought one when this deal was posted and I've made dough a few times in it. It's been great for the price so far.

    I noticed that it shares a similar design to the Kambrook KSM500 that sells for $119 (RRP$179). The base, controls, attachments, bowl and tilt mechanism are the same. The Kambrook has a different top section and a splash guard. I'd bet they are made in the same factory. So definitely a bargain when compared to the price of the Kambrook.
