    I'm already with ME Bank but didn't receive any email from them :( What's the dealio there..

    Also wondering how they can offer this when they haven't even completed their recent $100 referral offer. No one has received their $100 yet, correct? We've all been left in limbo..

    and here they do making another offer. Can they even handle it :/

      I called them today and they said my referrer needs to also do the 3 x $10 transactions AND call them to qualify for the $100 deal. I'm sure they have retrospectively changed the offer on this and as we have all held up our side of the bargain and opened the account - many with emails to prove it - anyone with more spare time than me could start an action/petition for an action for misleading and deceptive conduct or simialr on this. Might be more effective than simply cancelling the account. As far as I'm concerned n o one did any more on our side than meet the conditions of their offer.

    Not sure why MEBank are being so picky with not allowing forum referrals? New members are new members. I hardly doubt people are opening up 2-3 accounts for themselves with no intention to use them.

    Plenty of people in the ozbargain community aren't using MEBank yet, so if this offer encourages them to open an account, is that not the goal of the promotion?

    Strange reasoning here, coming from a current MEBank account holder.

    I wouldn't bother.
    Last year I signed up using someone else's referral code, and then another person used my referral code.
    Should be $50+$50 bonus.
    But I never received this money.

    ME are a horribly incompetent "bank", if you use Apple devices to access your accounts I'd advise to steer clear from these clowns, you probably won't be able to access your accounts and the call centre is of little help, $50 is nice, but you'll be made to work for it

    Seems like the link OP provided has problem in creating the account. As dealsandstuff suggested, if we apply thro' MEB home page Everyday Transaction Account it got one more section:

    To apply for an EveryDay Transaction Account you must
    be an Australian citizen, Australian permanent resident or an Australian resident for taxation purposes with an Australian residential address
    be at least 16 years old
    want the account for personal use
    not be a US citizen or US tax resident

    I don't know if the Everyday Transaction Account link enables you to get the $50 or not, but at least, it allows me to keep on going to complete the application.
    BTW, make sure you enter the promo code in Page 3.

      You can say that again! Only two days' validity (22-24 June), plus you have to convince people to get a bank account, which is not easy because it's a lot of work. Then you have to instruct them to make three purchases of $10 or more using their new card. If your friends and family already have, or have had, ME Bank accounts, then you can't refer them.

      ING just said "here's a $250 voucher for every person you sign up" - way more of a motivation. Last time I tried to sign up four people to ME Bank, only two of them did the process correctly, resulting in our getting free monies.

      Way too much hard work for $50 IMO. Not going to bother with this again.
