Buy something on behalf of roughana

Have it shipped to roughana's by changing the click and collect address

          Roughana gives him money

  • Still no list of retailers of 2000 of them

    • you just click the "Click and collect" search parameter on the side when searching. The 2000 are selected by ebay to offer this service at present.

Can't find any bargain worth getting…. save $100.

    • Somewhat agree with you. Can't find any bargains to get the $50 voucher.

This is clearly baiting…for you spend $100 RRP which noone wants to

      • +1

everything I am looking at, has not been marked up whatsoever.

        • +1

Basically, it is spend $150 and get $50 back. In theory, 33.33% saving. However, feeBay charges nearly 10% in fees to each seller (if you also include PayPal, it might be even more). Essentially, this is a 23.33% discount.

It is a good deal, but if there is nothing that you want/need (due to either you don't really need anything or the limited number of merchants/sellers), then it is better not to spend $150.

        • @netsurfer: Feebay only rapes sellers. From a buyers point of view, Feebay is actually a great place to shop and doesn't cost anything. (Again, at the seller's expense - lol)

        • +2

@Son ofa Zombie: Really? Expecting sellers to absorb the feeBay fees is unrealistic. At the end of the day, it is really the buyers paying those fees.

        • @Son ofa Zombie:

EBay doesn't pay Australian tax you know. Neither does Paypal. Well hardly any. You'd be a fool to pay tax on profits made in Australia.

Compared one thing to see what the real price is

Sharp QS-2130 calculator, $123 on ebay, $50 on amazon

        Bit of a joke.

        • So your not the operator of a pocket calculator ?

        • +1

Is that a poem or question?

  • +1

Also cant find anything to buy that meets the criteria :(

  • +4

Everything is overpriced so to spend $100 just to get the $50 voucher makes no sense.

    • +2

I'm just gonna sit here and wait until 3rd Aug see if there's anything worth getting

    • +2

I looked at something. It was $139 on ebay, $89 on an independent website.

  • Wanting a good ac router, but yeah prices are pretty shit - might be up 10 or 20 bucks after voucher, not really worth it unless there's something you know you will use the voucher on before end of September.

  • Any good quadcopter deal?

  • Ok so it seems overnight the car stereo i had in my watch list has gone from $260 or so to $400

Just sent them a message with a please explain as they're now a heap dearer than all others on the 'bay

  • wanna buy a camera bag ..priced at 99$.. any filler i could use ???

    • item 251618698976

      • i can order from different retailer right to bump it over 100$ as long as I select BigW pickup ?

  • Click & collect should not have been promoted like this when the service is so limited.
The nearest store to us is in Sydney! We're in Hunter Valley.

    • +1

      We're in Perth……

    • -1

This post clearly says SYD not NSW, not sure what your expectations were?

      • I'm not saying it just for myself. The service is far too limited at the moment for most of the country. Promoting it should have been held off until such time the service is available to a good percentage of the country.

        • Approx. 8-9 million people live within the locations included in this [SYD/MEL/TAS], I'd hardly call that "far too limited".

        • @nismo:

          Australia Population clock 29-07-2015 19:05:52
          23,663,525 Current population

I guess you're right. Less than 50% of the population is good odds.

  • I am also after Pioneer car stereo player but I have no idea which one is good value.

    Any advise?

WTF, Adelaide BigWs and Woolies were showing up a couple of days ago, now they are not?!?

    • Yes, I thought the same for QLD.

Has anyone from QLD been able to find anything that is eligible?

  • Pity the promo doesn't include click and collect from Officeworks.
    Or does it?

  • can't find anything worth buying.

    • +2

I can.. just not for the right price.

      • OK, let me re-phrase that then.
I can't find anything that is good enough value with this deal to bother buying.

  • can it be multiple cheaper items that add up to $100 in one transaction?

    • Yes, you can. Reads the T&C

8 Multiple items may be purchased in one transaction (up to a maximum of 10 items per transaction).

      • +1

I think that describes the $50 voucher.

        1. you must be signed in to your account on eBay.com.au, make a purchase of $100 or more

It doesn't say multiple purchases with a total of $100 or more…

        • +2

Sorry, my bad. The T&C is for the $50 voucher.

The right answer is in the FAQs

Can I buy multiple items in one transaction to make up the $100?

Yes, that is possible. To do this you will need to use the shopping cart. You can add up to 10 items into the cart choosing “Add to cart” at checkout, choose “Click & Collect at Woolworths or BIG W” as your delivery option and then pay for them in one transaction. If you spend $100 or more in that transaction, you qualify for the $50 eBay voucher.

        • @O O: To be honest quite ambiguous and open to interpretation.

        • +1

@tim_geo: Right, does that mean they must all be purchased using “Click & Collect at Woolworths or BIG W” as the delivery method or will it suffice to have at least one item and others can be delivered differently as long as the total is at least $100?

        • @O O: Thanks for finding the details on the FAQ, great to know!
          @samlor: I have no idea, depending on eBay's criteria…

      • Can it be from various sellers? Paid through all at once in a cart?

  • +1

I guess it's time to move to Tassie…

  • Haven't seen many reports of people finding stuff to buy.
Anyone found any good bargains at all?

    • Nope, this is lame compared to the 20% off deal. I wonder if it's a coincidence that lots of items are priced at $99.

      • +1

You can add $1 item to get it up to $100.

    • I havent found a thing either …

I've trolled for pretty much the last day and nothing in this I want …

all in the lure to get a $50 voucher …

    • +3

Yes, there are no actual bargains. 654+ votes for a deal that has no bargains? Madness.

      • I'm sure most of the 654+ including me voted based on the last round of $50 vouchers which was excellent, before it started and we realised how limited this one is. So yeah, as JV say any bargains ?
        PS You didnt vote?

  • I went to look for some monitors this morning and couldn't find any that offered Free Click & Collect.

When I was looking yesterday, I thought the monitors being sold by Futu had this option, but not any more. Couldn't make up my mind to go for a 27in TN 1080p display or a 24in IPS 1080p dispaly last night :(

  • Can I bundle this deal with a decent wifi Printer? As I get pick-ups only from GoodGuys and DS only..

  • you will probably find that if your are not going to be pickup/collect from Big W or Woolworths you are not likely going to get the $50 voucher

  • +3

Just got myself a pair of Audio Techinica ATH-M50Xs for $185, cheap by normal standards, and then there's another $50 off, amazing headphones.

  • Can l pay with the $50 code l got last month and still get the voucher??

    • my guess is that you need the total (after $50 voucher) to be >$100 in order to qualify for the next voucher.

Source: I received an eBay $50 voucher even though I used a code on this deal: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/198566

  • I have a Paypal account with numerous email address attached to it. Let's just call the main email address #1. I used eBay account associated with email address #2, logged in to paypal with email address #2, paid, yet the paypal confirmation email went to email address #1. Should I be worried about getting my $50 coupon in a few weeks?

All the terms say is: Your eBay.com.au and PayPal accounts must be active at the time of redemption (not suspended nor made inactive by eBay or PayPal) and be registered under the same email address.

    • +1

It should be fine but with vouchers is a gamble, I wish ebay implement a notification email right after the purchase confirming people will get the voucher.

  • So this deal is only for those cities? How can you tell if you are illegible?
EDIT: damn.. no stores found, thanks anyway

  • is it just me or when you click on the items sold to see the previous price of the product, it shows an error?

    • +1

Yep that happens to me as well.

    • +2

Yeh happens sometimes. It's pretty annoying since you can't see who jacked up their prices.

      • exactly why its necessary

  • If I use my $50 voucher I got from last month on a purchase of $100 (bringing it down to $50), will I be able to get the 50 voucher?

    • i think people have done that in previous ebay promotions and it has worked despite it being against the t&c so try your luck

  • +3

Did anyone buy anything they actually wanted?

    • +6

no, that's not what ozbargain is for

    • Yup. 250GB Samsung 850 EVO SSD for $158. Considering the cheapest on Ozbargain has been around $145, I'd say it was worth it :)

      • I got the 120GB Samsung 850 EVO SSD for my parents (they only surf the web) for $102 + $50 voucher :-)
Cheapest SSD that I have purchased.

    • Bought a 730w modular power supply unit.

  • doesn't make sense, only some NSW stores have the click and collect option for me.

  • Thanks OP. I found a place to spend my 50$ voucher. I bought the last Panasonic Driving Recorder CY-VRP112T for 176$ to click and collect.

  • Does it work on items not listed from http://www.ebay.com.au/rpp/clickandcollect ?

As in, can I just filter anything in ebay with clickandcollect and it should work?

  • By Monday if no shops are willing to offer any bargains you can declare this deal isn't a bargain

  • 666 now…be prepared pals!

  • +2

I rang eBay and confirmed that if you use your current $50 voucher and it takes the total below $100 you wont be eligible for the new voucher

    • +1

Thanks for that, so it has to be $100 plus actual money, not vouchers.

  • -2

Can't find anything bargain worthy, I will keep looking.

  • This doesn't seem to be linked to any particular stores - it seems to be any click and collect at Big W or Woolworths. Is that correct?
Also, does anybody have an idea if this counts if you buy multiple items from the one seller totalling over $100? It's not clear from the terms and conditions.
    Thanks,

    • Both have been answered above but whatever

See all of the stores under the '1' link in OP. Any of those on all items that CC at woolies

      Yes, multiple items is fine

      • Thanks.
The link takes you to a search for any clickandcollect, so it seems to be any click and collect purchase.

  • Tried to find something to buy to get this deal…not understanding whether all of the "click&collect" sellers or only the ones shown on the promo page will qualify as eligible for the deal…ended up buying something else and not use "click&collect" and not getting the deal altogether… Looking back, I didn't even want to buy anything there to start with! And if I did I could've used a different search method to get the items I bought and find cheaper ones… Ughh this promotion is too confusing and one can be easily misled!

  • +1

Does anyone know what happens if you paid for an item using this $50 ebay voucher and the seller issues a refund? I suspect you basically get nothing back.

    • Yep that's correct. Never received an item using a voucher from this deal in 2013, seller issued a refund and I didn't get $10 credited to my PayPal balance.

  • +1

How many vouchers can you get per eBay account?

    • +1

      One per eBay account.

      • Thanks.
