  • Does anyone know what happens if you're buying an item that's $105 and you use one of the targeted 10% vouchers off, would it make your purchase ineligible for this voucher?

    • Yes ineligible. Be careful! My $109 order would have made it $99. Would have been so pissed lol

      • Haha, so what add another $1 item?

        • $110 - 10% = $99

          No voucher for you!

  • How you guys converting this 50 back into cash?

    • Cash Converters FTW

any idea how much i would get for it?

        • +1

It will be on your eBay account. Might need to sell the account with the voucher.

      Its not cash

More that's $50 off my next ebay purchase

If someone looking for something to buy, I think cat worming medicine such as this one is a great buy for this deal:
    Revolution For Cats 2.6 - 7.5kg - 6 pack - Long Expiry - Australian Stock for $50: http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/261496984473?_trksid=p2057872.m27…
Buying two of these and you have 12 months of supply for $110 - $50 voucher.

For people having trouble finding which listing offers CnC, there is a an option on the left hand side of eBay search results, near the bottom that allow you to filter results by Free Click & Collect. I find some listings such as the one above provide other shipping options (such as free post) by default, but you can change that to click and collect at check out.

You know you've been on OzBargain for too long when you're looking for something to buy as an excuse for taking advantage of an offer …

  • Anyone has any ideas if :
I could use use the 50 ebay voucher previously awarded for the June sale to buy a $249 item (the rest paid by paypal) and to be eligible for this promotion and get another 50 voucher ?

    Thanks

  • Is anyone else finding that even after selecting click and collect some items revert back to standard delivery?

I have tried changing several times, but I think I'm just going to let this deal pass me by.

    • Select a pickup store first.

    • Yeah had similar trouble, don't change your address or mobile at checkout. If you really want to do so do it in preferences before checkout.

  • I want to buy two items ($115 and $179) if I buy from the same eBay account will I get two vouchers?

    • +1

No, only once. FFS RTFM the terms & conditions "10. Only 1 voucher will be awarded per registered Australian eBay account (and if applicable per registered Australian PayPal account) during the Offer Period."

Click and Collect hasn't been a good experience. Bought an item off ebay and tried Click and Collect. Using courier tracking site provided by the supplier and the item arrived in BigW yesterday afternoon. Tried to go into BigW to collect but they can't find it and ask me to wait for the ready to pick up notification.

No idea how long it will take for BigW to sort it out. Should have just send it to my home address instead and there's no waiting game.

Anyone else having this issue? How long do you need to wait to receive the ready-to-pickup notification?

    • I haven't tried it, but I'd say click and collect is a great option if you're not in a rush for the item.

    • +2

Possibly arrived at BigW means arrived at BigW warehouse, not store. You really should wait for the notification before setting out. Personally I'd prefer C&C to playing the carding game with couriers.

    • You will receive an SMS (or an email into My eBay) and a 6 digit code when it's ready to pickup.

Your eBay order is ready. Simply Collect from Big W. Collection code: 590000

Do not go and pickup until you have the SMS with the code.

The tracking notification just lets you know where the item is, and it may have been loaded into BigW's loading dock but that doesn't mean it's ready for pickup until it's processed. It could be a half a day or a full day after shipping before you can actually grab your stuff.

    • +2

Same thing happened to me several times. The Big W at Macquarie always forget to scan the parcel on arrival. The scan will automatically sent you the SMS and email notification to collect.

If your tracking says delivered then go to them and ask to check manually whether the parcel arrived. I dunno why but everytime same thing happens and I need to explain them that unless they are scanning the parcel on arrival I will not get the SMS or any email notification as they sometimes forget to scan. Hope this helps.

      • Thanks. My was delivered to BigW Macquarie store as well. Been there twice and no luck with the people there. They pretty much just told me that they don't know and don't care and I have to wait to receive the SMS. I will have to try again.

      • AusPost tracking for my CnC parcel current status is
Tue 04 Aug 2015 14:49 Redirected NORTH RYDE NSW
        Is this normal for CnC?

    • It's taking longer than I expected. Shipping to Woolworths Strathfield, order placed 30 Jul, Shipped 31 Jul, today is 3 business days after, still no SMS nor email and code. Usually with this circumstances I would've gotten the item delivered to me Monday (two days ago)…

      • +1

I had to go to the store to chase it up a few times and on the final attempt they tried to find it and couldn't find the products. 25mins they finally found it along other people's products. The items have never been scanned by the store so you won't get a SMS/Email.

Personally I would never use this service again.

    • I ordered on the weekend, got the shipped email Monday evening and today eBay sent me email that is ready to collect from my local Woolies. About the same delay as if I had got it shipped to my home. So if I get the voucher Aug 12, I'm satisfied.

Guys, how do you actually select click and collect?

I'm in qld, but I have someone in sydney willing to send it up to me. When I go to buy the item, at the review order section it has the following options:

    Australia Post Parcel Post Parcel

Australia Post Parcel Post Parcel + Signature

Doesn't say anything about click and collect?

    • +1

Click on top left corner for account setting -> addresses, and add a postal address in Sydney. Then tries again.

      I may be wrong.

      • +1

You were right, the option came up when I put in a Sydney address, cheers

  • I've made a purchase, adding the item into the cart after I selected the click and collect store. The receipt/confirmation made no mentioned that it went through as a click and collect order though. Is that normal?

    • +2

Yes. You'll get a eParcel tracking number and that will tell you the status of the delivery. And as noted above, the tracking number may tell you it's delivered to the store, but that still doesn't mean you can get your parcel on that day.

The tracking number doesn't give you an indication of when it's ready for pickup — eBay does. Check email or SMS for the pickup code.

      • Thanks! Puts my mind at ease :)

  • Sweet!!

Apparently CBA/Mastercard denied payment to paypal for one of the two payments to the same ebay seller.
Paypal then automatically removed that item from my order, and continued to process the others.

      • An effective 33% off was totaly not worth 2+ hours of my time.
        Curse you ozbargain genes!

  • Don't think I'll ever use click and collect after this. Service is excruciatingly slow….. Something id normally get after 2 days of seller posting the item, now takes a week. Still waiting for notification.

    • Must be why they are giving $50 compensation while they sort the bugs out :)

  • Trying to purchase on ebay keep getting the following error, anyone know what the error is about or how to get around it? "Sorry, we're unable to process your request. Please try again. You haven't been charged yet."

I'm assuming it counts as part of the promotion as click & collect is an option.

  • Ended up purchasing a (Casio G-Shock Men's Watch GA-110-1B GA-110-1BDR) for $119. Was meant to be $149 but eBay stuffed up with some technicalities and sent out messages to multiple accounts reset passwords as there may have been unauthorised access on the accounts. For the 'inconvenience' they caused I got a coupon code worth $35. So I think I got a pretty good deal, only thing I really wanted from eBay after searching in other categories.

The $35 off coupon code I used looks auto-generated so anyone making purchases on eBay confirm it is a one-off please! It's worth the chance.

    Coupon Code: CAUOFFER2015

    Hope it works guys!

    • +1

      Just tried its targeted !!!

      • All good! Still think the Casio G-Shock was the only thing worth it.

  • Can someone please point out what I am missing

According to the eBay and PayPal order confirmation emails it will be delivered to me instead of C&C

    • Should direct you to enter your mobile number so they can SMS you to notify you when its ready for pick up. If not I'd probably contact them.

      • Thanks. Put in a cancellation request as it didn't ask for my phone number, just went straight to PayPal checkout.

  • Can it be from various sellers? Paid through all at once in a cart?

    • If you can make it one transaction of up to 10 items. But wouldn't each seller have their own transaction?

      • I am not sure how it works, is 1 cart = 1 transaction? or 1 cart of x sellers = x transactions.

      • Thats a good question.I bought 4 items from 4 different sellers and checked out in one cart. Then the email I got from ebay shows 4 different transaction ids.

ebay did not state clearly it should be from one seller or simply want to brush you off $50 voucher later.lets see what happens.

        • The q and a had the following on the question about buying different items to qualify.

Yes, that is possible. To do this you will need to use the shopping cart. You can add up to 10 items into the cart choosing “Add to cart” at checkout, choose “Click & Collect at Woolworths or BIG W” as your delivery option and then pay for them in one transaction. If you spend $100 or more in that transaction, you qualify for the $50 eBay voucher.

        • @oscarwear:

Thanks, but are you 100% sure of this?

        • @RtN:
Can only go on what I read on the Question and Answer section of the promo page. As long as you added it all into cart and then went to checkout under cart I believe Ebay would treat it as one transaction.

Thats what i relied on when taking up the offer so will wait and see about the voucher!

Still can't find any bargains to get his voucher. Deal is pointless

Might as well wait until the next 20% off all eBay

    • +2

The deal isn't pointless in general - for someone who has been waiting to buy a particular item that's over $100, and also regularly purchases on eBay, it's basically a free $50.

  • Is buying couple of Xiaomi 16000mAh Portable Mi Power Bank from Mushtato any good? They are selling for $39.95 each.

  • I ended up picking up some 6.5" components
Will use the $50 towards a new 4 channel amp, hopefully there will be another sale!

  • Well I ducked out since i had the email and sms that it was ready for collection …

Instead I waited an hour cause the Big W website for whatever they had to check was down
I still didnt walk away with my speakers

So just some advice maybe ring up and see if the website is up and that your item is actually there for pickup

    TERRIBLE

This is my FIRST and also the LAST time doing Click & Collect

I bought something on 28 July morning, got the email in 30 July afternoon saying its ready for pickup

Went to store on 30 July night, the staff asked for the pickup code and i gave it out… Waited for half an hour and they couldn't find the parcel, asked me to go again on Friday.

On Friday, again ! Talked with almost everyone from staff, seniors, store manager… Asked me to wait again until Monday today

Didn't go to store this time, called them and same issue… NOTHING FOUND ! Asked me to call Big W customer service

Called Big W customer service and they transferred me to eBay Click & Collect team

The eBay Click & Collect team is HELPFUL but the staff told me the order is marked PICKUP ALREADY by the store and ask me to go back to the store as they couldn't do much if the store marked PICKUP ALREADY

Called the store and the staff said they will investigate it = =

    FXXK….

    • which store was it?

      • +1

        Boxhill VIC

        • +1

been there, a real messy store!
wouldn't be surprise for your experience! :-)

    • I don't want to open dispute case on Paypal as it's not the seller's fault…

The seller gave me the tracking number with proof of sent out
Australia Post with the tracking number also proof of delivered

So not sure what happened in the Big W store after they received

How do I claim back the $155 lost from BigW?

      • seller should be able to claim back from that BigW/WW receiver…….

    • +1

UPDATE Just pickup the item today URGHH

  • Tonight, my C&C location has disappeared from the participating stores even though it was valid over the weekend?!?

  • Just curious is there meant to be a confirmation after you made the $100 click and collect? How do you know you will get the voucher?

    • There is no confirmation. Just a delivery notification once it's shipped out, but there's zero indication of whether it qualifies for the voucher.

You just pray and hope you get the voucher.

  • Is there a list of stores the $50 voucher can be used at? The last voucher offer didn't disclose that you could only redeem at certain eBay stores - that became clear only after vouchers were issued.

The list was reasonable and fortunately I found something I needed, but would have liked to know upfront that voucher wasn't applicable eBay-wide!

    • +1

The detailed 23 point eBay terms and conditions for this deal do not state any limitations on which eBay stores at which the voucher can be used. If there is any attempt to later specify limitations not mentioned in the terms and conditions under which people took up the deal, I expect this would be of great interest to the ACCC.

  • Made a purchase using Cashreward but doesn't come up on the transaction list. Pretty much cookies was enabled doesn't look like that 3% cashback worked at all!

    • Takes up to 7 days to show up.

      • I don't think so usually comes thru next day or within hours. All cookies were enabled no ad blocked. Usually I get it with an hour, only this purchase there's nothing meaning this promotion probably don't work with it.

Emailed cash rewards they say max 7 days but if nothing then the purchase was not tracked, can do nothing as eBay ones are non questionable

Cash rewards is useless and takes months to get credit back to your account.

I only got some purchases redeemed from last December not too long ago.

        Rubbish service

        • From Cash Rewards

          Hi,

          Thank you for your enquiry.

If the cashback has still not been awarded to your account 7 days after the date of purchase; please reply to this email with a copy of your invoice and we will submit an enquiry with the store. Enquiries for non reported transactions may take up to 90 days for a resolution.

          Customer Service

        • So far so good for me. Atleast i am getting something back on my purchases.

        • Not sure if you are showing off there.

          Here's my response from them.

          Thank you for your enquiry.

Cashback may take up to 7 days to be reported in full to your account. Please see the store page outlining the time-frame for cashback to be confirmed. As this date of purchase is not yet 7 days past, please allow a few more days for any valid cashback to be reported in your account.

Please note that eBay has a 'No Enquiry Policy' (as listed under Special Terms on their store page), so if cashback still has not been awarded to your account 7 days after the date of purchase; something has gone wrong along the way, and your transaction hasn't tracked. If this occurs, we are unable to award cashback rewards for your purchase. Please see the store page for more information.

If we can be of any further assistance in the meantime, please reply to this email and thank you using Cashrewards when you shop online.

        • @neonlight: Not sure why will i be showing off here.

My response was from another store purchase, seems like ebay is different policy. Wait 7 days and see.

  • Well I am now officially disappointed with the seller and ebay

    https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/204417?page=5#comment-2947…

SSD marked as ship with no response to my cancellation request made 1 minute after purchase

Oh well, just gonna have to enjoy my new purchase.

    • You can still try to get a refund

  • Have anyone got the $50 yet?

    • +1

"Important terms" listed above will answer your question

  • My experience with C&C has been extremely lacklustre.

Ordered 3 items to make up to $100 (one 64GB microSD from PCByte, and Xiaomi 16000mAh powerbank and Piston 3 Headphones from Mushtato).

The first one from PCByte arrived OK…eta was monday, picked it up on Tue.

The 2nd one…AusPost said it had been picked up by the Woolies courier on Wednesday. Went in to Woolies yesterday, nope, no sign. Went in today, and asked the manager to check…turns out instead of separating the C&C from internal mail, they mixed up the 2, and internal mail is only sent out twice a week from central to each store.

He retrieved the internal mail bag, and there was my parcel, plus another half a dozen that he scanned right there…

Had I not pushed them to check the internal mail pouch, it would have made it 2 weeks or so for something that should take no more than a few business days to get to me directly.

    • +1

My C&C at Big W North Ryde arrived at North Ryde PO and then got redirected and delivered at Alexandria. I have no idea what happens to it after that. Normal delivery would have taken a few days but now looks like it's going to take weeks if I ever get it.
