      • no, it means that you need to use the same email address ebay/paypal account (where you spend $100) to use $50 voucher.

    • Just change your registered email in eBay to match your PayPal email.

    • +2

In the past I've have no problems with ebay in wife's email and paypal in mine, even when we had to complain about not getting a promo in the past with multiple CSRs.

That said, they could technically be pricks and deny you. I really don't like these 'get xxx later' promos as you have no idea if you actually qualify. The % off ones you can see in the purchase if it is working or not.

    • it should be fine. I mucked this up the last time, yet still got the previous $50 voucher.

    • Seriously so I need to create another eBay account? Because I don't have the same email?

    • I too used an ebay email different from my paypal email.

Rang ebay and they said cancel the transaction, explaining to seller what happened
and re-purchase with the correct details. ie. both email matching.

    • I've got 2 emails registered with paypal and using my ebay account hope it works still as its still under same account.

  • Was really going to go with this deal and get a wireless charger and usb but eh not worth it just wasting money.

  • Question:

Can this offer be used in conjunction with $50 ebay voucher to be utilised in July?

    • probably no: "15. Not to be used in conjunction with any other eBay coupon/voucher."

      • I believe no.15 is referring to redeeming the $50 voucher but the t&c's are confusing.

As a Queenslander, I feel left out!

    • why? it is applicable to qld'ers. (just less choice.)

    • no..don't just move to Australia ;)

  • How do we use the cash rewards

    • Go to cash rewards and go through eBay by that.

  • Is it just me, or is there basically nothing available that is eligible for this deal? Even the BigW store doesn't have it as an option. Or am I searching wrong?

  • +1

Well, the "Good" Guys can go and get stuffed. Had an eligible item in my cart and they made it ineligible before I checked out.

    Weak.

    • +4

      You just got good guyed.

  • +1

It's too hard to bloody find things I want that have click & collect available…

  • +1

Was going to grab something from PCCG, but their ebay prices are like $50 more than their web site :(

    • It's more but they have no shipping costs on ebay and they do if you purchase through their website,
so if you purchase something big/heavy it sorta breaks even.

You'll have to do some comparisons at checkout lol

    • I've emailed PCCG to see if they can list something on eBay with free postage and their response was 'We list our best possible prices up front online, which unfortunately doesn’t leave any room for additional discounts.'

  • Hey I just got this deal offer in an email from cash rewards. I'm in QLD. Gamechanger or new deal?

    • Cashrewards T&C's don't mention state limitation.. so could be nationwide now?!

  • Also offered via Cash Rewards - hence get an additional 2% cash back!
Pity I can't find anything great on the deals.. very limited IMO.

  • the click and collect filter doesn't show all the items you can buy for some reason

I was looking for a new ipod and I notice that the prices are all exactly $50 more than the apple.com.au store. hmmmmmmm

I have a 10% off coupon for purchase over $150. If I use it, will it make me ineligible for this offer?

    • was wondering the same thing..

        • yeah i read that, but some people said it, so sort of waiting for the confirmation.. Thanks for pointing that out though..

        • @h4zey:
It's not possible to find out and give you confirmation, because by the time we would get the vouchers (12th Aug), it's too late to inform you so that you can then take the risk and purchase.

I for one will take the risk because I know it worked previously, for me, in a similar situation.

Like others have tried already with this new promo, you could call eBay, but, you are likely to get different answers from different people.

In the end, if you want to get double value, you need to take a risk.

        • @nismo:
hahaha thanks.. I just realised that too, I took the risk.. at the end of the day, you wont get anywhere in life if you never take any risk :)

    • -2

      yes, nub. try reading.

      • lol.. sorry qlders maybe next time ;)

    • Did u take the risk?

  • Is there a way to search just the items on sale?

Looking to find an air purifier (save me having to wipe down surfaces all the time from carpet dust).

    • +1

Search for whatever you want, then under 'Show Only' on the left hand side, select 'Free Click and Collect'.

      • Thanks.

        • +1

Says it in the main post.

  • Where do you select Pick Up from Big W / Woolworths?

  • Any 240gb SSD ? or Computer Chairs worth buying?

I was planning to get a Multi -region Blu-ray player for $105.9 , now they bumped it up to $525.9, nice….

    http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Laser-BLU-BD2000-Multi-Region-Blu…

    • I'd say they've sold out and bumped cost up to put people off. Gives chance to restock.

      • do they that so the stats don't reset? Do store listings ever expire?

        • +1

Yes, more and more are doing that. You can leave store listings to run out of stock and restock within 3 months before the listing is deleted but the way ebay works now is with visability. The more time that passes without the listing being viewed (& more relevant an item selling from that listing), the lower the listing gets ranked.

Store listings can be set to run for 30 days or GTC (good till cancelled).

        • @whodidthat: thanks interesting. Never really got the concept of "rankings" for ebay, as I would have assumed people would sort by price after finding what they want… no?

        • +3

@Son ofa Zombie: ebay is ridiculously complicated these days. They've well and truely stuffed the place up.
They currently have a "love" of big brand businesses (such as Good Guys), dropshippers and sellers based in China. All of those get preferential treatment both in ranking and in lower fees.

Listing no longer means easily visable, even sorting by price.
ebay brought in search algorithms a while back that basically show what they want you to see in many cases.

If you've been "naughty" as a seller (even questioning their policies, etc,.) you get punished by listings lowered in ranking and sometimes hidden. It's all too ridiculous for words.
There have been rumours for a long time about "rolling blackouts" where listings are hidden, even capping the amount of sales from "the small guy".

        • @whodidthat:
So sorting by price may not, in fact, show the lowest price?
Some sellers with better prices could be blocked out?

        • @King Tightarse: That is possible

        • +1

@whodidthat: But then can't you then say their sort function is technically not functioning as it is supposed to and it will affect buyers? Ultimately they seem to prefer buyers (over sellers - basing this from their preferential treatment towards buyers when it comes to disputes) so if they affect the buyers then their buyers will no longer buy?

I guess you could say if there are listings "hidden" then how is the buyer gonna know anyway?

        • @whodidthat:
If that information is correct, eBay has lost the plot.
Why even have sellers on there if they are playing with the sort order and buyers cant get to them?
Seems insane for eBay, those blocked sellers and not good for customers either.
WTF are they doing? I thought eBay was trying to build customer confidence after the data breaches. The idea of them in the background piddling around with the sort order does the opposite.
Really not letting the free market just be itself.

        • +1

@illumination: Their sort function is working as it is supposed to - the way they set it up anyway. There have been several different search algorithms over the past 5 years. Donahue was behind all this in his push to be come "THE" shopping mall and come away from the "old" ebay. He wanted rid of the small guy sellers. Who knows what the new guy will do now ebay and Paypal are "divorced".
I was asked to do a seller survey last week - some interesting questions in it and obvious they know they have alienated so many people.

Their bottom line became the almighty $, whatever it took to get the most. They didn't care a hoot about buyer confidence - that was words.

A lot of buyers no longer buy on ebay, that is another problem. Sales for a lot of long term small guy sellers are down dramatically, especially over the last 18 months.

No, buyers never know there are hidden listings. Only sellers know when they keep track of what is viewed and what is not.

        • @King Tightarse: A lot has gone wrong under Donahue rule. I think they know that now - whether they can or will fix it - who knows. They have definately lost the plot at this stage.

        • +1

          @whodidthat:
Right, well I know these days with computer parts which are pretty price reactive and thinly margined, that a lot of sellers are cheaper via their B & M stores in may case because of excessive eBay fees and eBay loss risk costs (crazy returns) these days. Poor bastards have to factor in higher eBay fees, Paypal fees, insane returns loss %, and shipping. The are shooting their own foot and becoming the pricier alternative in many instances. Easily adds $75 or so to an example $350 component so ~ eBay $425 vs $350 in store.

        • @King Tightarse: Exactly

    • Is this one

LASER BD2000 Multi Region Blu-Ray DVD Player 1080P HDMI USB DTS/Dolby Media $119.95 Click & Collect at Big W

differs from the $525.90 one you mentioned?

      • yes, it's exactly the same, but the thing is you will need to pay around $14 more, and usually this blu ray player goes for $99 in Big W stores which is the normal price

  • Is this available to all ebay stores that offer click and collect? Or is it at a limited number of retailers? Thanks!

    • +3

It's available to any stores with click and collect at Big W and Woolworths.

      • Thank you :)

  • -7

No Click & Collect option for QLD, SA. No deal for me

  • Can't select pick up, is it available to Canberra?

    • Probably not since ACT is not included… even though ACT is technically "in" NSW lol

  • Anyone know if pccasegear is included in the promotion ? Their items are available for C&C.

    • Yep.

  • any good deals?

  • Added two items from Masters.. No option to click and collect to Woolworths or Big W.

    • -5

      Well, derr.

You will find that items from Coles aren't available for collection at their opposition either.

      • +2

Except that Masters is part of the Woolworths Group, just like Big W and Woolworths

        • Some people are only in this world to try to cause pain to others. For everything else, there's AXEX

  • Good deal, but not that much to buy (couldn't be bother trawling for stuff I don't really need anyway! lol), ended up buying 4 powerbanks from mushtatoo

    2 x Xiaomi 16000mAh
    2 x Xiaomi 5000mAh

Pity they didn't have the 10000mAh in stock.

    $111.80, with the $50 voucher I think it's a good deal.

I'll prob keep the a 5000mAh ultra thin and end up giving the rest away. Too good a deal not to buy I guess :)

    • +2

Can I have one of your give away? Thanks! ;)

      • i should clarify to my family, but you'll have first dibs in the unlikely event they don't want it ;)

    • +5

You could have saved $111.80 if u didn't buy.

Esp since you didn't get want you wanted.

plus you are giving them away!

In reality, you probably don't want to hear it, but it was probably the worst deal ever. Lol!

      • You're probably right, but I like to think of it as buying Christmas/Birthday presents early :)

Surely anyone reading this on OzBargain has purchased something they didn't need but was too cheap to walk away from.

        • yes. haha, i can relate. I still have a large box of frypans that I planned to "broden". It seemed like a good idea at the time (18months ago!)

        • +1

          @Son ofa Zombie:
I still have a large box of CD Jewel Cases sitting around from Sept 2012! https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/78937

        • @nismo:

          What's a CD?

  • Lame. Not available in my NSW city or adjacent VIC city.

  • where does it say on ebay T&cs' the deal is for NSW/VIC and Tas? feeling left out here in QLD….!!

  • Any good external hard drive deals? Looking for 1T and something slim

  • Ok another question :) I have a $10 off ebay voucher which expires soon. Can i use it with this deal providing the total is still over the $100 click and collect?

    Thanks!

      • Thanks missed that comment, I dug through the FAQs on ebay's site no mention on the main page or a * stating this.

        • +1

You'd better chat with eBay assistance for clarification

          15. Not to be used in conjunction with any other eBay coupon/voucher.

may mean the voucher come at 12 August 2015, not the one you have at the moment.

        • @O O: Thanks will do, if not hopefully theres something else worth getting with the $10 one. Trade off in risk against the 50 dollar one, the customer service reps seem to have different answers to some things when ive asked in the past :)

        • @Bargainz: Agree.

  • +1

I need to use $50 VOUCHER… nothing i want from ebay click and collect…FML biggest first world problem

    • +1

I would have offered you cash for it earlier today.
      Try selling in classifieds.

      • +1

how would he sell his voucher? It's linked to his account. Is there a good workaround?
