Can't believe you haven't learned basic manner. I have free tooth paste for bad breath.

    • G'day Orange,
Can you msg me your order number.
It's possible someone made an error packing if your box was not the full weight.
What sort of scale did you weigh on?

Strict rule from now on——Never buy fruits online. You never know what and when will you get, The greed of getting fresh and juicy fruit might end up burning some of your blood. Never ever again

  • Got the fruits today. Very happy with the purchase. I wish I could fill my house with fresh citrus fragrance like this all year round.

I have been buying various products from FHD and very happy with the products and service.

To people that still haven't received the fruits, hope they will arrive soon. Usually I'm quite happy with Aus Post service but they don't do very well this time, lack of communication definitely doesn't help.

Geez, I feel so sorry for tlarnold :(

I got my 15kg box early Thursday morning (North shore Sydney).
Missed delivery, picked up from post office at 5pm.

Wife and relatives loved the fruit.
Lemons are large, heavy and smell lemony.
Oranges were big, heavy, juicy and sweet (like Oranges used to taste 10+ years ago).
Blood oranges were small, didn't look like A-grade, but tasted very nice.
My wife loved the Tangelos - best she's had in ages.

BTW, Australia post have lots of *#@-ups lately. They also outsource a lot of their deliveries to third parties.

For large bulk orders, I've received 20+ books in a big mail bag addressed to the wrong person. My books went to them (all the way in Tasmania).

I didn't get tracking numbers, but got tracking emails from Australia post Thursday morning, just before I missed their delivery :(.

FWIW, most of the fruit can last a week or two without degrading. These don't' seem to be waxed, so may lose some moisture. As long as they are not bruised, they shouldn't go rotten quickly. Mine were packed in a cardboard box and I think the could breath a bit. If they were wrapped plastic and picked wet, they may get blue mould quickly.

I used to work in Vic Flemington markets 25+ years ago for uni pocket money. Fruit hasn't been as good since the duopoly has cornered the fruit market. Lots of fruit is picked early, stuck in cold storage, gassed, then colour sprayed on, or artificial ripeners used. Back in the old days, sme of the fruit is bought from growers / wholesalers in the morning Tuesday or Thursday, and left 'in the open', with a taup and rope for Saturday, Sunday, and still being sold during the week. I wouldn't worry too much about citrus. If it was stone fruit, or berries, it would be another story…

      Ymmv.

Sorry to hear that some people didn't get their fruit that they paid for on time.

Not received my delivery either, or a tracking number for that matter.

Gonna have to buy some at the supermarket tomorrow now. I honestly don't hold out much hope of the fruit being of good standard whenever it arrives next week.

It's a shame, but I doubt the farmer will get any repeat business from me.

You need to buy from shop bz you didnt get your delivery. I need to buy even after receiving my parcel…It was nothing but a shocker. I ordered Mandarin and got smallest possible oranges. They asked for the pictures I sent them and that was it. Trust me, if you have ordered oranges, you may get a good delivery, but if you ordered mandarins, be ready for a huge disappointment like me.
But yes, they are very juicy and fresh, seedless…but plain oranges…and as you can see, the associate here has not replied to any of my posts. and he wont reply it to this posts…So good luck and keep fingers crossed

Can you try keep all your whining to one post.

    • You got 100% Afourer mandarins.
Yes they are smaller but that's because we deemed the smaller fruit to be of better quality for a number of the reasons you listed yourself namely #1 low seeded & #2 Juicy. If we has sent bigger fruit yes it might have been a bit easier to peel but it'd also be full of seeds and not nearly as juicy. You are disappointed because your definition of quality is Large fruit and that's not what arrived because we sent what we thought was good quality which is smaller fruit.
Also you've said they are not sweet nor sour….. er so they are perfect???
Have a look in the shops these days at punnets of mandarins. They are selling the smaller grades of fruit at very good premium because that is what the customer is chasing. We simply sent what we thought the most people would think is the best fruit, its just that your thoughts are different to a lot (the majority) of other peoples when it comes to what the best piece of fruit is.

1- you cant peel and you call premium quality????
2- If they are not sour, they are perfect for you???
3- Next time, may be sent Grapes size mandarins to your customers because they will be even more juicy

3- If you cant peel tell me the difference in oranges and mandarins

4- This pocket size fruits and everywhere outside the shop for either free or for a very cheap price.

I never complained about juicy or freshness, but what is the use when you cant peel and kids cant eat. You dont order mandarins for juicer and just to drink juice.

This is my last reply and complain here. You r so called 'Premium Quality'has already gone in the bin.

Tim, a word of advice; DONT feed the Trolls http://rationalwiki.org/wiki/Don't_feed_the_Troll . This guy is obviously not worth responding to as he cannot be reasoned with. Focus on more important things.

  • Received my fruit yesterday. Very happy with it. Mandarins, oranges and grapefruit delicious.

  • Got mine yesterday!! Yes the oranges and mandarins are very juicy, but hoped to be sweeter. Oranges are seedless, but the mandarin have a seed or two. Not bad. I don't consume a lot of fruit, but I wanted to help the local farmers.

  • I'm not sure what kind of drugs one poster here is smoking but I received my assorted mix of Blood and Naval Oranges, and Mandarines and they're all very sweet (except the bloods they are a tad sour). Overall, very good fruit. Thank you OP.

These Afourer aren't like the ones in the supermarket - they are really sweet and juice. Very nice.

  • Finally got an email from AustPost this morning and parcel tracker is now alive.
Says it will be delivered today. Fingers crossed the fruits were stored in a cool place all along.

    • Got mine this morning in Melbourne.

Fruit condition looks fine, so appears they were stored ok.

Only had a mandarin so far which was so much nicer than the supermarket version.

      • mine arrived too mandarin nice size and sweet

      Mine has finally arrived. Phew.

  • I'm in Melbourne and It's now almost Monday evening, and I'm still waiting. Checked the Tracking number at Austpost, and it's still being processed since Tuesday 18/8. :(((

I am including a picture of the average size/quality of fruit I received.

Awesome job Tim - hopefully the other orders will roll in over the next few days, the quality will be great and your worries will reduce. Hope to hear of similar deals in future for your company!

    Hi Ozbargainers,
We are very relieved to hear that most of the missing fruit has now made it's way to recipients and remained in good condition.
If yours is still to arrive or has arrived in poor condition please do let us know either via a private msg or your FHD order.
We are still to get any indication from Auspost as to why a few pallets went astray but I can say that for the most part they do a great job for us. This is the first time in 6 years that we've had a large issue like this however it couldn't have come at a worse time with our biggest ever week of orders. We want to thank you guys for your patients if your fruit was delayed and understanding with the situation and want to ensure you that we're working with auspost to find ways to minimise any chance of it happening again.
Thanks to all who placed an order (as mentioned it was our biggest week yet) and supported this bargain.
We hope you are enjoying your fruit from our family farm in SA's sunny Riverland….even if some peoples arrived a couple days later than we would have initially liked.
    Cheers

      Thanks Tim,
My box finally arrived on Tuesday around 5:30 pm. They were nicely packed and seemed still fine. I tried some blood oranges and mandarins, and they were very juicy and sweet/sour. Good to know that they have not been waxed and fungicide like the supermarket variety.

Received my delivery yesterday and the fruit is still in good condition. Love the juicy mandarin and tangelo!

Tim, thanks for staying with us and keeping us informed in the last stressful week. Will order again in the next round.

  • I have to say that the mandarins, tangelos and blood oranges we got were really really good.
    Great, great flavour.
Unfortunately, now we know what great citrus tastes like, the stuff we are getting from the supermarkets taste awful. Well, not so much taste awful, but don't taste of anything much at all.
This truly was a premium product and worth every cent.
Would get another 20kg of Afourers, but they're out of season now.
    Damn.

  • For those still following this, we have another free shipping deal on our fruit today at Farmhouse Direct.
