You will need to spend at least $125

      • Thanks, just bought from Kathmandu

  • +1

Does the $100 have to be purchased from ONE of the participating stores? Or is it only necessary to check out $100 in one transaction regardless of which participating stores you are buying the goods from?

    • +3

Nah you can do it with multiple participating retailers, just needs to be paid for in one transaction.

      • cool

    • Did you read the bold text in the deal info?

  • Dam..I still don't know what to buy >.<

Looking at bug zapper from Masters, are they any good in zapping locusts? lol

  • Does anyone have any experience/opinions on the J5 CREATE USB/3 Laptop Docking Station range or wormhole cables?
    Example http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/J5-CREATE-USB-3-0-Laptop-Ultra-Do…
    And http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/J5create-USB-3-0-Wormhole-Switch-…

I keen on getting one, just wanted to know if its a good brand/product.

  • how do you just search a particular item in good guys ebay store? THey don't seem to have the in-store search function?

  • Did you guys receive confirmation about the voucher after you made the purchase? I didn't receive anything. Just want to confirm.

    • I think you won't until October

  • -1

Sad even Super Cheap Auto jacking up their prices now

    • +1

has a catalogue just ended? I know there was a clearance over the weekend that was rather good, has the product you were looking for just gone back to normal price?

I bought a bunch of stuff on saturday night and it was all the same as store/website prices. Even the stuff in the clearance.

    • I think it was the catalogue ending. I got 3 x Pro Quip Platinum Jerry Cans plus a small item for just over $100 which was pretty good once I take the $50 off something else I buy.
They are now full price on both ebay and website
Added savings for when I use them to save on fuel lol

  • Futu Online I'm sure have whacked on $20 on this SSD http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Samsung-850-EVO-500GB-SATA-III-In… and for that I'll buy elsewhere.

    • Where, let us know

      • Yep they have jacked up the price for sure for the 850 Evo 500 GB Sata III . Just checked my eBay purchase history and saw that I bought the same SSD from FUTU for $249 in August.

  • Compelled to buy something, just nothing I'd consider a good deal from the included sellers.
Shameful to see the opportunistic price hikes everyone's pointed out.

Day 3 and there are still no bargains to be found…

  • Thanks OP , i bought a cheapie lens for my camera from the good guys ………….

Didn't find anything exciting. But in need of microwave replacement so bought one off TGG

Cheapest was $99 Good guys selling $109. For extra $10 I get a voucher so I guess its alright

    • I wouldn't have gone cheap on a microwave - you heat up/cook your food in that thing!

      • +1

I've done the research on that model. Looks fine to me 4/5 stars on most reviews

  • +1

Got 2 things i was planning to buy anyway.

  • Anyone notice this?

Xbox one console $385 from Big W

    http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Microsoft-Xbox-One-500GB-Console-…

    • That's a refurb from grays online

      • True that. They should really
        Put that In the title

    • Very dodgy

  • +2

Dicksmith just dropped the Fitbit Charge HR to $149.95 click & collect, just after I ordered it from Good Guys last night at $157. Not too bad if you are looking for it considering the lowest I have seen it go to is about $127-129.

    • -1

Hmmm. Decisions, decisions. Do I use my existing $50 off voucher from the last promo and buy at $149.95, technically meaning I've spent 5c too little to qualify for this promo, or do I fight every Ozbargain instinct and pay $157 from Good Guys knowing I have a slightly increased chance of receiving this $50 voucher…

      • sifnt buy another small item too :p

        • Yep. Found a $3 9v battery to add to the Dick Smith order to take me over the $150 threshold. Cheers.

          What's sifnt?

        • @UncleRico:
          "Sif not"
          i.e.
          As if not

  • Arrgh. Times running and I can't find anything worth buying !!!!

    • Times running… fit bit deal above.

    • Maybe a TV Media Player from futu online that might interest you. I bought it so that I don't have to keep using discs all the time.

  • So once we get the voucher can we use it for any other ebay store or specifically selected stores?

  • I bought a car cd player was 30% off (which I was going to buy over the weekend anyway) and a oil filter from super cheep auto's eBay store. Order total came to $113 bought at Friday at 11am paid with paypal and picked it up later on in the day.
Since then I have gotten 2 eBay emails telling me to buy stuff to get a $50 voucher..
Are these emails just generic or have I done something that has disqualified from getting one?
How do we find out if we are getting one? :)

    • +1

yeah same here, do not worry, it's system generated.

  • Guess I'll wait till the next sale.

  • +3

    Me too.
No bargains that I needed. Ebay are failing with their attempts to increase sales. The retailers are adept at responding to these funded voucher promotions by pumping the prices. It's routine now.
EBay are missing the long game completely IE it is becoming well known that due to their fees and price pumping, they are often the dearest way to buy. Its especially obvious with tech where margins are slim. So they lose more market share.
So they come up with another genius promotion and so it goes.

    • Yep, same feeling here.

Although there was one thing that I would have been happy with. However, even though it showed up in all the searches, when you go to the product page it says out of stock :(

  • Got some stuff from Peters that I wanted anyway.. came right on $100 and $11 p/h (or $8.5 with 2.5% CR)

  • +1

    This just wasted my time.
It matters little that my time has no value.
    It was still a waste.

Wasn't really put on this planet to chase eBay vouchers.
Not sure why i'm here to be honest, but once i find out you'll be the first to know.

  • I agree. These eBay deals are getting less and less attractive. Only if you already needed something rather wanting something, even with that no one wants to pay the same as retail or more.

I'm not sure why shops decided to become greedy jack up prices thinking customers not smart enough to check beforehand. Wouldn't they rather have a sale and eBay is paying the difference anyway it's not like the shop offer the voucher

  • To be eligible for the promotion, did you have to necessarily pay "by" PayPal, or could you also pay "through" PayPal via your credit card?

    • +1

      Paying through is fine.

  • +1

Are we supposed to get our vouchers before 1 October?

    • +1

Suppose to be on 1st of October.

  • Ordered something to be picked up at The Good Guys still no notification yet. I wonder why…

The item was in stock when I placed order for collection….

    • +1

That's odd. I did a click & collect at Masters and Autobarn and they were each ready within 2 days. Maybe worth giving Good Guy branch a call - either way you are eligible for your voucher.

      • Yeah I ended up calling them and was ready to collect, then I receive text and eBay message….so I had to trigger that

        • haha yeah each individual branch is different. Had people complain about Dick Smith click & collect ready times however I purchased something last night and received a text at 8:00am this morning saying to come in. Depends if the person on shift knows what they're doing I guess.

  • anyone got their voucher yet?

  • +1

Last time we got it around 9-10am lets see we get it again.

Remember to tell seller not to refund you else you get nothing. Either reship or send you when there's stock. There are some sellers who put in stock on listing but actually got none. Really annoyed about that. And also refunded you without your consent that's what happened to me last promotion

  • I've received my items but the seller did not update the status to 'sent'. I've sent them a message this morning requesting they do that. What if they don't do this before eBay sends out the vouchers today?

    • Then just claim the voucher use it first and if they don't send dispute.

  • It shouldn't matter eBay should of registered the promo as long as you met the spend conditions.

  • +6

Anyone received the $50 off code yet? I havent got mine

  • Not yet.

  • Anyone recieved the $50 voucher yet? I haven't got anything in my eBay account or email.

  • Haven't gotten mine as of yet (was kind of expecting it between 9-10am). Really want to buy something that is already discounted from DSE but am waiting for the voucher.

Anyone else have previous experience with these things? How long does it usually take for them to send it through?

  • Yeah, not yet!!

  • +3

    Wait til 10am me thinks

  • didnt get my voucher yet.

  • ….Well there goes the 10am theory. Damn ebay!

    • Your theory was correct!

      Edit: woops wasn't yours haha

  • +4

scroll to the bottom of my ebay summary

    • I retract my previous comment - no email or anything but yes at the bottom it is there! Thanks!

    • ^ This!

  • Just got mine, at 10am aest on the dot.

  • hehe spot on its really 10am got the code!

  • Just got mine too. $105 mx master from futu.

  • +1

Cool got my $50 code.. I did use my previous $50 code on a $145 item which brought it down to $95, then threw in a box of coffee capsules to get just over $100 total purchase.

    • Are they emailing the code this time?

      • +2

As soon as I hear ppl started to receive theirs at 10am just above, I just went to the My Ebay portal and scroll down to the very bottom and it was there.

        • +1

It's a good thing I saw your comment - because I never would have found it otherwise. They certainly don't want you to actually use the voucher.

        • @macrocephalic:

That's what I originally thought, but then if you look at some ebay items it says "Want to know how to get it cheaper" which leads you to your voucher.

        • +1

Likewise, thank you for your post darkage. I thought that I'd better check this thread before abusing the crap out of them!

  • Can't the code be used in conjunction with another discount? I'm trying to use along with Dick Smith's 30% off code and this one replaces it.

Edit: can't be used in conjunction with another voucher, according to t&cs.

    • Reallly annoyed that the Dick Smith Logitech shifter is apparently click & collect only though it's out of stock everywhere but still listed.

Makes me feel a little better that the $50 off voucher can't be used in conjunction.

  • I did noit get mine! i even looked at button =/ not happy.

  • +3

The code is "CGET50" thanks to mikkim4eva
I reckon this is a mass-code & will apply to everyone who is eligible

  • +1

Yay mine was at the bottom of the my ebay summary too… now to work out what to spend it on!

  • Remember the code doesn't cover postage….That means to MAX your savings, pick item which are with FREE shipping

  • +1

We don't get cash back on using voucher, do we? Or I am too greedy…?

    • No, you just tried to look for super bargain

  • I used this for pay for an auction, but I think the seller is going to refund me (item didn't sell for much).

Would eBay let me use it again? :S

    • same thing just happened to me… I am trying to contact ebay now. From previous comments, it's gonna be a pain trying to get this sort and when it does, the voucher expires!

      • Damn that sucks. Better to just use it for buy it now in the future.

  • +1

I got the voucher in my email today, but my missus didn't get one…Anyone else in the same boat?

    • I didn't get an email but the code still worked. It also appeared in 'My ebay'.

      • Great..like you said, it's in her account under "my ebay"

    • Wow,surprised that your missus didn't whoppa you

  • Any cheap bargain around $50? ;)
