Hungry Jacks 10 Nuggets for $2.95 (Nationwide)

1060

Saw this on Facebook, 10 nuggets for $2.95 is pretty good deal, as the regular price for 6 nuggets are $3.

Mod 14/10 11:40PM: This deal was originally posted as QLD only on 28/9, a subsequent deal was posted on 7/10 for a single store only in VIC. A third deal was then posted on the 13/10 stating it's now available VIC wide, which was duplicated into the existing VIC deal. Tonight on the 14/10 another deal was posted for SA which in turn confirmed that as of this morning the deal is available on Hungry Jacks Facebook and will be at stores nationwide. We have merged these 2 deals into the original post and made this update accordingly. Link updated to Hungry Jacks Facebook in case verification in store is needed. Thanks to blahman & swiggity swag for their prior posts.

    Worst nuggets ever! Just sayin…

    • +4

That is what the sauce is for dude…

      • +2

Their sweet n sour that I tried the other day way seriously disappointing

      • +6

HJ give free sauce, (profanity) the nuggets, sauce packets for days.

    • +4

Yup, I wouldn't eat them if they gave me $2.95.

  • +19

    "Unknown expiry date."

They expired ages ago. That's why so cheap now :)

    • +5

Nothing organic in them so should keep forever.

  • +1

Would this be okay to feed to dogs?

    • +27

Depends on how much you like the dog….

  • +3

    Unknown expiry date

Of the deal, or the nuggets?! :P

  • I think 'Unknown expiry date' varies depending on how many nuggets one consumes

  • +5

Wonder if Maccas will price match

  • +2

Eugh. HJ's generally tastes pretty good. Their nuggets however do not.

  • +2

I'm the only one that likes them. HJ followed by KFC and Maccas <:

    • +2

The thing about hj nuggets is that they use smooth batter and not crumbed. Also a lot of their nuggets have just been left under the heat lamps for God knows when. So the usual result is warm nuggets with chewy skin. Like one should do with all fries and nuggets at these establishments is that you specifically request a new batch to be fried.
Your hj nuggets will then be hot and crispy. The thing to note is that hj is more crispy vs maccas which it's more crunchy dyes to crumbing and thicker batter.

      • +12

The nuggets are batter at hungry jacks…

      • Always crucnhy for me…

      • With this deal the nuggets won't left under the heat lamps for long. Had some yesterday and they are pretty good, but the honey mustard was bad…

  • +4

    For $3, it's pretty good.

    • -4

Not good enough to +1 the deal? :P

      • +1

Would've been better if it was applicable to my state.

  • -2

    Barf

I bought nuggets from Hungry Jacks once
    Once

  • I came to the comments to see if anyone else didn't like their overly greasy nuggets. My question has clearly been answered. Even in the Hunger Tamer box that includes it at no extra cost, I don't eat the nuggets. HJ seriously got to do something about their nugget recipe if so many people hate them.

  • Fish or chicken?

  • +1

    Thanks Bappy :)

    • Flying to QLD to use this deal?

      • Perhaps I'm already there?

        • +1

Let me guess…. taken the kids to Gold Coast?

  • +1

While the offer is really good, sadly the nuggets aren't…

As soon as you bite into it, all the oily grease and slush comes out. I actually start getting sore throat symptoms afterwards because of all that bad oil.

    • +1

I'm not sure why, but reading your description actually really makes me want some HJ nuggets

  • Too bad this isn't in WA, I'd be all over it. I like the HJ's nuggets. When the $3 nuggets and chips combo was around I was all over it. Better than the KFC deal as 24 nuggets always made me feel sick haha.

  • +1

I personally work at hungry jacks, and if i ever get nuggets, i tell to make fresh ones, we have customers that ask for the same all the time. Definitely worth the extra 2 mins and 30 seconds wait time.

  • I miss the old nuggets

  • Merged from 10 Nuggets $2.95 @ Hungry Jack's (VIC)

Like the QLD deal posted the other day.

some stores elsewhere may be doing this deal too. Stumbled upon it last night at the Hoddle Street store. Will probably update this if anyone finds other stores not in QLD also doing the deal.

    Also available at:
    Pacific Werribee (Werribee Plaza) VIC

Update should be available VIC wide (thanks blitzzbargain)

    • +5

      "Nuggets"

    • +3

These must be made of cardboard.

    • Good deal, but seriously, how much lower can nuggets go in price?

      • Depends if they have actual chicken breast or not, lol.
Pretty sure the no-name ones are 3 dollars a box at coles.

    • Poor Sydneysiders missing out again.

      • +6

Sydneysiders are allowed to purchase this deal…

        • Yes but the deal should be available in Sydney as well.

        • +1

Of course… They just need to buy the plane ticket first.

    • +1

      Nuggets of what?

      • +1

        most likely not gold…

    • +1

Available at Pacific Werribee (Werribee Plaza) VIC as well.

    • Anyone know if any other stores honor this deal like in Flemmington or round Melbourne CBD?

      • +4

I just went to the one near flemington racecourse to get a $1 frozen coke and asked if they knew about this deal, they had no clue, only told me they have $3 for 6 nuggets which is their usual

    • +3

Are they still those horrendously greasy nuggets, or did they change the recipe? I can't tell from the ad, they look different but it might just be because they're in an ad. They would have to pay me $2.95 to eat them if they're still those oily little bastards that I tried last year…

      • Somewhere in the middle of that picture and what you think

      • They're the super greasy generic nuggets. It's too bad they got rid of their "turd shaped" nuggets from a few years back (the dark coated ones that looked like fingers). They were tasty, and different from all other fast food outlet's nuggets.

        • +4

Yes those were amazing! Hungry Jack's nuggets are just super foul nowadays, I'd say the worst from all the fast food outlets, sadly.

        • they have some chicken finger things in there at the moment. im not sure what the ones a few years ago were though. but I agree the nuggets are super greasy.

    • Amazing, wonder how many percentage of chicken is in those nuggets.

      • +1

    • Also available in Qld

  • Merged from 10 Chicken Nuggets $2.95 Hungry Jacks (SA)

Just saw an ad on TV tonight for Hungry Jacks chicken nuggets 10 for $2.95 in SA. Must be starting here today. Even better value than the KFC deal and a more reasonable serving size.

    • Saw this ad as well in NSW

    • It has been 10 for $2.95 in Qld for a little while now, I guess it must be new for SA.

    • Ditto in Brissy

Edit: beaten by seconds and more info :/

  • So is nationwide now?

  • +2

I miss the old HJ nuggets, they were yummo. These things are gross.

    • -3

The old HJ nuggets were horrible. They were always dry and hard.

  • Not worth it.

  • Price match at Officeworks?

    No?

    :-\

  • So im guessing I have to call the store beforehand if I wanna get, lets say 100 pieces?

  • Nugget frenzy this week shall be.

  • Cheers OP and Mod

  • mmm nuggets and their spicy dipping sauce. Lunch is sorted.

  • The real cost of 10 nuggets:

    Energy 1693kj
    Protein 26g
    Fat 20.6g Saturated (4.3g)
    Carbs 28.6g

  • So this is better than KFC?

  • Bought a pack of 10 yesterday. Thought it was a good deal but they were smaller than the regular nuggets and also way too oily.

  • Valid at airport? Given that it's "Nationwide" I assume so (as opposed to "Valid at participating stores")

  • I got a free Cheeseburger after eating this value 10 piping hot nuggets and plenty of sauces from the HJ survey on the receipt. Not complaining.
