club catch is only 14days trial now?!

Been like that for weeks now.

on the other hand, i never understood why COTD can never arrange their deal page logically .. group similar things together.
Instead, I see 3 usb sticks, then clothes, then homewares, usb sticks again, then baby clothes, then laptop sleeves

      • +5

They want you to rummage through the Bargain bin so you buy things you weren't originally looking for.

        • +1

They should put it next to the checkout like in a physical store. I probably do need a 3 pack of USBs and a power board.

    • +7

What a collection of fine crap.

Unfortuneatley 40% of a piece of crap is still a piece of crap.

      • +1

        Unfortuneatley

        Lol…

        • Yes but you have to consider it was pointless comment

nice ordered a pair of chuck taylors for $22 !

    • +1

Were they size 7 or 13?

      • 9.5 actually

  • +1

Very cheap price for the Sunbeam LC8000. Hard to find a review but purchased anyway hope it lasts for many years!!

    • +1

Damn it looks okay. Was trying to find a deal on a food processor yesterday ended up getting the Phillips target $99 one on the eBay 15%. Had too many sunbeam and breville fails. I would have went for this though.

Good news the minimum $50 shipping applies off the value of the items before the 60% discount is applied, I had about $30 of items in my cart and the postage discount was applied, great deal I bought 2 pairs of champion fleece pants, 10 go travel quattro locks and an iphone case for $20.67 as I had $10 of store credit too. How long does shipping take these days with catch of the day?

    • I ordered on Monday and still waiting for a dispatch email. I signed up to club catch aswell which says I get priority shipping so surprised it hasn't shipped with in 48 hours

      • +1

It said 1-3 business days for club catch, so it's probably 5-10 business days if you aren't in club catch?

    • +1

Nice bought several items worth $20 odd with free delivery. Trying to get my clubcatch worth

  • I've promised myself I'll never pay for 'club catch' but it's getting more and more tempting…

    • Can't you just make a new account and get the trial again?

      • probably, does anyone know if that works with the same credit card details? otherwise, what's stopping you from referring yourself and making a new account every time and getting $10 credit?

        • +1

Unfortunately it knows when you have used the same card on another account :(

        • @TheVoucherKing:

What if you get a prepaid debit card and just use that for the new account

        • @strikerzebra: one card, one trial. system remember the number. unless your debit cards has different numbers?

        • @strikerzebra:

Or you could have more than one bank account with another Visa/Mastercard debit card.

        • @erwinsie:

I mean what if you buy a prepaid visa for $4 at woolworths and then use that for the clubcatch trial, it will be a new number as it's a different card

        • @hollykryten:

I guess that is one of the pros of having many credit cards..

        • +1

@strikerzebra: good idea but sorry i never tried

        • +1

          @strikerzebra:

That would work. I think the cheapest are those ones at Woolworths for $3.95 + $20 minimum load

        • @TheVoucherKing:

yep that is what i came across too

        • +1

          @TheVoucherKing:

Yeah those ones from Woolworths and they can be bought also from Big W are the Woolworths Money Mastercard prepaid card which should work.

          https://www.woolworthsmoney.com.au/prepaid-cards/single-load…

But it seems the Woolworths prepaid Mastercard (ones with an expiry date of July 2014 and beyond) have a $4.95 purchase fee instead of the previous $3.95 on the older cards. So it's $4.95 + $20 minimum spend.

        • @hollykryten:

          They are the ones!

Its also worth mentioning that if you do decide to use on you cannot get a refund on anything you buy with it because it is "Single Load"

    • I've promised myself I'll never pay for 'club catch' but it's getting more and more tempting

I was just thinking the same thing. Awesome price on the Black and Decker gear.

      • yeah I got the 18v matrix kit a while ago, want another set just for the spare body and batteries

        • I have the matrix as well and have been nothing but impressed with it. I was thinking the same as you but ended up going with the $52 drill rather than a whole other kit. I don't get the body but I do get the batteries and I can use the drill so I don't have to use the matrix body so much

  • These Mitchell & Ness caps seem like a very good buy at $7.99 each.

I recently bought the Infrared OKC cap when it was $19.99 (damn now it's $7.99) and it just arrived today.

    • Yeah bought the Lakers Cap, I am not even a Laker fan but I like the Yellow and Purple…

      • Yeah it's still cheap for a legit Mitchell & Ness cap. I've bought three Mitchell & Ness caps from COTD and they all have been the real deal.

      • And the Lakers cap is now sold out. :)

  • keep the idea coming guys i have the club trial for another 10 days

  • +14

Thanks for this. I bought a bunch of crap I don't need.

  • Is there anyone who wears size 3 shoes?

    • Depending on what kind of sizing you're talking about, yes..

  • +5

Thanks OP, just bought a pair of https://www.catchoftheday.com.au/event/60-off-clearance-4915…

I hold you responsible if I get crushed by the stampede of hot girls.

    • Oh mumma…..ladies form an orderly queue!

Me thinks someone is going to have 'The Kavorka' going on for him! ;-)

  • +1

No offence OP, but COTD, no thanks.

    • couple of good things here and there, for the most part nothing desirable

    • +3

I have nothing but great experience with COTD. Their customer service is much better now. Crashoftheday is also history now

  • +3

    A tiny $41.59 for a dual-battery 18V Li-Ion Drill/Driver delivered… yay! Cheers OP!

  • -1

  • I have a question: can I use someone else's referral link, buy something cheap, then use the $10 credit towards the rest of the items I want? :o

Edit: The postage ruins my idea. :<

    • +1

COTD only check against user first name , last name and address and if they find an existing record then there will be no store credit.

The best way to take 10$ store credit along with 14day club catch is to refer some dummy email address or your alternate email address and then register yourself with the same dummy email address using the referral link though while placing any order please make sure you provide different first name and last name (any family member who stays with you) however you can use the same debit card as their is no check on debit card details.

For Club catch trial, you can also use the same debit card as club catch is validated against your account not against your debit card and for Visa Checkout you can also use the same email address and password which you are using in your previous account.

Note: Make sure the First name and last name is different if your postal address is same.

      • Won't the item be shipped to a random name that doesn't live at your address then, what if they leave a card to pick up the item at the post office, how are you going to collect it because your ID doesn't match the name?

  • Speaking of COTD, does anyone have any experience with the T-Fal Excite Non-Stick Cookware 2-Piece Set? Looks like a good price to me but not sure of quality.

    • never seen a non-stick that did not wear out in few years. prefer my food without teflon. A pro frypan like this will go a long way and is great to cook with

  • Black & Decker Workmate Workbench is an absolute steal at $32 after Visa checkout. https://www.catchoftheday.com.au/event/60-off-clearance-4915…

  • got a pair of nike air max 90's and some hugo boss tees

  • I got a few of the Homedics pillows.. good price and comfy as..

  • I have to say that Catchoftheday is one of the best online shops these days. Makes me laugh that they have https://www.catchoftheday.com.au/event/60-off-clearance-4915… - which matches a King Pillow size version I got a while back.

A lot of the appeal is imported, niche items. Sure, there is loads of junk. But the $50 free shipping makes ordering whenever something is good very convenient.

  • Thanks OP, bought some items but missed out on the black & decker gear.

  • I found the following items to all be good buying:
