  • 2gb of ram wont get u far

I don't understand the 2gb hate. For mum&dad web browsing and using word to write the odd letter its perfectly usable.

I even play war3 on my tablet with 2gb of ram!

On Android or iPad, sure. On a windows tablet, no way.

It's especially true for mum's and dad's that 2GB won't get them far, as it's this group of users who are usually clueless of how to optimize their laptops to run efficiently with 2GB RAM.

Tablets do not work in the same way as laptops so its not really a true comparison.

I agree with Garagesale, don't bother with 2GB laptops period, pay a bit extra and get a bare minimum of 4GB

        • Include my wife in that mix. I watch her struggle with the 2gb in her laptop. If she used it more often I'd throw more RAM in it.

      • Yeah I use a 2GB HP Laptop which works fine

    • The C40 Specs is just not worth it. It isn't just the 2GB of RAM, the CPU is crap as well. There have been better options around for not much more or the same sort of price.

Like the Quad Core Acer for $214. N2940 version, got 2 of them, needed some upgrades, they're okay, even that CPU is a weak link though. They were amazing bang for buck, mine are both running SSD's etc, but I wouldn't go any lower than the quad core version personally.
