      If you don't need the app connectivity, Bunnings has this one, which I have, for under $19 which is otherwise similar. The temperature is displayed on the outdoor sensor which is handy

      Guess it depends on what features you want, if you just want mainly temps go for the cheap one but I think the others are more worth it

    These are really useful if you have a reverse cycle air con. You can tell when it's best to turn it on.

        On a hot day, if you're cooling, then in the afternoon it gets cooler outside, it can tell you you're better off turning the the AC off and opening windows.

        Or if you're heating and as the day heats up outside it may be better to open the windows for heat rather than use the AC (or to change the air in the house).

        Or it may be a humid day, but not so hot, so you might be best to run the AC in dehumidify mode rather than cool.

        Also just to know what temp it is outside to know what kinda clothes to wear.

      I placed a click and collect order for this yesterday. There was only one store in Melbourne showing stock and it's a good 30 minutes from home, but worth it for the price.

    has just about everything my weather app has, I do like the inside temperature option, on our ducted gas heating thermostat it has the inside temp but I'm not sure how accurate it is.

    I picked one up as well. This will be my third Oregon Weather Station. They are really good, but I have found that they break pretty easily. The LCD screens on my other weather stations have all partly died. So whilst it still works, some of the numbers no longer light up properly.

      I've had an indoor outdoor wireless Oregon for over 5 years. In daily use & as good as new. Bought at DS in sale for $10 :)

      Updating to the ThermoPlus with humidity sensors & data logging.

        i wouldn't say its better they have the same features expect the no Bluetooth on mine. i already drilled the sensor into the wall just now. i put it in the shade about 2 meters above ground!

      There was 1 ThermoPlus on the shelf at my local DS at the end of the weekend sale. It was reduced, but nothing like this. So I don't think staff would be hoarding these. No staff seemed interested. Its not a big seller, older models, so stock is usually limited in most stores.

      Even local Masters has low stock for the cheapest 2 & no stock for the dearer one. So by your theory, DS staff must be hoarding at Masters now ;-)

    Got a weather plus in-store for $20. They can't apply the coupon in-store, and could not buy online and pick up because it said "no stock" (while I had the unit in my hand…)

    Bought a couple of the Weather@Home's - one for me, one for a gift.
    The BT connectivity doesn't work from either my Galaxy S5 or Galaxy Tab 4. The reviews of the app (called Weather@Home) are very negative - a lot of people are having this issue as well, and they're also saying that Oregon Scientific's support is useless, limited to "please reinstall the app"
    It does function okay without the app though, so might still be worth getting if not having app connectivity isn't a deal-breaker for you.
    No idea how well the unit works with an iOS device though.

    Well, today it seems to be working. My S5 is connected fine now. Nothing has changed since last night when I initially tried.
