Telstra Data Share Sim + Tablet Plans (Entire List)

200

So for those of you who don't know about the Telstra data share + Tablet plan, Telstra are offering existing mobile customers tablets and other mobile data devices for a discounted monthly price over a 24 month period. This price depends on the plan that you choose and obviously which device

I recently took advantage of this and got an Xperia Z4 tablet for $33p/m which is: $15 data share sim (includes 2.5GB monthly data) + $18p/m for the tablet.

Galaxy Tab S2: $0 + $35 data share sim
Ipad Pro 128GB: $48p/m + $15 data share sim
Ipad Air 2 128GB: $27p/m + $15 data share sim

A good way to get your hands on a tablet without the upfront cost, for most of these devices you will basically only be paying for the data.

    Galaxy Tab 3 @ $480.- really is a bargain!

      Isn't it $240? $5 + $5 data share sim.

      • Yeah still not tempted for a 2-3 year old model.

Not sure if this is a deal as 24 months contract is something i would avoid. Usually you fork out a lot more for 24 months of contract on any devices.

  • Is it the same as this?

    If so, interesting point:

In order to purchase a Data Share SIM and device, you must have been a Telstra customer for more than 6 months. Available only to Go Mobile, Mobile Accelerate or Everyday Connect customers.

  • Can anyone comment on voice call costs through the tablet? Thanks

    • I had a chat online with telstra day before yesterday regarding that.
Voice call costs 99cents per minute and it is explainedin critical info or whatever document on the website

        Thanks Kim

        • Wouldn't you use a cheap VOIP provider?

        • @mskeggs:

Never done this but def something I should look into. Thanks for the reminder.

        • @reu:
I have used the IOS app from mynetfone (who I use for my landline at home) when overseas with a data sim but no voice minutes and it was pretty good. Their app is old and ugly - I am sure there are better options. They have a zero line rental and 10c local/national call rate. 10c pm top mobiles I think, so pretty cost effective for occasional use.

  • ok this seems a pretty good plan for the ipad air 2, so correct me if I am wrong so 27 + 15 =42 then 42*24 months =1008 and you receive 2.5gb per month?

  • Are these deals similar?

Whats the difference between the samsung tablets?

    • +2

That post lists 3 devices, mine lists 36. Not a competition, just thought I would give people some more options and didn't want to bury this post in a few week old deal.

      • Is the samsung tab in your deal better hence the higher price of the tablet?

  • Thanks Phoenixsun6 is there a link to the deal, as i couldnt find it on the Telstra website

    • There is no link to the deal but I was in store at the one opposite the Apple store (Syd CBD) and asked someone if they could print me a copy, as I knew there was one.

I have also read about people getting the deal via live chat.

It's actually a really good deal for the ipad pro 128gb 4g - $63/month * 24 = $1512. If you buy it from Apple, the price is $1699.

  • how to get this offer from Telstra? just pop up any store and show this page?

    • I placed an order over the Live Chat (Customer Care) this morning.

Took the guy close to an hr to figure out what this offer is referring to as his initial offer was $20 more monthly.

Anyway, all sorted in the end but can be time consuming when doing it over Live Chat.

  • Thanks for that. It is annoying hard to get this info.

Would you have the list for the $40 team share sim

  • Awesome, just got 2 Z4's on the $33 p/m =)

  • does anyone know what the cheapest plan is that you can get this offer, my mobile is not eligible as its on the family and friends plan…

  • Went into a Telstra store this morning thinking about getting an iPad - prices seem to have gone up since 26 December.
