    http://www.ebay.com.au/rpp/collect15?_trkparms=clkid%3D19076…

    • Aargh forgot that SCA was on the 15% off list. Thanks, will update.

  • There is also Amex spend 30 and get 10 credit.

    • I believe that deal has expired and also that is when you are buying directly from SCA and not via Ebay?

      • The registration expired but the deal is until 18 Dec.It's more just a reminder for ppl registered for the deal to get 33% off directly with SCA compare to ebay.

    • Offers term: Purchases made through online aggregators such as PayPal or other retailers are excluded.

  • are there any significant differences between these three?
NXT Generation Wash 1.9 Litres (104054)
Gold Class Wash 1.9 Litres (221043)
Soft Wash Gel 1.83 Litres (373419)

There's some info from this comment.

      • And one is wash and wax together

    • I can only comment on Gold Class.

      • Low suds when using the specified amount. Not a big bubble bath like other brands I've tried.
      • Washes off easily with no watermarks for me even when not washed off as quickly as it should
      • Smells good and cleans well. Chamois is clean after drying.

from memory, this stuff smells like bubble gum :)

    • +1

The soft wash one in particular smells like bubble gum. :)

One way to waste valuable weekend time - washing cars

    • Kids will love to help.

    • +1

Yeah, can save time by not showering too

These items are not available. They may have been purchased already, or the listings have expired.

WTF? I get that as an error… Anyone else??
    Just after completing/confirming PayPal payment..

  • +3

I'm trying to buy 2 ultimate wash and wax but I'm getting an error message when checking out:

These items are not available. They may have been purchased already, or the listings have expired.

  • Do it give you a shinning look? or Should I get the wash and wax? I have used mother's. Is this a better brand?

    • +2

I've used Meguiars for many years on my cars, and also on Mum's little red Echo. It's 11 years old and still looks shiny and new. Great product.

      • Which one do you use? wash or wash and wax?

        • Just the NXT wash.

        • @flumpf:

          Do you apply wax afterwards?

        • +2

@jiaqi518: Separate Maguiars wax about once a year. That way it doesn't get all over the windows and the rubber (assuming you're careful… ;))

  • Getting an error, sold out?

  • If you're getting that error -> Are you selecting Pickup? I did on the first instance, but changed to a different store and it worked. Just bought 2 bottles..

  • Is click and collect not available at all stores? There's one about 5mins from my house, but it's not coming up as a pick up location

Which one of them, or can any one of them, remove stickers glued to a car?

    • +1

Which one of them, or can any one of them, remove stickers glued on a car?

What sort of question is this? These are car washes not paint strippers!

      • Makes me feel stupid as the first time car owner, but at least your answer is constructive, since you mentioned what to search for. I found that there do exist a thing called "paint stripper".

        • +4

I found that there do exist a thing called "paint stripper".

Sorry but the paint stripper reference was not in that context and will actually remove the paint as well. There are products they will remove stickers, tar and bugs from the paint but they strip any wax from the car as well so the car will need to have protection reapplied. I would do some research and learn about looking after your car before purchasing anything.

        • Oh, so "paint" refers to the colour of the car it self instead of what is "painted" on top of it. Okay. Anyway, English and Car are both my bane and now they mix together. I needed neither in the old country:)

        • +1

@enveloped: use eucalyptus oil or orange oil for most stickers. I use eucalyptus for debadging my car and rego stickers.

What on earth is wrong with ebay?

I've tried six stores with quantities of 1 to 6 and all give the error "These items are not available. They may have been purchased already, or the listings have expired."

Talk about a waste of time, ebay is constantly having technical problems that cause you to waste hours on simple purchases.

    • +1

had the same issue. Try ordering it through the mobile site, they did limit it to qty 1 though

      • This didn't work for me…

        • Didn't work for me either, the mobile app is pathetic and once I made it through to checkout it said to purchase using a computer or browser! I still am amazed at how incompetent eBay are.

        • @Maverick-au: I got it to work. I didn't use the app, just went through the mobile web browser. I cleared out my web browser's cache and cookies then only ordered 1.

  • Super cheap not having stock is not eBay fault.

    • yup, I've had similar issues with SCA's ebay shop in the past and this is just speculation but the ebay listing does not link to all stores to reallocate stock depending on where you want it to be picked up from. unless you've correctly chosen a particular shop which has stock, you'll get these stupid messages…what's worse is they're right at the end of the purchase process so you got to go through all the payment stuff before being told its not available.

    • It is when they are supposed to update stock and provide meaningful error messages instead of the rubbish they provide now.

  • Just ordered 4. Chose delivery. Couldn't get it with Click n Collect. Still cheaper than store pickup when ordering 4 or more.

    • Same, nothing close to my house and the one that is remotely close only allow 1.
      Bought 4 delivered also.

  • I didn't know which was better, Gold Class or NXT. I like purple so I chose NXT.

    Don't forget 3.3% cashback with Cashrewards.com.au

  • +1

Bought 1 NXT and 1 Bowdens clay bar twin pack for under $30 click and collect after cash back with cashrewards. Cheers OP :)

  • nxt smells great!

  • Picked up an NXT. Thanks!!!

  • +3

Giving the Autoglym Shampoo and Conditioner 2.5L a go, $16.44 with cashrewards.

    • Me to. I've been using the NXT for a while now and it's my go to wash of choice however it's been a while since I've used the Autoglym products so this is a perfect way to give it a go and test it out against the NXT. We could have had it slightly cheaper a few days ago but this is still a bargain!

      • IMO Eagle One wax as u wash is the best wash i have ever used. Love the stuff

    • I bought this too, outraegeously cheap given the 2.5L bottle. Looking forward to trying it this weekend!

    • Thanks.

      Link added to post.

    • HOw does it work out to $16.44? Nm, missed the code.

  • Can anyone recommend a leather care product from sca?

Also I have the gold but doesn't seem to give a high gloss finish on metallic paint. Would the wash and wax give a better finish?

    • Anything from Bowdens own or Autoglym you cant go wrong

  • Tried a couple of stores near my house but got the error so ended up getting the Soft Wash Gel instead. Not sure why they list those stores as available for pickup if they don't have it in stock. Also bought a Karcher high pressure washer, but that's from a different store as well!

  • +1

Good price for the Gold Class and a great quality product!

    Nice find OP :)

  • Awesome deal!!

  • Bought! Now just need to find someone who'll wash the car for me..

  • Appears to be sold out when trying to pay via paypal :(….hopefully will be updated soon.

Edit: Tried a different store and it went through. Thanks OP :)

  • Bah, missed this deal today :( None in the sydney metro region left for click and collect

    • deal is still on from what I can see?

Edit: I see! out of stock in your area, bugger! maybe more will be in stock tomorrow?

      • I shall attempt tmr again kind sir - fingers X'd

      • Unfortunately no Gold wash for Bondi Junction store, but i got the ultimate and wash n wax instead. Nice xmas present for the old man who's very fastidious/obessed with his new car since retiring

        • many washes await ! :)

        • I actually find washing the car on a sunny weekend morning quite therapeutic. Plus if give it a polish after the wash you work up a sweat and thats enough calories burned to enjoy a nice meal later in the day.

    • Plenty on central coast NSW, about 40 mins north of Hornsby

      • haha yeah i saw. that and Menai… not syd metro and not worth my time/effort/tolls/petrol coming over from the east (not trying to sound like a snob or anything)

        • well we have nice beaches and lots of bogans

        • @womble: :) i could see myself retiring up on the coast. mind you the cost of living seems more expensive than sydney due to less competition. I stayed in Newcastle for work recently and the local average cafe charged me almost $15 for a bacon&egg roll and a coffee. In the city i could get that for $7 easy (even $5 from a dodgy cafe/corner store)

        • that and Menai… not syd metro

Menai is considered a suburb in the sydney metropolitan region. I just ordered one from the Narellan store, another syd metro.

        • @lookalive: it was tongue in cheek. I know parramatta is technically the centre of sydney, but Menai is almost in another state hence my comment about not worth my time/effort/tolls/petrol to go out there.

  • Wat would you guys recommend if my car has Opticoat?

    • For a car that's been coated, I'd recommend using Carpro Reset.

  • The nearest store to my house is about 3km away, but the nearest store that has stock available is 20km away, oh well, my car has great fuel economy (6.1L/100 - city) so I don't care.

  • I had like $6.00 credit on my SCA club card so I just went in to my local store and some NXT car wash along with 2 buckets for $1.00. Yesterday, my store showed no stock for Click and Collect and just now when I check, it's got stock.

  • No more UWW at Victoria Park, WA. A few bottles of GC left.

    • +1

Malaga looked to have stock of all when I was picking up my Autoglym C&C

  • Deal appears to have expired

    • I can still add the NXT carwash to my eBay cart, select pick up and apply the COLLECT15 code.

      • am in Sydney and that is precisely what I tried to do at 7 different shops :[(

        • +1

Hmm I am able to select Auburn and several other stores.

          • 233-239 Parramatta Road, —-, Auburn, NSW 2144 Ships to store
            • Est. ready for pickup: Tomorrow, Sat, Dec 19
        • @moocher:

I am must be plain unlucky

        • @Islund: Maybe it's out of stock in your area :(

  • Saw the autobarn deal before but it's too far for me, glad I've waited

  • +2

I dropped by SuperCheap in Auburn and North Parramatta on Saturday and they had quite a few bottles of the Meguair's car washes (NXT, Gold, Soft Wash Gel and the yellow one I can't remember the name of). You miss out on the extra 15% off, but it's still damn cheap without it!
