Boost Juice - $1 off All Orders throughout January Via App

104

I saw something on my phone as I have the boost juice app already(recently updated). You get $1 off boost juice by ordering drink through the app. I haven't tried it yet but it's also mentioned on their Facebook page. Only for Jan 2016.

You might need to update your boost juice app. If you don't have it download it and when you go by boost next time, ask for a reward card and register online then use app.

        $1 off?

That's like, buy a cup of sugar get 3 tablespoons of juice free.

        Sounds about right.

$1 off is still too expensive for their glorified magical smoothies.

Not really a deal after this 100 cent discount.

    Still way Overpriced

    What does "overpriced" mean?

Are Boost making abnormally high returns on their investment, given the costs of raw materials, staff, rent and the level of risk they took on?

If the answer is "Heck yes, Boost are making out like bandits", then great, there's a market opportunity to set up a competitor, price it below Boost, and still make an above-average return.

If the answer is "Um, no, their prices just reflect the cost of doing business", then maybe they're not overpriced?

    • Good goyim!

Hmm, many negs but no actual answer - I am genuinely interested in knowing why somebody would say "overpriced" without reference to the cost of business, and expected rates of return etc.

I actually simply don't know whether Boost is overpriced or not, because I can't find these figures, so wondering on what basis others are so sure it's overpriced.

    • Fair point. What bothers me is the fools that enable boost juice to exist. It's sugar laden, and EXTREMELY unhealthy.

Boost juice has as much sugar as fanta. Which has more than coke. Think of how much boost juice you're buying.. now, if you wouldn't consume just as much coke on the basis of being bad for your health.. the jokes on you

If you don't give a damn about being healthy and drink it because you like it, fair enough

      • Indeed you are correct; it is super high calorie so I don't drink them more than about four times a year since I found that out (though the spinach and mint one is reasonable, calorie wise, if not quite so pleasing taste-wise).

But a Baskin-Robbins opened about 50 m from my house, and some of their special sundaes are about 3500 kl which is almost half the average daily adult intake (8700). Makes Boost's 1800 kl mango magic seem practically like a salad.
