  • Haha wow.. could you just explain the 12 months deal a bit more for me please?

    • -1

use the coupon to get it for $41.95 with free shipping included.
and then you can claim $16 back from Microsoft
      http://www.xbox.com/en-AU/pm/cashback/
      so ends up being $25.95

      • +1

are you sure fishpond products are eligible for the cashback? (because i know gamecard isn't)

  • Be quick with Fishpond people, you know how they are for removing deals quickly

    • in that case, i just bought it. hope the cash back works. if not, $41 for 12 months is still a pretty good deal.

  • I tried the REWARDFISH coupon on 12 Months Xbox Live & Halo 3 ODST but neither worked… and I just created a new account.

    • it doesnt work with paypal you have to use a credit card or bank deposit

  • Is fishpond a eligible vendor for the Microsoft Cashback? Also for example the cover of Halo 3 ODST is a Australian Retail release cover does that mean it wont be a import and its a local release?

  • -1

I don't think Fishpond will give you the cashback.

I THINK these are the only retailers: http://www.xbox.com/en-AU/hardware/wheretobuy/

Anyway, if you couldn't be bothered waiting for the card to arrive, just get 12 months LIVE from gamecard.com.au for $49.80 AND you get the code straight away! :D

$41.95 is a good price though.

    • according to this bargain, fishpond qualifies: http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/22737

      • Hmm, confirmed by the Fishpond gaming manager only…it'd be good if someone could confirm by receiving the cashback but by the time the cashback money will arrive, the deal from Microsoft and Fishpond will be over.

Nevertheless, $41.95 is the best price around so worth a shot anyway. Thanks for the link man.

        • gamecard said they're not eligible because they're not selling the full retail packs, just the code. so fishpond should be OK if this is the principle.

  • +1

I'm gunna get some more Live anyway.. great price either way!

  • Does Fishpond normally show your shipping costs in your invoice? I ordered ODST through the site using discount code, the shipping cost showed up as ~$6. However when I was emailed the invoice, there's no mention of shipping it and the total doesn't include it. However, there is a strange line stating "<: Free!"….

    eg. http://img718.imageshack.us/img718/4383/order.png

I paid by credit card so it'll take a bit to see how much I was charged but either way, great deal!

    • That's what mine did.. but didn't have the “<:" bit.

    • looks like it's free shipping, then.

    • Maybe they feel bad charging you $6 to ship what would probably only cost them $1 or something :-) Either way, can't complain!

  • You do realise rewardfish finishes tonight, right?

Funny. I posted the rewardfish deal before, and the MS cashback deal exists too… then this gets posted as a new "deal"…

    shrug

If nothing else, Fishpond's pricing strategy is getting them loads of coverage on OzBargain. Almost every price fluctuation results in a new deal being posted.

    • anjizzle put 1 and 1 together for us commoners.

    Sweet deal!
    I just got a new controller, 12month Live + 3000 points.

Far out, i just bought 3000MSP yesterday -_-, and now they offer a discount.

  • Unfortunately, the voucher has been expired. However, there are a lot of discount stuffs on the fishpond.

    Gift Voucher/Discount
    This coupon has expired REWARDFISH

  • Confirmed that the coupon has expired now.

  • Coupon still worked for me :) Just bought 2x 3000 points for $53.99
    Cheers OP

You can now use the coupon.

    FISHMARCH It is the same.

    From:
    http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/23137

To buy more than 1, just sign up for multiple accounts. I purchased a stack of points by signing up for a new account and using the same credit card.

    • Did you have to pay for shipping every time? It says $6 shipping for orders under $49

  • Did they increase the price of the MS Points? I dont see how you can them for $21.99…

    • yeah the 3k points have gone back up but surprisingly the 1500 points are now back down to 19.99

  • -1

Anyone confirmed with MS that fishpond are an eligible retailer for the cashback? i still ordered a 12 month but it would be good to know if i can get the cashback because then maybe some of my mates will get it too.

    • -1

read other comments before you post.

      • -1

and no one mentioned anything about microsoft's position. The only thing mentioned is from fishpond themselves and thats hardly conclusive…

  • Dammit no coupons are working for me.. I've tried NEWFISHP REWARDFISH FISHMARCH and CUEFISH :(

Don't think it'll be worth it for around 51.95

    • use NEWFISHP, 10 dollars off for new customers

    • Are you paying with Bank deposit or Credit card?
If not, I don't think the coupons work. For example, with PayPal, the coupon will not even register.
It's annoying, but that's just how it is.

      • ot registers u just have to confirm the order before the price is dropped

  • i just signed up got odst for $27, used fishmarch as rewardfish and newfishp didnt work for me.
sent an email to another account and then got xbl 12 months for $60. this will be $44 after 20% of cashback.
thanks and also you can subscribe to their email newsletter for a further $1 to your account credit.

  • must spend over $40 in one transaction to get $10 off with code I think

    • got it the 3k cards with the coupon before the price went back up without a problem
      used paypal too

  • XBox Live deal has expired now, back to $69.99 on website.

  • Has anyone else noticed that they charge more on your credit card than what is stated on your invoice? Dodgey basterds.

    • That sucks… I'd complain. I was charged correctly.

    • +1

did you use Amex? cause they are dodgy and charge Amex using NZ dollars.

  • just got an email now (2 weeks after my purchase and payment!) saying that they are out of stock and my order has been cancelled.

    EXTREMELY disapointed! :(

    • same thing happened to me, sigh!

      • Same! Probably just because they dont want to fulfill the orders…

  • I never got that email.
Mine hasn't been shipped but according to a rep they just came back in stock.
    I got a $5 credit for complaining.

  • these guys are so dodgy. Can we ban their site from Ozbargains. Same happened with cancelled order, yet their product page says delivery 6 to 12 days at the higher price

  • Ok this is seriously crap.
Never buying from these jokers again.

  • I'm going to report them to DFT. Anyone else? If we don't they will continue these illegal practices
