Unblock USA Netflix with uFlix - $16 for 12 Months OzBargain Special - Australia Day Special

EDIT: ENDS MIDNIGHT TONIGHT - 29/01/2016.

Hi everyone,

Over the last few days we have been hearing news that a lot of people still can't access USA Netflix. The OzBargain community has always been good to us, and we enjoy conversing with the community. For that reason we are running a special for you guys who may still be blocked. Even if you are already a member you can take advantage of this deal.

We are going to run a special starting today and ending Friday, 29th Jan. The deal is $16 AUD for 12 months of our service. All you need to do is use the coupon code "unblockme" when checking out and the deal will be applied to your account.

As usual, we will be here throughout the day to answer any questions you may have, or just general chat about what has been going on recently.

Thanks!

  • Thanks Rep. Subscribed and got my Panasonic TV and Minix working with Netflix USA again.
My wife and I love to watch the Korean series from US. :)
I have SmartDNS with PureVPN. Have raised a ticket with them that their SmartDNS is not working.
And have been going back and forth to explain why it is not working. :( Either they don't know or just stalling for time.
For $16, I rather be with uflix and save all this headache.

    • Hi,

Great to hear you're enjoying your shows again :)

      Thanks.

  • Hi do I need to have a US Netflix account or is it ok to have an Australian one? Thanks!

    • Hi,

      An Australian account is fine.

      Thanks.

  • website down?

    • Yes,

Sorry about that. It is now up and running again.

      Thanks.

      • All works now. Signed up and works perfect on my FetchTV.

  • Hi dokyung,
Australian Account will work ok…. that is what I have.

  • @csg001,
Seems to be down for me also. I was trying to pay the $16.

    • +1

      Same here :-(

Edit: Web site seems to be up now for me shortly after I unconfigured Getflix DNS servers.
Edit: And, now it's down again [argh].

    • Hi,

Sorry about that. The website is back online.

      Thanks.

  • Up again!!!!!! haha

    • Sorry :( We had a minor issue with it. It is now up and running again.

      Thanks.

  • Now the code will not work for the $16 as the site did not come back online until after midnight.
I thought the discount did not end until midnight on the 29-Jan-16.

Edit:Code worked was hiccup on the site. :)

    • Sorry about that.

      Thanks.

Cheers quarrymaster….I gave you + vote for your post.

  • Apologies if asked already and excuse my ignorance but can this be used with Apple TV?

    • Hi,

Yes :) You can use it with the Apple TV :)

      Thanks.

  • I've just paid up for a year after a couple of days trial. Just occurred to me , should I have been in range of my router at home before I did this? If this is a daft question forgive me. I know not a lot about these things.

    • Hi,

Apologies, but I am not sure I understand what you mean?

Basically we work off of your IP address. Your IP will change from time to time, and all that is required on your behalf is to login to uFlix (when the service stops working). This will update your public IP and the service will run again.

      Thanks.

      • Does this mean when I'm interstate for holidays, I can also do this? Assuming only one active IP address at a time of course.

          Hi,

Yes. As long as you can modify the DNS of the network, it will authorise that networks IP address when you access uflix.com.au from that network.

          Thanks.

  • Ok so when I get home I just log back in and I'm good to go.
    Thanks for the reply.

    • Yup, that's it. Just log into uFlix and it will authorise your homes network IP address (which will change from time to time). Then just restart your viewing device and you are good to go.

      Thanks.

      • Does the hula only last 2 weeks?

        • The hula?

        • @uFlix: yes did I read that right?

        • @furiousgeorge:

I'm really sorry, I am not sure what a hula is?

          Thanks.

        • @uFlix: oops Hulu

        • @furiousgeorge:

Oh. Sorry about that, I should have clicked. I am not sure how long hulu lasts for (it is a paid service). But you will need a USA friendly credit card (they have blocked Australian cards). The easiest way to do this is to buy an international pre-paid credit card from the post office.

          Thanks.

        • @uFlix:
Ok cheers mate. One more dumb question.
How do I access the Hulu and bbc bonus stuff that your site talks about?

        • @furiousgeorge:

Hi, our service unblocks them. Depending on the device it is different. Computers you can just go to their website. For Apple TV, etc you will need to set your region to USA (hulu) or UK (BBC) in the device itself to gain access to their apps.

          Thanks.

        • @uFlix: good man. Thanks for answering a noob and in great time.
          Glad I joined up.

          @furiousgeorge:

          You're welcome :)

None of what you asked was silly. All legitimate questions.

          Thanks.

Thanks for the email reminder, started the trial last night and just subscribed, works a treat.

      You're very welcome :)

      Thanks.

  • Hopefully not going to spoil it for people, but code is still working this morning, despite being marked "expired".

Get in quick though if you want it, the Store Rep is pretty responsive!

  • And a few days later it seems that Netflix is continuing it's attack (?) on DNS services such as this one, and it's fallen over and not working.
Lets hope these guys can bypass the changes Netflix have made. It seems like it wasn't a once off affair, and Netflix will continually try to stop the DNS services from working.

    • I found mine not working as well. It was set to US. But after changing it to UK, its working now.

  • Does anyone experience slow connection when accessing US/UK netflix?

    • Didn't notice any change in speed. Seems to be good.

  • So after purchasing this service during this offer, uflix is now telling me that my subscription has ended and that I have to repay to continue to use the service!!

Is anyone else experiencing a similar problem with this deal?

    • Just checked mine. It expires in 2017. All good.

      • Reps emailed me and re instated it. Plus an extra month for the trouble. All is good.

  • Hi,

I have tried Un-blocker on my LG Smart TV to access US Netflix. This worked for a while until I received a notice that I was using a geo blocker.

I have tried to setup my LG again, however, I cannot get past the DNS page as it completely disconnects my wireless and I have to reset.

My question is, does uflix work with the LG smart tv.

    Cheers.

    Doug
