    $3 McChicken is good

    • +3

If you dont like too much chicken in your chicken

    • +3

That and a $1 frozen coke/fanta etc, $4 to tide you over till you can get a decent meal is not bad lol, I've done it a few times when I've been out and about

    • I prefer getting 2 x Mc chicken patty (2x $1.60) over 1 Mc chicken burger. Ask for a pair of cutlery to make you look a bit civilised when eating the patty.

  • What attached image?

  • +2

    It's not a deal if I can't see it.

  • Is this specific to participating stores? I can see that the title says "WA SJB mymacca's deals".

  • Sorry guys, link is now in the body.

    • +4

How'd you manage to swallow that?

  • +6

Valid until 24/03/16 at participating Queensland and Northern Territory McDonald's® Restaurants.

    • -3

that queensland and nt only thing pretty much kills the deal

      • +15

Not if your in QLD or NT

        • +1

          @Bearosaurus:

Move here then, we have hot and spicy kfc all year around too!

          Where else but Queensland ;)

    • Is this a use for the platinum credit card uses? Ask the concierge to ring around to find out which of your nearest McDonalds is a participating store. It will save us time!

I made my own burger, had all my favourite ingredients on it, tasted absolutely terrible lol.

    • Ahhh. That sums up maccas perfectly….i hope this comment wins for the month, pure gold!

It should be a quote on a healthy living flyer or something similar

      • -1

And the price! It was so expensive! lol, why oh why do we still buy their terrible food? If they didn't have public toilets, 24 hour drive through and they weren't so child-friendly they'd go broke. Though their coffee isn't too bad.

        • +5

These public toilets they call McDonalds come in real handy all over the world. The fact these toilets have in-house catering is just a bonus.

  • -4

How quickly the world forgets. Forgive them, Lord.

I would suggest you carefully inspect your burger before you eat it from McD.
Last time I ordered a Create your own meal, the bun had fungus on it.
The manager refunded the money and said that the buns come out of machine facing down and person picks them and puts them in takeaway boxes so did not notice it.

    • +6

McDonalds can't win, can they? Before people complained that their food wouldn't rot over many years and thus considered unfit for consumption by any living organism and, only recently, shown impervious to molten copper.

Insider tip: Don't drink thick shakes if immunocompromised. Apparently some machines have good amounts of happy organisms clinging to the walls (though this was in India).

      • +1

Choice did a study of thick shakes and soft serve a few years back. McDonalds was one of the few companies that consistently met health standards - mainly because they are systematic about emptying out their machines and washing them. Smaller stores and most of the other chains in the study were less consistent and more likely to have bacterial infections. From memory, some smaller stores rarely cleaned their machines completely.
All of that said, if I'm in good health and feel like a thick shake, I'll usually risk it and buy one from wherever is most convenient.

      • -1

Isn't every Indian wall like that?

    • +2

Manager sounds like a real fun guy.

      • +2

        Manager should've been like:

"Mate if it's fresh enough for fungus to grow on, it's fresh enough for you to eat"

      • I see what you did there

  • What's the cheapest build your own burger? (I wrote 'BYO burger' first but I'm sure someone would have a smart answer for that)

    • +1

I've def made a few where the burger was like 8-9 dollars by itself.

  • +3

Prices are now well inflated. Service is poor. No wonder they complain about lack of turnover. Find a mum and dad operation and support them instead.

    • +2

Or just make your own burger at home. Its not hard , especially if you got a BBQ.

And cost is a few bucks each - mince , rolls , cheese, salad, sauce

Add bacon and an egg if your up for it

SurelY u can find 30 mins to knock that up - ill bet it takes most ppl 20 min round trip to maccas minimum

      • +2

        Buy a BBQ/Gas clean it…
No thanks, i'll go to my neighbors for a free burger.

  • +1

How much is the cheapest create your taste the burger available?

    • I guess you should get some time to create your taste burger..

  • +2

Jindalee, QLD store would not honor this

  • +2

I can't believe people pay upwards of $10-$12 for this build your own burger nonsense…for McDonalds rubbish???

    • I've never tried it, but seems like a good deal with the free large chips and drink.

Though I don't know understand that you redeem the deal by showing it at the counter… don't you need to use the self-serve machines to build your own burger?

      • I guess you select the option to pay cash.

    • Agreed, if I was going to pay in that price range, i'd rather spend a dollar or two extra and go to Nandos instead

  • So anybody successfully used these vouchers? I am thinking Mcdo might not honour it as it says "Show this email when ordering to receive offer".

    • There's an option to add it to Apple Wallet if you click each deal.

Or you could just show them that web page. Same thing.

    • +3

I successfully used it at Myer Centre Brisbane CBD yesterday for the Mcmuffin.

      • +1

Thanks, went to Myer Centre Brisbane CBD and the girl knew the offer but just didn't know how to punch the price. They got someone who knew and all is well.

  • +2

After years of bargaining I've finally made front page. Thanks Maccas and fellow tightarses <3

  • Not available in NSW??? now you know how QLD gets so many New South Welshmen play for them…

    • If I lived in NSW, I'd be doing everything I could do go across the border!

      QUEENSLANDERRRRRRRRRR!

  • +1

Didn't work in Toowong QLD for the mcmuffin.

    • What was their excuse?

    • It wasn't a participating store?

      • They didn't know about it and said something about adding to the wallet to activate it. They showed someone else and they didn't know about it either.

        • That's lame, I've tried it at Brisbane CBD, Sunnybank and Calamvale, all worked without a hitch

        • @montorola:

Ended up paying $4 for the mcmuffin… expensive!

        • @tlai:

It expires tomorrow but all stores (QLD & NT) should accept. See followup email to my phone call to customer service:

          Hi

I have investigated your inquiry. All store you visits should accept your voucher. If they do no please to hesitate to give us a call so we > can action accordingly.

        • @brisdaz:

          Good work!

  • Plussing just for the McMuffin being available all day, why has it taken this long!?

  • Yo you guys should get the mc chicken burger, and a hash brown and put the hash brown in the burger.
