$202 for the Apple TV is not bad…

    • Nice price but it says it's an "international model" so you wouldn't be able to go to apple for warranty, you'd have to deal with kogan. Not sure if that is worth the saving vs the recent 20% off deals with Futu online as that would be an Oz model.

      • Even international models come with 1 year worldwide warranty. You wont get the statutory 2 year aussie warranty though.

        • statutory

I take it you mean 'express.'

        • Even international models come with 1 year worldwide warranty.

No they don't. An Apple store may decide to provide you warranty service (the T&C says "may"), but officially there is no international warranty for Apple TVs, iPhones, and iPads.

          http://www.apple.com/legal/warranty/products/ios-warranty-re…

IMPORTANT RESTRICTION FOR iPHONE, iPAD AND APPLE TV SERVICE.

Apple may restrict warranty service for iPhone, iPad and Apple TV to the country where Apple or its Authorized Distributors originally sold the device.

        • We bought one about 6 months back from Jb for $2000, claimed the GST back. We also got the Tamron 24-70mm from another bricks & mortar for $950 iirc & was pretty happy with those prices once we got the GST back

  • Seems like the Nexus 5x is cheaper on Kogan website than on their eBay store?

    • It is cheaper, but once you apply the 20% its cheaper on the ebay store. used the 5x in white as example:

      Kogan: $469
      Kogan ebay: $491

btw anyone know if its the H790 or H791 they are selling?

      http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/LG-Google-Nexus-5X-32GB-White-/17…

Edited: scrap that, the price of $469 above is without shipping. Which the Ebay one does include.

TL:DR; cheaper @ ebay than kogan.

bought Asus GTX 970 strix for $430 delivered. Thanks OP

  • Hi everyone,
    I need some advice.
I want to buy a Nikon D750 from Kogan ebay.
The price is pretty decent at ~$1740 including cashback.
I have no experience in buying expensive electronics from Kogan.
The product page says it is an international model and also claims that product is offered and supplied by Kogan Australia Pty Ltd pursuant to the Terms and Conditions. I am apprehensive about their warranty and service. Should I go ahead and buy it from them ? or Wait for an offer from an Australian seller?
    Any help is appreciated.
    Thanks.

    • it will be a grey import and not covered by local nikon warranty, you will need to send it back to kogan for repairs if something needs to be done.

      • Hi storyteller,
Yea. That is what i am worried about. Are they responsive and decent at customer service ?
They claim This product is BRAND NEW and comes with a 12 month Australia wide warranty. In the unlikely event that you require a warranty repair, we will collect your item, repair or replace it, then return it you at no charge. It is a requirement of warranty that you keep the original packaging for transportation.
I want to know if anyone ended up in such an unlikely event, dealt with Kogan warranty and were served well.
        Thanks.

I've been buying grey imports for years (not with kogan but) and never had a problem. I've had to send back two dSLRS for repairs to DWI and it's been pretty smooth sailing.

        • @storyteller: lovely, thanks. :)

In the last eBay sale bought a lens, arrived with no issues. They used toll international to bring it over.

      • great.. I ordered one just now..
        thanks

  • Would never buy anything from Kogan and their dodgy antics. Good luck to them trying to run the Dick Smith website.

The Good Guys / JB Hifi and any other honest aussie retailer - Chromecast 2 - $59
    Kogan.com - $57
But wait… Kogan eBay try and sting you for $66.99

    • Just get a 13 inch mac air for $1186 before they sell out. If you don't like it, you'll be able to resell it for the same price you bought it for.

Thanks TA loving this deal I was desperate for a new HDD, I picked up the 4TB Seagate SSHD for $171.44. I told myself I wouldn't spend any money but who can argue with that price? Absolutely brilliant my storage needs are now solved!

    • just hope Kogan do a good job of packaging it

Newegg is full of the sad due to these arriving DOA for their customers

Seagate is on the ball with sorting out problems though

      • I didn't think of that will let you know how they come might post a photo? I finally recieved my 2x20kmah xiaomi power banks not even 5 minutes ago the boxes are slightly dinged up due to the shitty bubble lined bag they jammed them in. Geekbuying could of done a better job.

The division for PS4 is listed at $77.68 and is sold out
on the same page it's listed at $95, that's $76 (after 20%) and in stock.
Still expensive compared to Target at $68.

  • Does anyone know if the Nintendo 3DS XL is a PAL model or imported from HK?

    It says:

This Product is offered and supplied by Kogan Australia Pty Ltd pursuant to the Terms and Conditions.

It sounds like it's a PAL model, but I'm in Melbourne, and so is the item's location. It's been about a week or two since I bought the console yet it hasn't arrived (expected delivery date is 30th though). I'm just worried it's being shipped from HK because then my games wouldn't work..

    • It would be frm HK but PAL version.

      • That's relieving to hear, thanks!

I'm new to Nintendo so I don't know which countries in which region, but wouldn't HK logically fall under Asia? (along with Taiwan and etc. I presume?)
