170
MATT50

Hey guys,

Get a free $50 eftpos card when you join HIF for health insurance.
Promo code: MATT50
It will arrive in about a month
Only 2 days left before the April 1st rate hike but the promo code doesn't expire.
When signing up, please feel free to use my referrer details:
(Power User Edit - No Referral Links for L or P Platers)

For bare minimum hospital only cover (goldvital with no extras) - in NSW, base tier rebate - they're only 10c more expensive than Frank which is the cheapest. It becomes the cheapest when u pay your premium 6 monthly (2% discount) and 12 monthly (4% discount) - really good to lock in this rate before the April 1st rate hike.

For extras cover, they're really good too - cheap with the best dental for all extras cover regardless of whether you bought saver the premium option.

Also signing up can be done completely online in less than 3 minutes.
Haven't made any claims but the reviews on product reviews look good.

  • I believe Frank's 80% on extra is cheapest….atleast for whole family cover.

Can I join for a month then quit after receiving the EFTPOS card?

I can't see any thing saying you couldn't. But you're most probably paying a lot more for the months health insurance premium than what the EFTPOS card is worth. So what's the point you've basically throwing money away?. If you're not planning to have health insurance but just doing it to think you're going to score a free $50 EFTPOS card (but you're really paying for it in the health insurance premium) then you might as well put the money towards an EFTPOS card.

So i really can't understand your thinking.

What's wrong with it when it's the typical ozbargainer's way of thinking? It's been done many times previously on here. His question was legit if the premium would've been much less than $50.

Private health insurance premium here, not a chance it will be less than $50 per month. More like over double that or perhaps 3 times that price.

  • There's also a bonus $70 EFTPOS card as a member bonus for each referral.

    • Don't use referral and promo code at the same time. It'll end up the referrer gets $70 and you get $0. It is mentioned in previous post.

      • Well rules that out.

      • That's not what I experienced.

I signed up last month, with my wife referring me, and me putting in a promo code upon signing up. My wife got the $70 gift card and I received a $50 one.

So by all means sign up with one of the referrers listed here: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/wiki/hif_referrals. Hopefully you choose me ;)
