          @jacross:

          LOL

          shoo fly

        • @jacross: yes, I am aware that ASIA refers to the entire Asian continent, which includes India, Pakistan, China, Japan etc. but when most Australians say 'Asian' then mean Eastern Asia. You are right though, I automatically assumed from the poster that they meant Chinese also.

Maybe the reason in Australia that there is a perceived issue with those of different ethnicities buying cheap goods and then reselling them is they tend to make it a) obvious they are buying all the stock they can, b) they physically look different so it is easy to identify and demonize them? I'm sure if there were large groups of mums with prams going into supermarkets buying all the baby formula by the pallet load, then there would be a crowd uproar about that as well. People as a rule love to blame others, especially when they others are easily identifable as being 'different' to 'us'. Tribal mentality, bro.

Thank you for the pedantry regarding Wesfarmers / Coles Myer, having near enough to only two main choices of vendors to purchase from is close enough to a monopoly / bad enough in my books, especially when there may be doubt regarding price-fixing and price collusion between them (big banks, I'm also looking at you). Capitalism and greed is squeezing the life out of democracy.

        • Lol you two really enjoy arguing don't you? And quite good at it I must say. I enjoy reading it :)

EDIT: Sorry didn't know I was late to the party

      • +1

        (ahem.) ……………. Broden

        • I'm sure of it, he got staff to scan EVERYTHING in the games department, and took everything on sale.

        • +1

          @RichardL:

and sold it on feebay to get profit

  • Did anyone get a 3ds? If anyone got extra I'd love to get one.

  • Cheapest I've found is xbox one lego bundle 500gb 399… for desperados.

    On the hunt.

  • +26

Lol. Saw some poor ozbargainer's partner/wife make the target staff scan all the xbox boxes because they didn't believe the staff when he said no xbox ones with kinect. All this while she was on the phone with the ozbargainer. This was at Melbourne Bourke Street store.

    • +1

      It Wasn't Me !

    • +2

      haha gold!

    • +2

Are there many people now? Anything noteworthy?

      • +4

There was a handful of people. The phone was going crazy. Not much there. I was after a PS3 controller but they didn't have anything. They had a few copies of Pay Day 2 PS4 for $20 and I saw one copy of Mad Max PS4. Other than that, nothing…

        • Damn, was hoping to get some disney infinity stuff or cheap Xbox 360 games. Thanks for the help!

        • @silverrat23: I didn't really look at the 360 stuff or the Disney stuff. To be honest, I wouldn't be able to tell what was new or clearance stuff. Might be worth a wander.

        • +1

          @silverrat23:

South park is there for $5!

        • +1

@silverrat23: Check out JB HiFi - they have 30% off all 360 stuff at the moment. Picked up Alien Isolation ($7), Diablo III ($24.50) and Evil Within ($18) the other day.

        • Heaps of disney infinity left at target cockburn and target

        • @kza2610:

          An infinity amount?

    • That poor beardy man. Someone came up from downstairs and asking why he was not picking up the phone. Poor guy was serving everyone!

    • Ozbargain relationship goals

  • +1

cant see the ps3 dualshock reduced online. Seems like not everything is discounted online.

    • +2

Only the red and blue are on clearance. Only black is online.

      • thanks mate! I must check in-store then! Cheers!

        • +1

Don't bother with Melb CBD. They had zero PS3 accessories. PM me if you find any. I'm keen for 1 to replace a broken PS3 controller!

        • @julz15: The PS4 controller works on a lot of PS3 titles and is awesome :D

  • Is Target closing their gaming department?

    • +5

Nah, these are mostly very old releases, already out of stock most places.

    • +1

Wouldn't surprise me. Nearly all department/variety stores except Target and Big W have gotten out of gaming.

    • +3

No. It's a clearance of games that are old taking up shelf space.

    • Wasnt Target Acquired by Kmart recently?

      • +1

Not at all, they're just managed together now under Wesfarmers to give them more buying power with supplies (amongst other things). Still separate businesses.

  • Man I want one of those old disney infinity ps3 starter packs for $10, but chances of finding one are probably zero…

    • +1

they had ps3, ps4 & WiiU ones at strathpine Target, brisbane.

      • Oh man! I'm not in QLD, but maybe this means there's hope for me (and of course any Strathpinians reading this).

        Thanks!

  • +9

Thank you OP got last one in Gympie

    http://i68.tinypic.com/2s9qhao.jpg

    • +2

Nice! We haven't sold that model for like six months!

      • I saw it last week there and was $499 today on special but rung up at $329 :)

        • +2

Haha, I say 'we' as in my store, I don't think we restock that one. I think it's a rare find and people might be finding the last few now!

    • +1

I got that version today in brissi.

    • did you notice the seals cut on your xbox one box ? or looked like they were tampered with ?

    • did you happen to notice if the seals on the box were cut and another seal put over the top?

      • Yes I did notice that, but all looked new and untouched inside

  • +1

would be great if this is in Excel to be sorted to console, price, etc

  • -2

Nothing that exciting to me, average game prices.

  • is this pretty much the list from a few months ago?

  • Doncaster VIC, had 2x 12gb ps3 consoles left. The Pines had 1x 12gb ps3 consoles. both since 9.30am

Not much games left at The Pines. Lot more older Xbox 360 or ps3 tittles

Doncaster VIC, had a few copies of thief, dead rising 3.

  • any co op ps3 games in that list? im so far out of the loop I have no idea

  • +1

No big ticket items at Forest Hill. I bought Dishonored and I'm happy.
Lots of disney infinity and some ps3 games. No ds from sale, didn't look at Xbox 360 but was told nothing on Xbox one list left.

  • Good prices but couldn't be (profanity) making the trip at lunch time for disappointment.

  • Nothing interesting in Penrith. Couldn't really call it a gaming section, it seemed lacking.

    • Target only restock very popular items - we aren't a games store. So sadly once a game is gone, it's not usually restocked unless it's a CoD or Assassin game etc. Definitely does suck during clearance time!

    • +1

Scored an Xbox One + Kinect Assassin's Creed bundle for $329 at Penrith myself.

      • Nice. The games were pretty meh.

      • did you happen to notice if the seals on the box were cut and another seal put over the top?

        • I didn't notice any broken seals, however I noticed that there were two round clear sticky seals (ie one top of the other).. the first one is for the normal green XBOX box, and the second one is for when they put the outer Assassins Creed cover on. At first glance seeing the two seals made me think that it had maybe been re-sealed, but that wasn't the case.

        • @adumb:

          Exactly the same with mine.

  • +1

Perth Cbd had a few consoles left. Another ozbargainer had picked up assassins creed Kinect bundle.

    I managed to resist temptation

  • nothing interested to me.

  • +4

    Thanks, picked up 3 games.
The guy ahead of me in the queue had about 20 across literally every format which was a little unusual.

    • +2

Looks out for a influx of gaming posts on gumtree / ebay.

    • WOW. What store got wiped? :)

      • Bondi Junction.

To be fair, it looks like others have already raided the store as the PS4 selection had depleted a lot since Monday when I last browsed.

Only buy games that you already wanted is a good philosophy.

  • +3

There is Ass Creed Kinect Xbox at Southgate Adelaide. I am so torn, I love a bargain but can't think why I need an Xbone.

    • +1

Just watched someone else buy it. Thanks for saving me money dude.

  • +2

Thanks, OP, that is a fantastic job. Diablo 3 (PC) for $2? Someone is going to get the games bargain of a lifetime when (and if) they find it at their local store.

  • Thanks OP, scored fallout 4 for $15 and nba 2k14 $5

    • +3

      Wow… Fallout 4 for $15. Nice man.

      • hi, was fallout 4 for ps4 or xboxone? when my bf tried the xb1 fallout 4 it was scanning @ $55.

        • I think it was the PS3 or 360 version..

        • ps4

        • @simmo71: Do you have a receipt? I only found them for $55 :(

        • -1

@simmo71: I think you are just lucky as it should be $55 but had the $15 sticker on it so the staff was kind enough to overwrite the price for you.

        • @ksmi03: I can confirm fallout 4 ps4 is $55 in my local store.

        • Maybe, I reckon me and about 30 other people were lucky then

        • @simmo71: Tried getting them to match it, employee went and asked the manager and she said the best they could do was $40. They also said that Glenorchy (can't remember the right spelling) is in NZ and it was one of their promotions.. Even though the reciept you gave me had an VIC/TAS area code for the phone number and ABN. Going to try another Target today sometime, and point out that it's in Tassie!

        • @ksmi03: Yep I'm TAS(7010), good luck with the price match.

Hi All, still quite a lot of calls coming in to the support office after reading this post. Wait times are long, and as mentioned a few times above, stock levels are 48 hours being sales in stores, so best visit or call your store directly to check stock. Get in quick, stock moving very quickly at these prices!

    • I hope the office is coping!

    • Posts awesome deal, still surprised people calling up. ;)

  • I'm having issues viewing the pdf on my android phone with polaris, it just says file cannot be open :(

  • +2

Thanks for that - I missed Devil's Third on the Big W sale a few days ago so it's great to grab it online for only $20 Click and Collect! From the reviews it's probably still overpriced, but I couldn't resist. :D

    • Its alot better than the reviews said it was, its like a trickier gears of war with some parkour and hand to hand weapon skills. Takes a little getting used to as a cover game, but if you figure out when to use the cover button and when its time to focus on brawling, you should be okay. The boss battles are generally brawling segments, lots of dodging. Running, jumping and climbing is required later in the game in some segments.

Multiplayer is a blast too but its region locked, playtime is generally based around Europe / UK times.

  • +1

Thanks OP. Grabbed Devil's Third for $20 and Lego City Undercover for $30.

Strathpine and North Lakes both have a Splatoon console bundle left if anyone needs them on the north side of Brisbane

  • i think i have to take half a day off from work..got last few $'s to spend, thankfully can survive with 90cent soup till next pay day.

    • -1

If you are serious you need to rethink your life.

      • If i was serious i would have ended up in an ICU rather than OZB typing comments.

  • +1

Thanks OP. Got the 'Xbox One Kinect Assassins Creed Bundle' for $329.
