Toshiba Satellite 15.6" A10-7300/8GB/1TB REFURB, $374.81 + Other Toshiba Deals @ Gray's Online eBay

COOLING15

Here's a very good budget laptop at a great price! Fast processor for daily use, generous amount of storage and memory.

Specs:
AMD A10-7300 Quad Core (1.9 GHz - 3.2 GHz, 1600MHz MC, 4MB L3 Cache)
Windows 8.1 (64bit)
15.6" Widescreen HD LED Backlit Display (1366 x 768), Touch Screen
8GB DDR3L (1600Mhz)
1TB (5400 rpm) SATA
AMD Radeon R6 Graphics, 1GB dedicated system RAM

The only thing of concern is the low resolution display at 15.6" - Excellent deal if the display isn't an issue for you. I would also recommend a cheap 240 GB SSD from this deal

There's also an i5 option at $50 extra:
Toshiba Satellite S50-B04Y 15.6" HD/C i5-4210U/8GB/1TB/AMD Rad R7 M260

For those looking for a tad bit more performance, here's an i7-4510U laptop for $461:
Toshiba Satellite L50-B08C 15.6” HD/C i7-4510U/4GB/750GB/Intel HD

If you want a well-built ultrabook with FHD display and SSD standard, here's one for $643:
Toshiba Satellite P30W-B00F 13.3" FHD/C i5-4210U/4GB/128GB/Intel HD 4400

Cheers TA for the original COOLING15 deal!

  • What are the risks buying refurbished items?

    • They're refurbished.

    • +2

Not a lot - except potentially some signs of use. Refurbished items go through a lot of quality check and are usually backed with the same manufacturer warranty, so if you don't mind buying "second-hand", then it's definitely a great buy!

I've purchased two monitors (both RRP at $1,500) from Grays.

The first is still going from 2009, and the second has been good for the past 2 years.

  • I got a refurbished Toshiba P50T (listed at 799) from grays on a 20% off deal a few months back.
Just brilliant! Great laptop. And a ripper price. Plenty of good deals on laptops thru them.

Mine came 99% perfect. No pretty packaging. But a great laptop!

  • Got a refurb HP Ultrabook a couple of years ago. From the start the screen hinge used to click when opened. Never got round to do anything about it so not sure how they would have responded, but after a few months the hinge broke so now I just have to keep it open most of the time.

  • Anyone know if Gray's provide GsT invoices on ebay purchases? Want to claim the gst

  • Can anyone suggest one of the Grays refurbs for general light use - web browsing, word processing, iTunes backups, dvd burning and some video watching (no gaming). Or perhaps new is better? Budget about $400. At the moment using 10 year old Acer laptop with windows XP & office 2003! Advice appreciated

    • You don't need refurb, just something like this or this would be good.

      • Thanks lyl. Do those have dvd drives/burners, as this is a prerequisite (sorry. I don't understand all the spec stuff in the descriptions)? And shouldn't you be sleeping/studying??!! ;-)

        • No they don't, sorry my bad

        • @lyl: thanks anyway, I appreciate your efforts.
