This post contains affiliate links. OzBargain might earn commissions when you click through and make purchases. Please see this page for more information.

Update 4: Working again

Update 3: Despite the button showing up and being able to get to checkout, you can't purchase the vouchers anymore.

UPDATE 2(9/6): It appears the deal is active but you can't access it via clicking via OzBargain. Copy the link and paste in your browser. You may need to refresh a couple of times before it allows you to put it into your cart.

UPDATE (24/5): The deal is active again.

Groupon is offering $100 of eBay credit for only $85. You can buy multiple things via add to cart but must use the credit in one transaction. You can get $10 off for new Groupon accounts so $75 for $100. Groupon have fixed that.

  • eBay Voucher Code is valid for use in a single transaction only
  • Limit 1 transaction per voucher. Multiple items can be purchased in one transaction (up to a maximum of 10 items per transaction).
  • The voucher expires on 31 July 2016 and any voucher which is not redeemed by 23:59 (AEST) on 31 July 2016 will cease to be valid
  • eBay Voucher Code is valid for use on ebay.com.au only.
  • Your eBay Voucher Code will be emailed to you in approximately 2-4 business days from the email alias: Groupon ([email protected])
  • Not to be used in conjunction with any other eBay or PayPal coupon/voucher.

Groupon eBay T&Cs

3 bought as of 4:15PM. Found this deal through Groupon's cryptic Tweet earlier today. Not sure if you can use cashback but Pricepal has 9% for founders.

Buy anything on eBay like more gift cards (gift card inception)! no nevermind, T&Cs say you can't do that.

From lplau:

If you get a refund, the coupon will become active again with the amount. Therefore it can be re-used.

I just got a refund and on Paypal it will say "Refund Coupons to be sold on Groupon", but it actually goes to the coupon code that was used. Therefore it can be reused.

Groupon your a waste of time still waiting for my vouchers ordered Sunday now Friday to use on Woolworths eBay vouchers which ends tonight no good to me after that got them for that reason only. Says 2 to 4 days now they can refund me utter joke they are

  • Can groupon or will groupon refund the ebay vouchers i paid for or would i lose my money if i asked them to cancel.
I got these to use on woolies vouchers and the ebay ones have not come through which i purchased last sunday.
After many emails and one random reply nothing has been done.
Im not interested in them now and was only purchased for woolies.
As they have not sent them in the time frame they sent of 2 to 4 days wondering if i can get refund.
Im very annoyed to say the least for a egift card that only takes 24 hrs at most and few hrs with others.

    • How about complaining on a more public platform like directly on their facebook page? How terrible for you :(

      • I aready did

    • The deal says 'approximately 2-4 business days' for delivery so Groupon have not breached the stated terms. I am sure they include word 'approximately' very deliberately.

I had problem with a Groupon purchase once (their fault) & they refused to provide a refund, would only give me Groupon credit. I was told "we do not give refunds". There was no flexibility at all. I took the credit, but was not impressed.

      • Well be the last from me tried to save $30 buy buying two ebay vouchers to use against woolworths vouchers but they took too long so now i need to spend the credit before end on july when they arrive.
I requested a refund yesterday and no way i be taking credit they dont have anything i want.
Order last sunday no vouchers thats more than 2 to 4 days dont give a crap about there approximately.
        They should be shut down.

  • Two coupons are the limit. A bit risky to use to purchased used goods. Not all eBay sellers are honest with their descriptions.

As for bwatt, that was your risk to try to double dip for a further discount. In theory it works but one should always account for worse case scenario in turn around. It not uncommon.

  • I was wondering these eBay vouchers yes finally got them but they had been purchased for Woolworths vouchers which I was too late for,,as my wife used her Groupon to get these can they be used on any eBay account mine or her account?
I take they are not linked to her eBay account?

    • Yeah shouldn't be an issue. On another note these won't work with eBay's current $50 voucher offer either which is a total bummer.

  • They have fixed the refunding issue.

So guys don't be scared or pissed off if the seller wants to refund you. However just make sure the refund is done before the coupon end date, because then you'd really be f'd.

    • Hey do you know how long it takes for the coupon code to be valid again? Had a seller cancel my purchase (with no explanation of course) and got the "Refund Coupons to be sold on Groupon" note but when I went to use it again on ebay I got the "you've exceeded the number of times you can use the coupon" error. Thanks

      • Was it a full $100 refund?
Maybe if it was a partial refund of the coupon it doesn't reactivate it.
Mine was a full $100 refund so it started working again straight away.

        • HI, thanks for the repay. It was a full refund so not sure why it didn't work for me. I've sent an email to both Groupon and ebay so will see what they say. Cheers.

        • @seejay80: Did they get back to you? I was issued a partial refund which appears as "Refund Coupons to be sold on Groupon", but I'm getting the "you've exceeded the number of times you can use the coupon" message when I try to use the coupon again.

        • @rbluff: Groupon said it was an ebay problem and ebay said that they were looking into it. Will let you know when/if they come back to me.

        • @seejay80:

What was the result? I'm only just seeing this now, after having the same issue. Still working things out with eBay. Never checked if the code became active again, and now the code is expired.

  • Does the below mean if an auction goes wrong im ripped off i can use voucher again?
Im tempted on an item almost have price on other sellers, free postage which can be $100 on its on from others and seller has opened account 16th july no buying or selling feedback.
Just shows a picture of item and no details about it.
Seems to good to be true but if using PayPal im covered well i would use part paypal and groupon voucher.
Would i get my voucher back to use if issues as does expire end of month.

  • Anyone?

  • What if I use my voucher on an item and have issues with seller as in don't get the item etc and the 31st July passes what happens there do I lose my voucher or get refunded the amount with another voucher to use another time.

  • Just a reminder for those that got these vouchers that it expires tonight. I finally used mine ^^

  • Is that confirmed that coupons becone active again after a partial refund? Even now after the expiry date? I see some comments above but is this a consistent experience or will you get the groupon-ebay-payapl runaround?

    • I had an item that didn't show up. PayPal refunded to the coupon, but the coupon has expired and can't be reused. Waiting for eBay to tell me how they're going to resolve this :(
