[Refurb] Sony KDL65W850C 65" Full HD LED Smart with Android TV - $1511.16 Delivered @ Grays Online eBay

Just beats the previously cheapest price but as mentioned in comments take this with a grain of salt. This is a Refurb vs New unit

Also $88.04 cheaper than Sony's eBay stores refurbished unit

Moving place in the next couple of months and strongly considering this as an upgrade for my older Sony 40" W5500 TV. FHD is okay for me as I don't see myself watching any UHD for many years to come.

Some people have concerns with backlight so consider viewing one before purchasing. Also heard of a number complaints about the Android OS. This does not concern me as I have two dedicated HTPC's.

Hope this helps some people.

How can you compare prices for new unit with refurb?

The last cheapest price $1516 is brand new, while this is refurb.

Sorry, that was not my intention. I should have checked the listing better. Was posting and putting the kids to bed.

Ouch man - tad harsh and uncalled for IMHO. A smiley at the end of such a comment doesn't make it a constructive or fair one. :-) See what I just did there? ;-)

        • That's not constructive comment.

Apology was made (in case you didn't saw that earlier).

          Correct - it makes it a joke/tongue-in-cheek.

        • just from that comment i know you dont have kids

          @Nikko:

Thanks but it's all good. Due to poor grammar and punctuation, I couldn't understand what they were trying to say

  • Can anyone comments on experience buying a refurbish unit? i read in the terms and condition saying that, there might be minor cosmetic defect which will not be covered under warranty.

Bought a refurb unit from eBay (not greys another vendor) of a samsung 65" and it had a hot green pixel in the center of the screen. It doesnt bother me and it was worth the price. But if you are someone that colour codes your sock draw you would hate it.

      • Thanks for the reply. Looking at one of the sony soundbar and the price is very tempting :)

  • Bugger, it won't let me use an AMEX through Paypal. Struggling to find another decent 65" around this price point.

  • This is being sold for $2,500 or thereabouts in Harvey Norman, so looks really good value - does anyone know how much of a defect or how the performance might be impacted?

    • Just had mine delivered yesterday. Besides the ripped plastic for the manual, I can't tell what's wrong with it. Came in the Sony box, remote, batteries etc. were all there. Guessing these might be refurbished as opposed being factory seconds.
