I've got one - I love it. Amazing little BBQ - very good build quality.

I initially thought it was a bit small - but from using it but surprisingly the grilling area is actually quite large.

Generally can feed 4-6 people in one go (some sausages, chops, corn). If you need more real estate maybe get the bigger one.

    Thanks Tom!

Amazing little bbq perfect for my girlfriend and I! I got mine free with my ANZ CC reward points last year. That's not really advice, just wanted to gloat.

    • I got one for free from my local bottle-o through a promotion. That's not really advise, just wanted to gloat.

I thought about using mine for my girlfriend too but she probably wouldn't fit….

Reminds me of the bloke a few years back who took full advantage of the eBay BBQ sale and even had Appliances Online working on his behalf.

His name was Tom and he made $30000 :p

It's a tale like no other.

I don't have a link and can't seem to find the thread that talks about it.

        • @Christop86: Wow, that ebay offer was insane, they offered 50% off, and copped the discount themselves? Ofcourse that would be taken advantage of. Clever guy though, every one wins except for eBay.

  • Amazed at just how good it cooks. Perfect steaks, as well as pork and chicken roasts…. in one word…. Recommended

  • wish they had the q1200,
anyone tried cooking roast in the q1000, is there enough room?

    • yes I have the q1000 and I cooked roast with no problem .

  • wow always wanted one of these thanks OP

Fantastic price for a great BBQ. I paid $245 a couple months back from a Masters price match.

If you can get the upgraded version Q1200, i strongly suggest going for that instead. You get a taller hood with a thermometer which is perfect for roasting.

Half grill plate or a Campaquip full size plate is a must for breakfast. Dont get the Weber Breakfast plate, its so small. Aldi sell a teppanyaki plate that can be used as a makeshift griddle plate.

Side tables are nice for extra prep room.

  • Any recommendations for a stand?

Literally anything other than the weber one. Its plastic and overpriced.

For camping i use the foldable tables from bunnings for extra prep space.

    • I use Weber stand , it is solid , easy to fold , when it folded you can use it as trolley to move your BBQ .

  • I got one from this deal, https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/209261 combining it with this deal https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/204417 and end up paying $139.00. I have used my Weber Q 1000 on many occasions and am happy with it.

  • One of the best purchases I've ever made. I absolutely love my webber Q. Anyone with one. try cooking pork belly on there, omg, It turns out perfect every time.

FFIW, if you didn't realise, these are still made in USA, unlike most other knock offs. They are quality made

I've got one. Amazing bbq. I love that I don't need to know too much about BBQing yet all my mates compliment me on my BBQ skills:)
    Was money well spent!

    Enjoy it.

Thanks, I ordered a Q2000 and the code works for that too - $329.60 instead of $412! Been wanting one of these for ages!

  • I've been considering a charcoal Webber for a while, as my mate cranks some great meals out of his (roasts, pizzas etc.). Would this be a good substitute?

  • Can someone e plain how 'click and collect ' works? Am I able to buy it on eBay and just collect it at my local store?

    • yes, they will usually send you an email to tell you to come collect.
