  • Can you use $20 WW Dollars to buy gift cards? Gift card inception?

    • Nope

    • Buy $100. Get $10. Buy another $50, get $10 off and another $5. Pay with woolies gc that has 5% off.

      • 10% is good saving on MYER. Depends on how we spend those.

Generally MYER has clearance or stock sale every now and then. However, you can save money like this

1: Purchase WW CG using CashRewards or PricePal or Ebay Deal - 6% to 8% saving
2: Use this WW GC to buy MYER gift card - in this instance 10% saving
3: Do the price match on Iphone or wait for 10-15% off with MYER
        4: Claim GST - 9% saving

around 25% of def. saving + AMEX or FF points + Family member discount etc if you are really nuts.

    • Cheapskate Queen's comment on previous deal says it worked on 3rd party gift cards:

      https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/253751

      • Yep definitely worked :)

Shame it's only myer GCs this time.

    • Can you use $20 WW Dollars to buy gift cards? Gift card inception?

That's the Gift Card version of "crossing the streams"

Inception was actually the act of planting an idea within somebody's subconscious, not the act of being in a dream within another dream. But no big deal, I wasn't thinking about it.

    Nutri Ninja Slim Blender $4.50

    If only :D

    • I'll buy 10 please. And I'll get a raincheck for 6 more.

    • You will have to wait another month - hopefully it wont be long

    Nutri Ninja Slim Blender $4.50

    Is that price a typo?

    • Nope…that's the new price ;)

    • Nutri Ninja Slim Blender $44.50

    • Telstra $30 Starter Kit $15.00

    keen for some pokecoins

    • wait, so you can use these starter kits for credit on the Play Store?

    • I went to AusPost to get a Telstra $30 kit for $15 just for the Pokecoins lol.

    • Hi there, lets say I bought 5 $30 starter kit and activate all of them at the same time within one telstra account, does it deduct the balance from all of the activated sim when I purchase the $159.99 pokecoin or it only works on single sim ?

        Should answer your question.

      • +1

You must do a me2u credit transfer max $10/day and there's a small fee per transaction.

      • +1

$100 is the limit for Telstra Billing on Google Play.

      • thanks for the replies.
also will I get into trouble by activating tones of starter kit at the same time ?

        • 5 per account per registered ID I think

    • Does it matter which offer I choose if I plan on spending it all on play store?

  • +1

Any chance of 40% Lego sale at myer this weekend?

    • Yes. But they will raise the price by 20% first.

  • For those who are considering to buy Myer Gift Card, you CANNOT use them in Myer ebay store and thus No cashback neither.

    • What about myer online?

      • -1

        Nope. Only in store.

      • +2

Yes you can use it online now.. The system has been updated recently, which makes their gift cards a lot more useful than before!

  • How about Google Play $50 which comes with 10 WW Dollars. I think that's a deal worth mentioning.

    • +5

Not when you can use Telstra credit…

    ➕ for

Melrose Organic Unrefined Coconut Oil 300g $5.85

Usually it's overpriced and not discounted as much as this :)

No deal TA; Moccona was $14 this week at IGA for 500g

    • Don't IGA sales end on Tuesday's?

      • Yes, but why would you put it in the title when you can buy it cheaper now?

        • I thought bargains need to be at the same time to be no deal

        • +1

@grasstown: Oh nah I believe you are right. I gave it a plus though, wasn't actually going to neg it

    • +7

Necafe Blend 43 was $14 this week at IGA, not moccona. I've never seen moccona lower than $15 before, so it's a great price.

      • +3

Yeah sorry, I have now realized my words were stupid.

  • Has anyone tried downloading a copy of the Melbourne PDF Woolworths catalogue? I only get some of the layers of each page. The products are pictured but there are no prices. I was able to read the web copy but I don't find it easy to see everything on the web version.

    • working fine for me

  • Bought the big ones when they were on sale last, but I gotta say, the sturdiness for the price of the Sistema Coloured Home Storage 60 Litre is good for $12.50.

  • Can you still claim points on your Myer One card if you pay with gift cards?

    • +1

      Yup

      • thanks for answering. this might be really silly to ask but..how do I buy a myer gift card at woolworths? can I buy them in-store at any store? are they among the itunes store cards and things like that or do I ask at the counter?

        • +1

It is recommended that you do a self-checkout when purchasing such items. And yes, the cards are usually with iTunes cards, but I've seen some stores having them scattered around the place. Good luck!

  • Any limits on the MYER cards? This would be great savings to use on my Xmas layby.

    • +1

From previous experience with Flight Centre gift cards, there appears to be no limit

    • Yes there is.

      $500 per transaction

  • If only the Telstra sims were available for purchase online. Could have used the 5% cashrewards with $120 spend

  • Any comments or opinions on the ZTE blade D Optus prepaid phone on sale for $49.50 ? Seems like decent spec for cheap 5" backup or 4G hotspot/music/GPS phone. Only down side for me is missing the 3G 850mHz band for Telstra and part of Vodafone as well as limited 4G bands.
