    Isn't this RRP?

      $1,349.00

    Expensiveeeesss

    • +3

Expensive and No free 256GB MicroSD.

  • Its $50 more at jb….is that the bargain?

For $50 why not just pickup straight away from jb store instead wait for delivery?

Edit: jb currently giving 30 day refund guarantee if u dont like phone.

    • Because like you said, it's $50 cheaper.

Also pickup in-store wouldn't make a difference for those who live near Parramatta NSW (where Mobileciti is at).

      • +12

But then why would you care about $50 if your going to spend over $1200 anyway on the phone…..its a 4% discount at the most.

Why even start the bargain post off with "hurry up guyz!" get in quick….really for a 4% discount?

You could probably haggle a better deal at any HN, goodguys or JB.

4% just dosent seem like a bargain deal.

I might be sounding harsh as i dont ever neg, but the "hurry up guyz!" Qoute just annoyed me.

        • +1

But then why would you care about $50 if your going to spend over $1200 anyway on the phone

          Because Ozbargain.

        • Don't entirely disagree that $50 in the grand scheme of things (relative to $1200) is not that much, but if you don't think 4% is much then maybe you should tell that to the 100+ people that have voted for ING Direct 2% cashback deals posted here in the past.

Agreed that the "hurry up guyz!" is pretty silly/unnecessary though.

Really, this over $1000 phone got "ozbargained" at a $50 saving?

Wow, i must really be clueless of how good a deal this was?

  • +8

****BRB pulling out a personal loan to pay for this phone..

  • +1

Can't you get this for cheaper outright from optus?

    • +1

i saw at optus for $1176 this morning. this is not a deal at all.

  • +3

It was previously being sold for $1211.22 with a Bonus 256GB memory card.

    • +9

Mobileciti is trying to make history by making it the first android phone that goes up in price after launch.

      • If you actually clicked on the link and had a look at the deal, you'd realise that the price back then was actually $1345.80. It could be bought for $1211.22 by using the eBay 10% off voucher.

        • +1

I would say $1,299 WITHOUT the 256GB memory card is not exactly an overall price decrease compared to $1,211.22 with one ;-)

        • @oz-dave: That was a pre-order bonus from Samsung. If you counted that then you could say the same for all other retailers. But yes, that deal is still the best so far.

I would say this is the cheapest you can get right now.

        • -1

          @ronnknee: agree

    • Optus $1179 but its branded

      • Is there a link to that?

Having been using this for a week now and coming from a Note 4 feel quite underwhelmed with it. Not sure all the bell and whistles really add up. Started of with a Note 3 and thought Note 4 was a good step up but somehow Note 7 does not give that feeling. maybe its just me but within 3 days of use I feel I could still live with the note 4.

    • hrmm thanks, i had a N3 and now using the N4, haven't had much desire for N5 or N7 especially after your comments. Def not worth the 1k changeover!

    • +1

sell yours to me and get back your happiness lol

      • Would have sold it alas its a company provided phone 😊

        • seriously you are the one, who got note 7 for free and did not like it.

        • Mate

This an honest feedback it is what it is. Probably save some peope a grand plus who are sitting on the fence. Also I ain't an apple fanboy so make your own decision.

        • @soyea: I respect your views, I bought mine yesterday for $900 cash. It's brand new and with proof of purchase from a gumtree seller but seriously I did not like it either lol, note 5 was much better on the front screen. Note7 edges killed it, they are useless and need a lot of care. If there was a flat screen version then note 7 could be the best phone.

        • ;-) I could not agree more on the flat screen bit. The curved screen make the phone display look smaller than the Note 4. The other thing to note with the all glass back is it so slippery. I never ever used a case on my phones before but with the note 7 it is so slippery that quite a few times pulling it out of the pocket you almost drop the phone. ended up have to by a case to get a grip and in turn bulk up the phone.

    • Using Note 4 now, you saved me $1200, thanks!

    • I'm still on the note 3 since it's release day, note 7 has what i've been waiting for in an upgrade and i'm sure i'll be satisfied although im going to wait for an actual bargain ;3

    • +3

Have a note 4 and decided against getting this. What it proves, is that the note 4 was, and still is, the best phone ever made.

    • Thanks for that. I'm in the same boat and think apart from the 'look at me, I have the latest and greatest stupidly overpriced phone on the market' value , I think the note 4 is still exceptionally good buying.

  • Isn't mobileciti part of the 15% ebay sale to make it cheaper?

    • Sure if you can find the eBay listing for it.

    • +1

It is not listed on ebay.

    • +1

Yep, but can you find it on the ebay site this time? ;-)

  • I thought someone said this would be $900 in an ebay sale soon..

And the Android Sheep moan and complain that the iPhone is expensive.

Paying $1300 for an Android phone is financial madness. The arse drops out of the value within months, and good luck getting any OS updates after a year or so… sorry sir, your $1300 phone is not given Android updates, what you bought is what you are stuck with.

At least an iPhone will retain it's value for resale reasonably well, and you get iOS updates for a decent time (3 years or so).

    • +1

Yes but this phone does a shit load more than an iPhone, there's no comparison sorry. The s pen, waterproofing, qhd display, storage expansion, 15GB online backup, etc all are going to add to the cost. I'd buy this over an iPhone any day. I've actually been waiting for an iPhone that would make me (bay force me) to switch over from my Nexus fetish but it hasn't happened yet. IPhones are just unnecessarily overpriced for what you're delivered.

      • -1

a shit load more than an iPhone,

Ok, it has lots of cool extras, but it doesn't really do anything more than any other phone. They all do the same stuff.

        • Like s-pen, split screen multi tasking, best screen, best camera, secure folder, online 15gb back up, waterproofing, and expandable storage. Sure. IPhone's do a lot of things that every other phone has done for a long time, but doesn't do anything special to justify the cost is the point I'm trying to make, therefore it's unnecessarily expensive. Perhaps this years new iPhone pro may price otherwise, let's see.

    • +3

android sheep?!?!? bit harsh don't you think, it's not like the masses are rushing out for this phone at this price. Unlike the Apple folk.

      • -3

        "Android Sheep" was a joke.

And no, the masses certainly won't be rushing to buy this phone at this price, as it is not good value. It's like paying $130,000 for a Hyundai or Kia when you could get a prestige brand for the same $$.

        • -1

And I guess your prestige brand is an iPoo right? iSheep!!🤣

    • +6

its personal choice, they all good phones…

  • +1

I paid full price for this phone and thought I was upgrading from my note 5. The edge screen is horrible to protect you can't find anything that fits it. I don't use the iris scanner and everything else to me is the same

    • Are you able to tell me where is your Galaxy Note 7 made in, Korea or China?

      • +1

        Made in Vietnam.
        Manufacture date: 08/08/2016

        • Thanks for the info!

  • +1

Bought a Note 4 on release here… dont think i would bother with these $1200 not worth the money.

  • Everybody should email MobileCiti to put this Note 7 phone on their ebay site, so we can get a further 15% off!

  • Big news at the moment:

Some Samsung Galaxy Note 7 units crash randomly and inexplicably, ours included. #Brickgate?

$1176 outright from optus , available in store.

    • -2

Are you sure it's the 64GB version? I'm quite sure Optus only have the 32GB version.

      • +2

        There isn't a 32gb version

      • -1

I think the 32gb model might be the phone to go with because you have expandable memory slot.

Or is there real added value for the 64gb model?

        • +2

          ..There is no 32gb model.

        • Haha where is the edit button when you need one ;)

      • +1

        64gb
        http://www.optus.com.au/shop/mobile/phones/samsung/galaxy-no…

Nothing about outright online but in stores definitely available outright. With price also stated on the ticket.

Have also heard a few people being able to get jbhifi to match over at whirlpool

  • +1

People have been getting jb hifi to pricematch optus for $1176 as per whirlpool where to buy thread. Not a bargain

  • +3

To be a 'bargain' it needs to be under $1250, to be an OzBargain it needs to be under $1150.

    Please try again later.

    • I have to agree that being so close to RRP without the added memory card is not a bargain.

  • +2

    Wheres the bargain?

  • +4

Note 5 owner here. Had a good play with the 7 in a Telstra store. While it does feel a little more polished and is feels nicer to hold, it's the actual screen display that put me off considering an upgrade.

Although fashionable, the curved edges create optical distortions around content on the sides. This is no problem with something like the home screen, but open up an eBook or even a predominantly white, text heavy web page and the effect becomes quite distracting.

Returning to my Note 5 afterwards, with its flat, undistorted and all round excellent display, left me with no desire at all to upgrade.

I hope by the time of the Note 8 - or will they jump straight to Note 9 (!) - the fad for curved screen edges has passed.

    • +2

went from Nexus 6P to S7 edge. That curved display thing sucks. All the accidentally palm touches on screen, and the distortion as you mentioned. I'm selling it and going back to the 6P. If only the 6P had the camera of the S7. The camera is amazing!
