This was just listed a few hours ago by Bing Lee, great price for the new Sony KD75X8500D. Bing Lee recently dropped their price from $5999 to $4899, combine that with the 20% off eBay coupon CUT20 to make it $3919.20.

Cheapest elsewhere is $4928 at The Good Guys, Harvey Norman & JB Hi-Fi (until 25/9). See staticeICE. One previous deal for it here for $5449 back in July. The Bing Lee listing price of $4899 is actually the cheapest already before the code.

Would totally buy this TV if I was in NSW. Currently looking for a 70 inch TV within the $4k range. :(

You could totally cover petrol for $80.80

      • +8

You're no Ozbargainer, please hand in your membership.

It's $80.82, you always pump more fuel and pay in cash.

Then it gets rounded down and you've received 2 cents free fuel.

Over time it all adds up.

  • Got mine 8500C 75inch for $3600 on Boxing Day last year. This price probably is the best one before this year's Boxing Day. There's a risk you can't get the TV on the Boxing Day as stock usually low.

  • Yeah I got this TV for $3999 before Christmas last year in the Ebay 20% off TGG and then price matched Binglee boxing day to get even more off :) I thought this model would be a lot cheaper by now.

This TV was only released 4 months ago, I think you are referring to the 8500C model

      • Yea, that was KD75X8500C
Any specific difference between these 2?

        • The C had 3D

        • @Steptoe: If rest of the specs are identical, that means this is a bit expensive compared to 3C last sale.

        • 8500C had a VA panel, 8500D uses IPS. VA has much better blacks and IPS has a better viewing angle, so depends on how you'll be using it which one is better.

        • @unknown: I have LG with IPS panels and Sony 8500C and both have good viewing angles and we can see Sony from sides as well. Blacks are brilliant in Sony and LG had LED bleeding for blacks.
Didnt know or Forgot if 8500C had VA panel.

      • Sorry my bad.

  • Any specials on the next model up x9400d?

    • Only x9300d in 55" and 65" available, no x9400d or 75". Covered in Trent's post.

  • I would love the T.V….
But it 75 inch literally wouldn't fit in my room.

Not with that attitude it won't! :-P

      • Good point.. I should put it on my ceiling so I can watch t.v. lying down!

        • Is that how everyone watches porn?

Can I mount this on the dash of my new Suzuki Swift?

    • +3

Buy 4 table legs and it can be a carport.

    • +1

Your Suzuki might become "not-too-swift" with it mounted. LOL

  • Any idea if we can get in VIC any where for this price?

  • +1

Bing Lee recently dropped their price because on the Sony website it's only $4,928 now. http://store.sony.com.au/KD75X8500D.html#start=1

The 20% off though is a good deal.

  • Posted option disappeared from listing.

  • There is a store in Victoria - Wodonga (was willing to make the trip), but out of stock, just across the border in Albury out of stock too :(

    • With a big trailer??.

  • They ended the sony 65 inch x9300D? BOoooo

  • deal be done !

I don't know what scares me the most. That $3.9k is a bargain OR it is "sold out".
