Still waiting for s7 edge deal

    • +3

      Me too!

    • +1

Why the preference for the Edge?
I have one and I find the curved edges to be useless and annoying. Would be great if they just made an S7+ so we can get a big screen without the curves. Each to their own I suppose.

      • +4

Bigger battery in the S7 edge and a case fixes handling problems with the thin edges.

        • +1

I heard some issues with tempered glass screen protectors on S7 edge phones. Do you have any issues with it on your edge? If no, which one are you using now?

        • +2

I use the SPIGEN HEAVY DUTY TOUGH ARMOR Cover for my S7 edge.

Can find on ebay for like $15.

Gives the phone a thicker edge to hang onto and it has a little kick stand so I caprop it up on a desk/flat surface.

Great quality and cab still access the edge of the screen.

EDIT: Oh and I dont use tempered glass screen protector - just a great case.

      • +3

The edge is slightly annoying I agree, and I prefer the regular S6 over the S6 edge. But with the S7 edge the bigger screen makes it more attractive.

      • +2

I've got one and the bigger screen and bigger battery is worth it (even if i have to deal with the edges weirdness now and again)

        • +1

I always feel like people will be more likely to see what you're doing on the edge vs the normal S7 lol

        • +1

          @montorola:

If people want to look, they'll look. I don't think the design of the phone is going to stop that small minority of sticky beaks

    • They won't, the Edge is the most popular they sell it without any deal.

  • Great discount code.

    • +18

How dense someone has to be to keep leaving irrelevant comments such as this one? What a (profanity).

    • +3

It wasn't the Samsung that exploded. It was the battery inside that was exploded.

A longer lasting Xiaomi might means the longer the chinese government can survey on you without your knowledge.

      So take your pick?

      • +1

Not just the government, whoever can pay, i guess they can sell this kind of information.

      • +2

        might means

Yeah keep on making up conspiracy theories about the Chinese government while Google collects everything about you and the Australian and US Government records everything you do - and you continue to use the devices that do this.

    • Yea and your data will also be backdoored to some random chinese servers…good luck with that

    • +3

Still stuck with bloated unpure android either way.

    • I really like my $200 Note 3 Pro, and it's clearly better value for money, but it's a DIFFERENT PHONE. This isn't hard for most people.

    • -2

Holy shit this was not deserving of so many negs.

      • This so called Samsung madness. it can only be cured with a samsung boom.
I wish them good luck with samsung.

  • +1

Awesome work TA, mate got one from the previous deal, and thought I was bs'ing about the code until I showed them your post haha :)

  • +1

Sounds like a hot deal, you'd be flaming mad not to get one.

    • +9

Aww what, negs already, well that post blew up in my face….

      • +2

I recall making a similar comment in another thread, but was met with an explosive tirade of negs. Some people just light up over the littlest of puns

  • Can I still use my Vodafone sim with this Optus branded S7?

  • I bought it in store for $839 yesterday. :-(

  • Anyone know if this can be rooted without tripping knox?

    • Is Knox even installed in stock touchwiz?

    • No root will trip the KNOX

  • +6

would jump to it if its an edge model

    • For $766? You're joking. You'll be wait at least another year.

      • +2

Edge was $680 on eBay for grey import not long ago. Kinda regret not selling my S6 regular, Aus stock, and upgrading to it.

        • Most people don't buy grey imports, though.
          Mobileciti is an Australian retailer.

  • +7

id like the edge deal pls.

  • +4

    EDGE PLEASE!

  • +2

Damn good price for the best phone. I am using one

  • +1

thanks for bringing the deal back TA. just what i needed

  • +3

    Deal on 6p???

  • +2

Hey are you guys going to be carrying the LG V20

  • awesome! bought a gold one :-)

  • Anyone else waiting for the S7 Active?

From my research it is only available with AT&T in the US at the moment.

    • Active series has always been US only

      • Not quite I remember seeing the s6 active in the Samsung store last year so it being US only is not true.

      • Anyone else waiting for the S7 Active?

If you are going to purchase, be sure you have an easy return path - many of the early shipments seem to have had a manufacturing defect where they leaked, but the problem appears to have been fixed now.

Active series has always been US only

Not true - I have purchased some of the previous "Active" series from Australian retailers…

  • I see what you did there with the code :)

  • +2

    Edge !!!!!!!

  • +2

Optus is trying hard to get rid of S7.

  • +2

Thanx TA, bought one for the missus.

  • +1

    Any deal for iPhone 6+?

  • +2

Edge deal please! I believe in your negotiation skills TA!

  • $300 overpriced imo.

  • +4

Some might find the ebay offer of more use, spend $300 and get bonus $100 ebay voucher, same seller

$845, get $100 ebay voucher to spend in November

    http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Samsung-Galaxy-S7-SM-G930F-4GB-RA…

    • Does this give a proper tax invoice?

If getting TRS refund this is the way to go, $760 + $100 eBay voucher for local stock is a great deal.

      • Yes they do

  • +2

TA - another fanboy wondering if you might be able to get us a great deal on the Edge

  • What's the difference to the $1045 S7 Mobilciti has at http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Samsung-Galaxy-S7-SM-G930F-4GB-RA…?

Or is the $1045 one just the same thing not on special, catching those unaware?

    • +2

That one appears to be completely unlocked, no carrier bloat ware on it and you get updated direct from Samsung, you don't wait for Optus to make theirs and push it out
(Both are carrier unlocked though, so any sim will work)

      • Looks like it, thanks.I think that shows how much more people are prepared to pay to not have bloatware or Optus flashing up.

        • It's also the fact that this one is on sale mate
The one you linked isn't lol

  • +4

Awesome phone, I am so glad that I left apple for this phone.

  • Is it the same phone that caught fire in few cases?

    • +1

You're thinking of the galaxy note 7
      Which has been completely recalled
So no, this isn't that phone

      • +1

Sorry for the confusion. Number '7' created it.

        • Yeah 7 seems to be a standard generational number at the moment
iPhones are up to 7, all the Galaxy phones are up to 7

  • Hey TA, can you please negotiate deal for gear s2 classic watch?

Been waiting for a good deal to pull the trigger

  • +1

Anyone knows good Tempered Glass Screen Protector for S7?
I bought the Tagg full coverage one from eBay but due to some curving around the edge screen is not registering very well.
I also hate glass protector that leaves too much gap.

Or is my only option is plastic one?

  • What company do they use for shipping?

    • +2

I think either FASTWAY or AP EXPRESS post.

      • +1

usually AP with tracking … i've gotten most the phones i've bought from them within a day or two depending on what time i ordered it during the day (i've bought 100's for work purposes)

  • +1

Anyone taken this into Samsung to get rid of the Optus firmware? If so.. is it the same as the XSA I'm downloading from http://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/database/SM-G930F/XSA/ ?? (It's taking forever because of their stupid pyramid scam of a subscription model!).

    • So you'd have to root to put a new ROM on right, which would trip Knox and void the warranty?

      • This doesn't trip knox apparently.

        • Interesting - I'd buy this deal but can't stand bloatware or even seeing Optus' logo, nor having to wait for dinosaurs.

Also warranty - it just locks you into overpriced repairs of things not covered by warranty if you want to keep the warranty active - things that actually happen, like smashed screens. I've never had any phone fail for things covered.

I think grey is my best bet, one from an Oz supplier who has their own warranty should it be DOA.

        • @Janko:

Grey is ok but for nearly the same price why not get Australian stock? I read someone took theirs into a Samsung store and they got rid of the Optus firmware but it seems easy enough to do yourself.

        • @Janko:

          Hi janko,

Any links for Australian supplier grey import?

          Thanks

        • @anzacpaul:

qd_au on ebay was looking the best as far as rep on forums, some chance of getting a DOA fixed and price. Dual sim version as well.

I however decided to get this deal. Good price plus I can claim GST back, plus it'll arrive in a few days. I'll get rid of Optus firmware, and as soon as I'm happy it's pretty much all working, I'll root.

    • +1

Thought I'd give you my experience. I got the phone from this deal; called Samsung Care and asked about flashing with original Samsung S7 firmware and they said it would void the warranty. However I then went to a Samsung Retail store and told them I want the 'Open Australia' firmware and they were able to flash the original Samsung S7 firmware. The key word you need to tell them is Open Australia (give an excuse that the GPS doesn't work properly as this is a known issue apparently) and they should help you out :)

  • -3

Only a 1% chance of exploding and catching fire …. good buy

    • +5

      You are dumb.

  • How can we be sure they are not ex-demo stock? Mobileciti have sold demos as new and unused before and have sold phones in packages which have been unsealed.

    • Hi Tom469

this is 100% brand new, buyer can alway contact us for return if they not satified with the condition of the item upon received, no need to be worry.

  • Mobileciti,
    Thank you for your reply.

I don't mean to be rude or offensive but I must say, and it may be hepful to you when answering other posts, here or on other sites where I have seen you respond to posts, that you often fail to directly answer the question.

This way of not directly answering questions may just be a cultural issue but, in Australia, it makes it look that you are deliberately avoiding the question and leads readers to assume that a direct and truthful answer would reveal an answer that is not what the person who questioned would want to hear; and, therefore, that it would be against your financial interests.

So, in my case, I asked if the Optus phones which you are selling are ex-demos. You did not directly reply other than to say they were new. What is "new" or not is a matter of definition.

Would you please let me, and other readers, know if your Optus branded Samsung S7 pones are demos or phones which have been returned to Optus or not.

It is not enough to say buyers can "contact" you if not happy. Say, up front, what you will do if they are not happy.

I have read of persons buying phones from you which turned out to be ex-demos but which had bee described by you as brand new and never used and of people buying phones which had obviously been unpacked for some reason or another.

Thank you in anticipation of a direct and honest answer.

    • +3

      Hi Tom469

I have already mention that "100% Brand New" which means stock are sealed, never been opened and not the demo or returned stock.

Few other small issue was related to package seal sticker(paper sticker) been damage in our warehouse or during the transit, we didn't know the seal sticker was so easy to break at time, those issues has already been resolved, we also advise our pick and pack team to check the packaging condition before we send. shouldn't be any more issues.

You are also more than welcome to come our Parramatta store or send some your friend to inspect the stock before purchase.

  • lol missed

    • Damn missed the deal here too
