  • Isn't 1920x1080 16:9, not 4:3, but I see you've just copied that from the site. Otherwise, good deal. I got a 22" LG and it's a charmer. Love their pixel perfect warranty.

  • Hi Everyone.

Here is more information about this LED monitor.

    http://www.lg.com/us/computer-products/monitors/LG-led-monit…

The LG site say it's 1920x1080

    pricesengine team

  • Awesome, i was after 2 x 22" but seriously considering this

    • At this price why not 2 23" more space :D
      Only down side 16:9.

  • Just give you guys some more information about the LG panel manufacture.

Some of you maybe don't know about the LG panel manufacture. But you must know about iPhone 4 Retina display.

The iPhone 4 LED Retina display it's supply by LG panel manufacture. The reason why LG is not that famous it's because they are focus on the panel OEM for other brand.

    like Apple.

And this monitor also come with 3 years perfect pixel warranty. I believe this is the first manufacture that offer perfect pixel warranty in the market.

Which is not bad. And i believe that is the first 23' LED monitor the price down to $199.

    For your information.

      huh

      • Looks not bad, plus free delivery it's really tempting!

        • great! add a hd set top n u have a bedroom tv!

          • @mikkim4eva:

great! add a hd set top n u have a bedroom tv!

            Speakers?

            • @ash2000: I dunno, mine can opt out to my comp speakers @_@ not the same model though

        • Yes, but 4:3 with 1920x1080 ?

          • @timhn: There might be 4:3 mode on the screen where black bars on the sides are put on if the input ratio isn't widescreen. I've seen this on a few screens

    • Why all the negative votes? Old School was just leaving a note to minniewu in their native language. Use Google Translate if ya wanna know

  • I'm tempted… :/
Been looking to purchase a large monitor nothing over $250
Can anyone provide any negatives of this monitor?

    • The only negatives are the weird spec on the website ie the 4.3 and the 16.9 it clearly says 4.3 on the main page then on the specs page it says 16.9 by looking at the screen it looks almost 16.10

      • The "Summary" on the website states "Aspect ratio: 16:9" whereas if you open the tab "Special features" you'll see "4:3 in wide: Yes". Would that clarify anything???

        • +1

I found this comment in a forum regarding the "4:3 wide" feature. It's for viewing on a widescreen monitor material that is natively in a 4:3 resolution, without black bars.

"Its sort of a neat trick. Everything in the center of the screen is kept at 4:3. The it stretches the the edges up to a certain point to the edges of the screen.

In otherwords, only things on the extreme right and left sides will look distorted."

PS: I just bought one. :)

        • -2

nope still is 4.3 vs 16.9, 4.3 is almost sqaure which it obviously isnt by the image , bit confusing having a hard time recommending this when the vendor cant get it right.

    • -2

Specs look pretty good. Only negatives when compared to a good Dell are (a) no USB ports (b) non-height adjustable and (c) relatively slow response time (5ms not good enough for gaming) but you do get LED back-lighting.

      • +2

LOL 5ms isn't good for gaming.

        Really now?

      • -1

Well you cant have the best for $200. 5ms is low enough, human eyes cant see below 7.

  • In the 'specs' section of the LG website it says it's actually 16:9, which you'd expect from a 1920x1080 resolution. Although on the 'features' section it still talks about 4:3. I think someone at LG just stuffed up, as the picture is obviously of a screen that's a 16:9 ratio.

Display Type LED-backlit Screen Size 23" Screen Size (Diagonal) 23.0" Full HD 1080p Yes Resolution 1920 x 1080 Aspect Ratio 16:9 Brightness (cd/m2) 250 Digital Fine Contrast Ratio 5,000,000:1 Number of Colors 16.7M Response Time (GTG) 5 ms (Typical) Viewing Angle 170°/160° Surface Treatment 3H, Anti-Glare Number of HDMI ports 1 Plug & Play Yes Limited Waranty 3 Year Parts & Labor

  • I would have bought it by now if it wasn't such a dodgy looking website that provides little information about the business… my biggest concern is dealing with dead pixels in the event that I get some, means I have to ship it back.

    • +1

Don't worry about the site. cause the only payment we receive is via PayPal.
And regarding to the dead pixels, you can contact with LG directly. They have 3 years perfect pixels warranty.
Which is not thing you have to worry about.

      • I read up earlier about the Samsung LED monitor at $200. Is the LG replacing the Samsung or is it coming soon?

        • …Facebook, and then an LG monitor pops up on their site instead? I noticed that too but its no biggie

You edited your post pretty fast as well

          • @Roja: Please understand it's very hard to get the deal from samsung in one day.

            • @minniewu: Was looking forward to the Samsung too, LG so so. Hope the Samsung comes along soon.

        • I'm sorry about the Samsung monitor. But actually we haven't receive any feed back from the Samsung supplier.

And just for your information. That will be a LED component shortage in this second half year. Which mean all the LED monitor price will increase perhaps. that is due to the Large size of LED panel demand increase because the world cup.

So it's very hard to get the LED monitor price like this.

  • Could anyone confirm, that they have received their item delivered.. from PricesEngine ??

    • +3

Yes the free HDMI cable which arrived 1 day after order

    • i bought harddrives ad the free hdmi arrived within a week

    • yes, a few of us from worked ordered them, and arrived in about a week later.

  • For your information. From isuppli.com

"A tight supply of LED chips is expected in 2010 until the end of the year, and the impact of rapid growth and expansion will be felt all throughout the supply chain. The supply situation will improve, however, at the end of 2010 as capacity will have caught up and newer designs will require fewer LED chips.

Changes also are anticipated throughout the LCD supply chain because of the rising adoption of LED backlights."

  • is it height adjustable? as I hate the non-height-adjustable monitor :(
    bad for my backs…

    • Wow !!

Good question. let me check on there site. Or maybe you can also find out on there site.

      pricesengine team

cause that is non-height adjustable sorry.

  • How does this one compare to http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/27070 spec-wise?

    • The Big different is.
