Not sure if the AMEX offer would work since that is for Australian hotels?

    • +1

The Australian properties that fall under the Pacific area would qualify.

      • but if I booked a pacific hotel, wouldn't it book in a different currency too? For eg japan Hilton would book in JPY rather than AUD so how does that work with the AMEX $300 min spend?

  • +4

I was so tempted until I read "… across Asia Pacific (excluding all properties in Mainland China, Hong Kong and Macau)" :-(

Also, re AMEX credit -"Offer valid for spend at Australian Hilton Hotels & Resorts and DoubleTree by Hilton locations only. Save the offer to your card, book directly with Hilton Portfolio of Hotels & Resorts in Australia only…"

    Still thank you for sharing.

  • +2

By definition doesn't Asia Pacific include Australia?

  • According to last flash sale, I believe Australia is part of APAC Hilton…
    Last Flash Sale
    Hilton APAC

  • For stays booked between 7 November 2016 8am (GMT) and 11 November 2016 8am (GMT), and completed by 17 April 2017

Am I not thinking correctly (it is a Friday after all) or does this imply I can make a booking in March 2017 for stays in Nov 2016 (ie in the past????) whut

    • i believe you can book between 7-11 to stay in before April next year

      • wow - i just re-read the sentence - brainfarted sooooo hard

        • its friday.. just your brains way of telling you its time for some alcohol (or other substances if religion or beliefs restrict the use of alcohol) hehehehehe

    • Book By 07 Nov 2016. Stay Between 07 Nov 2016 and 17 Apr 2017

  • I believe that Hilton count Australia in the APAC region…

    http://apac.hilton.com/

  • I just did a quick search, but I did not know what the best price was. How do i know the price on their website is the sale price? Thanks.

    • It will say so.
At the moment it won't appear, as the sale doesn't start til the 7th of November.

      • Nice it will be cheap rates that can be stacked with the Amex promo for hotel stays in Australia.

      • +1

ah sorry my bad. I'll wait then. I'll take a risk and book a room in Fuji with my Amex card, let see if I am qualified for the Amex offer. Thanks.

        • I don't believe it will work as the AMEX offer is for Australia hotels, but you never know

        • @jayz:

yup, even if i cannot get the credit from Amex, the 40% sale is very good deal still.

      • But it says "Book By 07 Nov 2016."

That would mean sale ends then?

        • "Stays booked between 7 November 2016 8am (GMT) and 11 November 2016 8am (GMT), and completed by 17 April 2017"

        • Usually these offers that are accidentally 'released' aren't proof read.

          Just below it also reads:

Enjoy 40% off in Asia Pacific

For stays booked between 7 November 2016 8am (GMT) and 11 November 2016 8am (GMT), and completed by 17 April 2017.'

        • @jayz: Okay cheers :)

    • +1

Yeah good idea for booking outside of Australia.

  • IS there any discount code to apply during checkout ?

  • -2

silly question would this include Hawaii?

    • Don't believe so, as it's a state of America, even though in the Pacific. Hence the country is in the Americas.

  • Also a silly question, but do Conrad Hotels also fall under this Hilton umbrella?

    • +1

They do - but not sure whether any fall in the promotion.

    • +1

I've never seen them not included in sales.

    • Opps

  • Time to book a Hilton Hotel on Monday 7th November 8 Am. Hahaha
Oh wait excludes Hong Kong and Macau shittttt

  • -2

so if anyone can help here that would be awesome!
I wonder if I can book a hotel, claim the $150 AMEX offer then cancel the card (I got the ANZ 75k points and free 1st year annual fee and the year is up thus I don't want to pay the Annual fee)
I called Hilton locally and they told me they need the card to verify (I will have the card, just its cancelled by the time I walk into the hotel)

Is it possible to do that? Just trying to save money, I might as well not bother with the $150 dollar offer if the $400 annual fee comes around.

    Thanks!

    • +1

They won't charge the money to your card until you are done the checkout at the hotel. If you pay online, it is pre-paid booking and the policy is non-refundable.

      • +2

IIRC non-refundable bookings are charged to the card (actual charge, not a mere authorisation) immediately after you have placed the booking online. I am sure if snippy have the card to show that he is the authorised card holder it will be alright even if the card has been cancelled.

        • Appreciate the responses all. I got negged twice lol
Maybe the question was off topic? Or I posed it wrong?

  • +1

Been looking at a room in Sydney for the last couple of months (have an accor room booked for the time being). It'll be interesting to see if the Hilton prices drop much (Has been consistently around $320 while I've been looking), if at all. I find these sorts of sales are often very disappointing. Hopefully I'm wrong this time..

  • Excellent. Flying to Fiji from 17-22 & ofcourse booked hotels and now this comes along…. lovely jubley.

    • wait..did you book your hotel using the Amex card? What are the benefits for you if you booked the hotels?

      • Sorry, I was being sarcastic.
I've already booked via FlightCentre (not using this deal) and paid around AU$1600 for 5 nights. I'm assuming this deal will be much less than that, hence why I shall not return to this thread ;)

        • lol, I got you.

        • -1

Omg, why would you do that. Wait until the day before you go, and then when there is no bargains, book then.

    • You rang?

  • Thanks!!

  • +2

    Japan applicable?

  • Booked tickets from 18th April-25th :/

  • -4

I found that the dates I wanted for Sydney were still over $400. I called and booked the hotel directly and got the $399 package including breakfast and late check-out. Might help some people who are in a similar situation.

    • +6

the deal is not available yet, wait until 07/11

      • My bad, I'm normally a bit more aware when commenting. ;)

  • +1

Anyone know if / when there are Hilton USA sales?

    • Would like this as well

  • Is the accor sale normally good?

  • +1

You Rock OP! Going to Japan in March :)

  • Anyone know if they Jack up the prices for these sales? I'm pretty tempted if the rates stay as they are…

  • Would not think so

  • +4

note the start time of this offer: "7 November 2016 8am (GMT)"

Which for Qld would be 6pm on Monday, and for NSW/VIC/ACT 7pm on Monday…. the rest of you can work out your local time zones

  • +3

has anyone found a link or code for Japan hotels

    • +2
      • You have to be HHONORS member. What does that mean?

        • It's Hilton's frequent travelers program. You can register a account for free.

      • Fantastic. Now we need to clarify if we could score the Amex deal

  • Anyone found a link to the bali hotel?

  • Going to Japan in Feb. Are there any hilton hotels that will be around $100/night after the discount in Tokyo, Osaka etc?

    • Just quickly do a search on their Web page for the days you wish to stay and then multiply the per day value to 0.6
That should give you the right estimate I believe.

      • After discount lowest I could find was $200. Any cheaper ones?

        • conrad tokyo

        • @Wootwootwoot: I'm getting $2000 for 3 nights in Feb before discount. Lol. Too expensive.

  • Im going to Singapore for 9 nights in December, so this wouldn't literally make the hotel almost half price? Why does this seem too good to be true?

  • +5

    08:00 GMT = 17:00 AEST

    • i just punched this into google and it says 7:00PM AEST/19:00?

  • Anyone tried this yet? Don't see the discount. Trying to book Melbourne in Feb

    • As cymon commented above, 08:00 GMT = 17:00 AEST :)

    • I'm seeing rates now marked as 40% off Flash Sale.

      • Yep me too, Singapore etc can see the new 40% off.

But do not see any sale amount for any australian hotel, tried melb, sydn, Brisbane…Australia does not seem to be included yet

        • I can see the sale for hilton in syd now, but cant book as it fails at last stage (after entering in CC details)

          tried on website and app

  • +3

Don't forget to register the 2x/3x points offer.
    https://www.hiltonhhonors.com/9213_08302016/

  • shame it's all prepaid

  • This sale is for pre-paid only, so you won't be able to combine with Amex Connect which excludes pre-paid bookings.

    • It seems like it does work though?
      https://www.ozbargain.com.au/comment/4086812/redir

      • I'm here looking for this answer.. is advanced purchase the same as prepaid? Also the AMEX T&Cs state 'pre-paid online bookings are excluded'. Do you think this could mean we can pre-pay booking over the phone?

        • +2

I can confirm I booked over the phone for a Jan 2017 stay having to prepay the whole amount and it has tracked for the $150 credit

  • I am not seeing any sale for Bangkok, or maybe its blackout period (23 Jan to 27 Jan)?

If you not hilton member you should see 35% off at least?

Trying to find sale for all these places for late Jan and mid April:

    Kulua Lumpur
    Bangkok
    Jakarta
    Osaka
    Kyoto
    Gunghzou
    Tapei

  • -1

I'm seeing discounts but it says

SAVE 40% OFF FLEXIBLE RATE. HH MEMBERS ONLY.

    =/

Is HH member free to join?

    • Yes it is

  • The Hilton hotel i booked last week on a flexible fare was $128, today the same hotel is $138 non refundable.

  • Looks like they put the price up for the Hilton Tokyo?
Looked like $500 / night on the dates I wanted when I looked 2 days ago,
now it's >$700, reduced to $450 with the discount
