Minimum $50 per month for the 4GB plan. Not bad for a plan with a phone, though as far as data and calls go it's overpriced - can get the same without being locked in for 24 months for $30/month.
(Though the Woolworths plan does include 150 minutes international if that's what you need).

A phone costs extra on top of this. S7 is $23 extra for example, so $73 on the M plan. If you take the $300 gift card and divide it by 24 months that's a discount of $12.50 a month, so $60.50 for 4GB with an S7. It's an ok deal, but Optus is offering $65 for 7GB at the moment, which also entitles you to $20 discount off Optus broadband plans.

      This was a better deal.

      • S5 can be gotten for $2 per month on the $50 plan, it's not a bad phone.

You can use these eGift cards to buy any of the gift cards they sell in store, just use the self-serve checkout!

    • I used Woolworths giftcard to buy itunes giftcard last week in the cashier and it worked too!

  • Any cashrewards cashback on this TA?

  • What network does woolies use? Voda?

      Telstra.

      • oh ok. With 4G?

        • Yes, with 4G.

    • +1

Telstra network, but only part of it.

    • +1

How do you get a deal like that?

    • +11

You must not understand. You are comparing prepaid to a plan. These plans are priced and they subsidise the phone into the high price.

I'm guessing you already knew that, but you just wanted to post your irrelevant comment anyway.

Sorry to disappoint but the half price starter pack is only to lure you onboard.
You'll then need to recharge (not activate nor port in) to retain your bonus data offer. Activations after 31/01/17 won't get bonus data see T&C.

      • He's including a $2 porting SIM. Use your month, port away, port back to start a new discounted month instead of recharging.

I'm not sure how long you can do that for before they get onto you. It certainly isn't in the spirit of the offer.

        • Care to read my comment again? :)

    • Pity you didn't neg it any way

Doesn't look like these plans exclude Spotify etc from data usage. Something to think about when comparing with other offers.

  • If you're after an S7/E I'd say not worth it. They regularly have deals for it:

Seems a little underwhelming compared to their previous sales.

    • Pretty much

  • Guys, Ive bought woolys mobile, it has a shocking customer care team, totally dum ar$es and they will make you scream for almost all problems. Their network is part telstra but Ive experienced more issues than I had with optus, I thought this is telstra so it will be better. Save yourself pain and stay away from woolies mobile….. okay to buy bread from them, their bakery is really good, this one… forget it !

    • What problems did you have?

    • For another view, my experience has been the opposite. I messed up my activation & support person was great (my only need to contact them).

Coverage has been very good too. Work is at a notorious poor Optus area, and WW mobile cover has been excellent. Fine too on recent country drive.
