Last week someone posted price error from Office works, the post was deleted within 30 mins. I scored Seagate 4tb for $109, they honored it and apologize for the error, because I took screen shot of what I was ordering. Let me know if anyone wants to post copy of my receipt. Cheers to the guy who posted that.

        • I ordered that too. But after I paid the invoice said I purchased the 1tb which was what was packed when I went to click and collect.

          Lucky you…..

          Pics?

          @Buff:

nice! i felt kinda bad screenie-ing and arguing for them to honour it considering i knew it was obviously a price error (the product code was for the 1TB only the title was incorrect). and the fact that i ordered 3 lol

        • @CVonC: http://imgur.com/AQpobX8 this is evidence of my argument. I won

        • @Buff:

yeah exactly, product code is for the 1TB. well done though. surprised you didn't order more than 1 ;)

        • +1

@CVonC: didn't want to go overboard. This makes my grand total of 17tb including all the drives.

          @Buff:

do it over multiple stores then :P

i have 15TB connected atm and quite a few disconnect ><

Would this stack with the $25 store credit we got for signing up to the catalogues?

    • TGG store credit cannot be used on their eBay store.

  • highly recommend this one..works a treat especially with usb 3.0

Can these be ripped out to fit inside PS4 or are the ports not compatible or too thick (prob the 4tb is too thick)

    • +1

i think they may be took thick for ps4, something about gotta be 9mm in thickness, and these 4tb ones are like 13mm, by memory.

      • +1

i think you are right about the 4TB one… what about the 2TB one? do they have the same ports/interface to connect inside the drives or are they proprietary?

      • +2

thanks for your help… just checked out a video and the 2TB can be taken out and used :) guess I'm spending more money….

Just to confirm, I put one of these 2TB in my PS4 and put the old HDD back in the portable case.

        • @Kilgharrah: you might have to buy a separate portable case as you need to pretty much break the case to get to the drive…

        • @wippy: It was actually easier than the guides make it sound, I've done it twice now. I think I used a stanley knife to get in the crack and wedged the case open at the corner, then just kept going around the edge bit by bit.

  • Hmm, i wonder if the price might increase just before 5pm…

  • I paid $119 for the 2TB at the start of last month from their eBay store. Still haven't got it because AusPost refuses to accept the mistake of delivering to the wrong address, but $95 for the drive sounds great!

It's already over 2 years now since I purchased my 2TB drive from this deal:
    https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/165686

It was $90 delivered after discount. Now seems to be more expensive.

    https://www.jbhifi.com.au/computers-tablets/all-computers--t…

    Purchased 4TB one
    :)

    • I use the 2tb plugged into the xbone, no problems :D

  • thanks op

  • Seagate 8tb for around $245 delivered from Amazon currently seems a better deal.

    • That is a desktop drive, while this one is portable (2.5", USB powered).
This is an excellent price for 4TB portable!

  • Thanks ignore my comment, apologies. Didn't realize portables had reached the 4tb mark.

  • Wow. Excellent price for 4tb.

  • That's a good price for the 4tb portable.

Click and collect is no longer available for the 4TB

    • +1

Odd. It's still working for me.

      • Ahh, it's back

  • Thank you

  • can 4TB be used in PS4?

    • +1

      No. It's too tall.

  • Just check it on seagate website, only comes with 1 yr warranty

  • Does anyone know if this is an SMR drive?

    • It is not a SMR drive - AFAIK they are only shipping in the 3.5" form factor. This is a 2.5" drive.

I doubt anyone here will care because drool bargain but TGG Ebay store now has feedback of 98.5% - 132 negative and 98 neutral just in the last month.

My experience through there web store is mixed. Moto G3 came with no issues. Tried to order that $4 printer and ended up with Paypal being charged but no order on their system. Had to raise it multiple times and eventually flag a problem on Paypal before it was fixed. I wonder how much longer it would have taken had I used CC.

Btw my cutoff for Ebay is 99.6%. I rarely go below that and there are many O/S suppliers with higher rating that I wouldn't touch.

  • 4TB not available for click & collect? Delivery only.

  • Just bought one of these and the total with postage was $161.06.

Quite a bit better than the ones on Gumtree being advertised at $200.
