That's international stock from Hong Kong and doesn't carry the same 2 Year warranty that Australian stock does. Also the Officeworks deal is eligible for TRS (Tourist Refund Scheme), which means you can bring the price further down to $1090 (great for those travelling this Summer holidays). Personally, I'd go after Australian stock as my experience with Apple Warranty on Australian stock has been really good (for e.g. Apple just replaced my dad's faulty 3+ year old iPhone 5S no questions asked as their system indicated it was Australian stock thus is covered under the Consumer Law warranty)
@xDrak1x: I realise this…just posting link as he asked for it. Personally I'd rather buy the Kogan stock unless I was getting the TRS. Apple are generally pretty good with their warranties.
@xDrak1x: However, technically if you come back into Australia you need to declare that you've purchased it and pay the GST back. Unless you're travelling with others.
I tried to do this on a laptop and the women told me 'if you bring it back you'll just have to pay it back, and they do/can track you'.
Not sure how much bullshit it is, but the TRS is for international travelers, not really for Aussies going overseas and coming back. Technically. So just be aware you're legally obligated to declare it when you come back into Australia (you can be fined if you're randomly searched you have the box etc).
