Finally my mi max arrived truly massive phone pretty responsive

  • Finally on 14th Jan status changed to despatched. Looks like seller didn't have stock they were telling lies it was sent on 4th Jan..
It will take week to reach Perth.. Totally disappointed with the seller will never buy from them

  • Like a few of you, I ordered a Mi5 on 27/12 and it was marked as shipped with just under a day to go before the order was cancelled by AliExpress due to non-shipment. I was almost about to cancel it before then. Once tracking showed, it was marked as 'shipped' on the 5th, left the country on the 15th, and still yet to see it. I bought a number of accessories for this phone via Aliexpress and for my partner's Mi5, and they've all arrived last week. No worries with those sellers, but it seems like these guys were overwhelmed by the orders, or ran out of stock and are attempting to cover for it while not losing sales. Not happy it's taking this long but it'll be here eventually. Should've sprung for the DHL shipping.

  • Update 17-01 : Landed in AU. Waiting to receive it. Any idea how long it takes to deliver once it is in AU ?

    • Hah, went to check and mine did too, shortly after I posted above. I'm guessing it'll take 1-3 days once arriving judging from the other stuff I bought on Aliexpress once they got into the country, but I might be completely wrong. Up to Auspost now probably.

    • Mine has been in AU since the 7th.
Still waiting for delivery (ADL metro)

      • Update : Got it delivered yesterday. So roughly 15 days of delivery.

        • Lucky you. Mine hasnt arrived yet, boy its taking long. Thats what I dont understand, why does it take so long after arriving in AU.

I need it by this thursday lol.

        • @Peter Pickleeater: I went to Auspost just to get to know whether they'll deliver it or not.
So maybe you can just go and check . Quote them the Singapore post tracking no and they'll tell you where it is.

        • @urahara:

Appreciate that advice, i'll followup. thanks.

        • +1

          @urahara:

I just phoned and they dont know what the delay was but it has only been released today (sydney). So now to add 3, 4 days to get here in ADL. Would be better if 2 :)

        • @Peter Pickleeater: :D :D Njoyy Mate

  • so i ordered a mimax early in the sale (27th Dec) and got it about 7 days later (dhl)
i also ordered a mi5 the same day but a bit later. Nothing happened at all despite numerous questions so i got jack of waiting and cancelled the order on the 10th Jan (2 days before it would autocancel as i figured they would lie and say shipped to buy more time and to avoid cancellation).
I placed an order for the mi5 with goldway on Aliexpress (which was basically the same cost as these guys at dreami) and i got it yesterday (7 days)
So, i had one good experience with dreami and one bad.
The refund process was interesting, they refused the refund because i stated in my reason that it took too long. They messaged me and said they'd approve the refund if i basically stated that i no longer wanted it. Anyway, very dodgy but i got my refund.
Will avoid these guys next time and go with goldway i think.

Seemslike a Very mixed bag of experiences.
I am very happy so far with my mi max coming from a Samsung note 3. I paid on the 27th received on the 4th via dhl

Thanks OP. I ordered using normal delivery on 27 Dec, after some messages back and forth because of misunderstanding on open box, phone was shipped on 5 Jan and got it on 23 Jan - one week after it arrived with Customs. Customs opened the box, and they were kind enough to leave a note.

Happy with Mi Max! Battery lasts long, fingerprint scanner is dope and the big screen is unbelievable. Agree with the post above, the screen protector labels were wrong, no wonder the "protector" won't stick. Great value purchase.

Still waiting for my mi max after ordered it on 27 Dec!!

    • me too. first time using aliexpress and probably the last. Followed up with Seller on my mi max who said 'it is uncertain'.
Emailed BOTH customs and Aus Post who said they don't have the item with them.
Checked tracking number that it entered Australia on 15 Jan but no update since.

OP I look forward to hearing back from you. It has been 48 days since the order date. Yes I used standard shipping but this doesn't explain why both customers and AUS Post claim that they do not have this item based on tracking number.

      • +1

Yes, very strange indeed so I opened a dispute for the transaction and they have told me to wait up to 60 days before they act on it.

        • +1

does your tracking update also say "Arrived in Australia" and nothing further?

extremely unhappy for this happening to me the second time. I also tried buying a Xiaomi from banggood who didn't end up deliver the phone to me because they ran out of stock. Took forever for them to refund me back - history is happening to me again!!

        • +1

@chrissylcy: Yes, the tracking status states "Arrived in Australia" on 23 Jan and nothing further after that. But I suppose, sometimes it takes 2 months for an item to be shipped (this happened to me recently on a small item that I purchase from Aliexpress).

          Pretty much the same, too.

    • Same here…

It says it's arrived here in Australia (exchange), but that's it. Getting close to raising a dispute. :(

      • +1

i've already opened a dispute. The seller said 60 days and till then they wanted me to wait.

        • Going to contact auspost then I think I'll raise a dispute, even though I was also told wait 60 days..

        • @chonkie: I've spoken to AustPost twice about it. They said they didn't receive the parcel from the Airport.

        • @fchis:

Any idea how long we have to wait to get a refund once a dispute is opened? It has been 58 days since order date.

I have already gave up on Dreami/Ali Express the most useless seller ever dealt with and they have the nerve to tell me it's coming/don't worry. Both Aus Post and Department of Immigration and Border Protection confirmed twice that the phone isn't with them.

I am already planning to buy a new phone from a retailer this time by this week.

        • @chrissylcy: says on my orders screen "If your order does not arrive on 2017-03-07 , you can apply for a refund by opening a dispute."

  • +1

And I am still waiting…! Opened a dispute, their reply was wait 60 days. zit's been 55 days for me so far. Said it arrived in Aus Jan 05..

  • Ordered 27/12/16 too….
Why is it taking so long >=(

  • For a $300 item, I really don't understand why people cheap out on 'free' postage..

  • I think something is wrong with the seller. I ordered another phone from another seller on aliexpress and the seller shipped it on 10 Feb, 2017 via Singapore Post. Today, I received a delivery pick up card. I believe it's possible the seller did not ship the phone.

    • Where does your tracking say the phone is?
My item appears to be lost too. I think it was a busy time of year and by the looks of things, has been lost somewhere in Australia. Who knows though, it might turn up. I'll be lodging a dispute shortly. I've since ordered about 6 items with the last ordered on 12 Feb which arrived already using free shipping. :(

  • I spoke with AusPost, they said I should receive it by the end of the week, as they received it Thursday. Fingers crossed!

    • +1

Wow really?! That's a great news.

    • Any update on the tracking info on AliExpress? -> different to "2017-01-23 11:08:00 Arrival at Destination (Exchange Office)" ?

    • have you received the phone already?

    • I'm in the same boat as well. The waiting has gone far too long now. I opened up a dispute before the buyer protection ended. The claim was rejected based on their not being able to track the domestic post side of things and was told to wait 3 days.

BTW what number do you call AusPost on to check the parcel status? Is it the general enquiries line (03) 8847 9045 or is there a specific number.

      • Update: Just called AusPost and I was told my phone is stuck in Border Security. Unless Border Security releases the parcel, AusPost can't give an ETA on the delivery.

        • interesting, they told me they never received the phone from Australian Custom. I called them 3 times and each time they have given me the same answer.

  • Can I still apply for a refund if I don't want the phone anymore? :(

    • Depending on the reason, yes.
If your item is significantly different from the seller’s product description, you can A: Return it and get a full refund, or B: Get a partial refund and keep the item.

Why don't you want it? And what did you buy?

  • I bought the new Xiaomi 5s as my lg g4 died, I sent it back to kogan and despite being over 1 yr warranty they are giving me a replacement phone Samsung s7!So I don't really want the new Xiaomi now…I was keen to try it but after two months of waiting….
