Further Info/Tips

There are two "tricks" that can be extremely beneficial as there is a common trend experienced by 7-Eleven App users: 1) If you receive an error processing your credit/debit card, you can purchase a 7-Eleven Gift Card in-store and apply the credits instantly onto the App. 2) You do not need to use the funds on your App to pay for the fuel, you can lock-in the price and pay via Cash or Card at the checkout saving the hassle of constantly topping up, gift cards, etc.

Master131 spends a lot of time creating and maintaining the script at Project Zero Three that we all know and love.

  • Is it me only or new updated app we can't mock location?

    • Still working Google pixel. Had to completely exit fake GPS tho

  • According to Nugget's script, Truganina was at 118.0 for P98, 112.0 for P95 and 100.0 for U91. E10 was 122.5. However please note this was either very short lived or inaccurate.

As Nugget's script relies on feedback from users in Vic/Qld/ACT, it's either an error or someone is messing with us! Lol.

    • Wonder if it would be valid if someone locked in fuels at that price. Or will it cause an error.

      • +1

If you lock it in, it will be honoured. In most cases if there's an error in the script, you wont be able to lock in for that price

      • +2

I check his script more often than I'd care to admit, and I jumped on those prices as soon as I saw it. However it wasn't available to lock in at those prices.

The cheapest I have had was P98 at 115.9. Locked in fine, no issues. If there's a price error in the app they seem to honour it.

      • +1

they definitely honour the price errors, some do ask where you locked it in but they dont stop you using it and you are not under any obligation to say anyway, usually i just say i was interstate recently.

  • +25

Penrith south P95 104.9. Verified in the app.

    • Wow cheap

    • Thanks mate :)

    • Wow - a big stuff up! A shame P95 isn't so widely available - not for me this time :(.

      • just look for ur local one on fuelcheck or aroud ur next destination.

    • lol. Locked! Now THAT is deal of the week :)

    • Yep. And NOW my app won't lock in!!!

    • +1

      Saaaweeet! Locked and loaded. Thanks!

    • Effing champion!!!!!!

    • Nice work Mr Nuggets, keep em coming!

    • Damn I missed this. Please post to the homepage next time!

        • Didn't know that, thanks. A rather ill-thought rule, I might add, for deals such as these given the savings on offer.

        • @Vallani:

The first two rules of fuel lock, etc.

  • Anyone getting the velocity rule breach error? Been getting that quite often lately.

    • Never seen that, what is it? What phone you using?

      • Ipod touch jailbroken for spoofing.

    • ???care to elaborate more on how you come up with that problem?

      • I only get that error when I try to load the account up more than once in a day.

        • ok i see, probs better to do what @T1: T1 is doing for you not to encounter that problem anymore.

        • Reallt? That could explain it I guess

        • @angelkulit025: Yeah was considering about this as well, I might just do that. It gets annoying especially when you can't lock in a 95 for 104.1! :)

    • You can only deposit a maximum of $80 a day from 1 credit card. If you try another card the error should go away.

  • sorry, this is probably a vocabulary question but couldn't find out. Does PDL stand for Diesel?

    • +1

      Correct

  • I booked twice today P95 @ 104 now I am trying again .It showing the price on app , can't able to lock .Anyone know how to solve ?

Edit -Tired cleaning cache still doesn't work.

    • +2

You can lock twice in 24 hours in one phone

      • Ohhhh thanks mate.

  • +2

I just locked in no issues S5 104.9 ulp95 winning

    • 104.9! You little ripper!

  • 104.9 Penrith just locked

  • +1

I filled up my 2 cars saved AUD 48 😂 thanks a lot

  • So is the procedure to lock in the price on the app and pay for it then? What do I do when I actually get to the fuel depot? Do I use a code or what?

    • +2

Kinda. Here is what new users have to do:

      1) Register for account in the app.
      2) Add credit card and put some money into your account. Put enough to cover what a normal tank would cost for you. E.g. $60, and your card would be charged $60.
      3) Lock in your price and fuel type and amount E.g. 60L of E10 at 100.0 cents. Money is not deducted at this stage. Note you can only secure as much fuel as your account balance allows, so using the above pricing, you would need more money in the account if you needed more than 60L of fuel. Your app will now give you a voucher (barcode)
      4) Go to any 7/11 with your chosen fuel type and fill up.
      5) At the register, quote your pump as usual and present the barcode. Attendant scans it and gives you the price you locked in. If you fill up more than you locked in, any excess fuel is charged at normal pump price. Using above example, if you fill up 65L, the 60L is discounted.
      6) Choose to pay with your own card or use your 7/11 account balance. Using your account balance will mean you need to top up every time you will up so I prefer to just leave the balance in the account and just pay with my own card.

      • Thanks mate, that is super helpful. So say I am not too sure how much fuel I need, can I select 60L, fill up my tank in person to full, then pay for what I used at the register (Which may be 40L)?

        • Yep, safer to secure more fuel than you expect to need so you never pay pump prices. You only pay for what you fill whether you use your account balance or card/cash.

Note that vouchers are one use only with a one week expiry and you can only lock in prices twice a day if I remember correctly.

@IceCreamBandit: Thanks :) After the crazy prices lately it's a no-brainer to check this out.

        • @Menzoberranzan:

Yep, considering you can get P95 at 104.9 at the moment (Penrith South). Thats about 50c per litre saving.

  • +2

    Penrith is 159. 9 now

    • Yeah, the fun is over :(

Found it pretty funny to find this on /r/brisbane.

    • Out of curiousity, how are you getting the prices for each fuel station? Are you using the 7-Eleven fuel app API or relying on third-party services?

  • Anyone here with a note 8 that can help me get this to work? The app just keeps saying I have mock locations on

    • You just have to turn off developer mode. And if it still doesn't work. Close fake GPS as well then go back to 711 app.. Thats how I do it.. It also depends on the phone.. Its a hit and miss but once you get it, it will be good for next time.

      • Sorry to be annoying but us there a certain order I should do it. Ie open app then open fake gps then turn off developer options?

        • +2

Here are the steps (assuming you've checked 8-Twelve and know where you're setting your GPS)

          1) Open Fake GPS
          2) Search for location, once found, press the play button.
          3) Open Phone settings
          4) Swipe to bottom, open Developer options
          5) Turn off developer options
          6) Close settings
          7) Open notification bar, tap on the arrow for Fake GPS
          8) Tap 'Pause'
          9) Close Fake GPS
          10) Open 7/11 app
          11) Search for fuel and you're done.

Note: Steps 6-11 need to be done fairly quickly to avoid the GPS being reset back to you actual location.

        • Another tip I can give from a non-rooted Note 8 POV. I often get the 7/11 Mock Notification notice so the what I do is continuously close and open the 7/11 app until it finds my fake location. Sometimes it takes 3 times, other times 7. Probably could be faster if I disabled high accuracy tracking but meh I don't mind doing a bit of tedious work for a good deal. I did the Destiny 2 Winding Cove faction farm on 3 chars so grinding is no issue lol

        • Works with Nokia 5.

        • +2

          @IceCreamBandit
          :
          Absolute legend this worked!

      • for top end phones like the later Note and S series, your only choice is probably to root it and forget Samsung pay for good because the gps is very quick. I just bought a cheap android with less responsive gps for the job.

        • I don't have any issues with my wife's s8 (non rooted).

        • +1

          @tarken:

did you follow the procedure like :

          1) Open Fake GPS
          2) Search for location, once found, press the play button.
          3) Open Phone settings
          4) Swipe to bottom, open Developer options
          5) Turn off developer options
          6) Close settings
          7) Open notification bar, tap on the arrow for Fake GPS
          8) Tap 'Pause'
          9) Close Fake GPS
          10) Open 7/11 app
          11) Search for fuel and you're done.

I cannot get it work , keeps getting the mock location message

        • @AllWins:
Yeah pretty much.. If I get that message then I close the 7/11 app through recent apps and open it again and then it works.

        • @AllWins:

          thanks this worked for me!

    • +1

sure PM me your number and i'll sms you a picture of whichever fuel you want

  • lpg 69.9 @ Glen Waverley, Victoria

Not as good as before but
    P95 - 116.4 @ Penrith South

    • +1

      thanks , locked in !!

    • +1

      Good price, 155.8c/L now

    • Sigh… missed he glitch
Now 155 for 98 at south penrith

  • any cheap P98?

    • I don't know about Melb. but P98 in Sydney has peaked and is slowly going down. Will probably bottom out b4 Xmas.

      • same here in Melb mate. Its hovering around 168c/l. I am thinking of using P95 until 98 cools down a bit.

        • Wow. Easily bought Syd 157/8

    • According to the tracker Bassendean in WA is 140.9. I just locked in $58 worth :)

  • Thankfully locked in fuel before the increase in WA.

  • +1

Don't lock in petrol… best to wait if possible. WA and NSW should be much cheaper soon. https://www.accc.gov.au/consumers/petrol-diesel-lpg/petrol-p…

  • P95 134.9 Bassendean WA

  • Locked in P95 @ 104.9, filled up @ 158.2 and saved $24.05, definitely my highest savings.

    What's your highest saving?

    • +1

      $48.61 from this lock

    • $18. Only needed 33 litres though :)

    • Saved $36 on this fill. Filled 2 cars and my lawnmower jerry-can ;) Would have saved more but one of the cars was still half full.

    • +1

Gotta compare it to the cheapest available at that day really…. Cause who will pay their absurd pump price

    • $33.74 for this lock, had to buy 2 20L jerry can from BCF to maximise this saving, only cost $38 so I pretty much got 2 free jerry can to throw around. Can now be redeemed from the guilt of letting the $1.15 U98 lock expired a few week ago.

  • Getting a hard time using my saved 95 coz most of our servos here only have 98

    • +1

You can check on the app which ones have P95. Go to Menu, then Store Finder, click on a store and see fuel prices for each type of fuel they have.

  • +4

    Per nuggest's script,
    P98 128.2 Penrith South

    • locked, full tank filled then locked again. thanks.

      • Damn price went up

        • Still 128.2 at Penrith South. Just locked it in.

  • Damn my 104.9 p95 expired just as I was heading there lol

    • My condolences.

  • +1
Merged from 128.2c/L P98 Unleaded at 7/11 Penrith South (Syd) (Using Fuel Lock Price)

160c+ near my place in melbourne, but found this with fake GPS near Penrith South

the price for P98 is even cheaper than 91 and 95, so not sure when this will end

    • Damn, cheapest 98 is 157.4c/l this morning

      • +1

        @steve-o

140.9 for 98 octane at Bassendean, Western Australia.

        • Thanks mate. I settled for 147c/l this morning from Thornton NSW. That'll teach me for price locking on the weekend :P

  • Noosaville 0.98 for 98 is that for real?! Can anyone check pls
