This thread serves to let everyone know how much you have saved on your 7/11 fuel app.

Step 1: Subscribe to this thread to get email updates. You can change your subscription settings in your Ozbargain account to enable more/less email updates.

Step 2: Upon filling up simply fill in the details in this format:

  • NAME OF 7/11 STORE
  • PETROL TYPE
  • PETROL PRICE

Example:

  • Richlands QLD
  • ULP
  • 111.9/litre

There are two "tricks" that can be extremely beneficial as there is a common trend experienced by 7-Eleven App users: 1) If you receive an error processing your credit/debit card, you can purchase a 7-Eleven Gift Card in-store and apply the credits instantly onto the App. 2) You do not need to use the funds on your App to pay for the fuel, you can lock-in the price and pay via Cash or Card at the checkout saving the hassle of constantly topping up, gift cards, etc.

Master131 spends a lot of time creating and maintaining the script at Project Zero Three that we all know and love.

          If your PC is a laptop (like most people), you can take it to work and wifi hot-spot off your phone, use NOX to lock.

        You can somewhat easily modify the app and create your own working mock locations enabled one. If you are a little programming inclined it's simple.

        The hardest part imo was setting up the Google Maps API

          Let me see if I can get the map to show up with just the mock locations "disabled". (In reality I must have the Fake GPS set/enabled to search for any fuel). But since I rarely find any crazy cheap prices it works good for me

          Ha! It should be 20, I tried to make it so that it would search the 20 closest stores for the cheapest price to minimize the mock location thing but it kept fudging up. I reverted it back to it's original state. I chucked the link up to the APK below.

      I've tried this and found that 7/11 app won't work because it displayed a messaging, app won't work until you update GooglePlayServices.

    Nox doesn't seem to work for me. Worked this morning. When I click lock, it just hops back to the main lock page. Anyone have the same issue?

    It's a bugger to watch, but here's proof. I'm uploading it to Dropbox now, gonna have dinner and if it's up in time I'll post the APK.

    I don't know how many API hits I'm allowed for free so we'll see how it goes.

    edit: APK link. For some reason it asks for SD card permission but I don't know why.

    You need to have Fake GPS enabled to search for the cheapest fuel. You can use this APK to redeem the fuel too (did today). Also, you will need to uninstall your original app because of signature verfication

    more edits: Don't blame me if 7/11 somehow ban you're account. All I did was change 1 number in the source code, but you can't resign apps with their original signature and get the maps API to work.

        Any one can neg but, what is the use if they block everyone? Also can they find that if we are using a modded apk? I dnt have idea about this so asking?

          Apart from all of the error logging and tracking they do (never wrote it down), these are the headers that are sent while you search for fuel:
          X-OsVersion, X-AppVersion, X-DeviceID, X-OsName, X-VmobID, X-DeviceSecret.

      Upload the apk to a free file hosting website such as UPLOD or dailyuploads.

      You may then consider somewhat limiting the link to the OZB community and preventing the direct link being indexed by search engines by using snahp or encode the link into Base64

      Regardless of your decision, I appreciate your effort to share with us.

        There are two different stores in Glen Waverley, granted the Fuel Lock should show you the cheapest.

        U98 is 136.5 @ the store on Blackburn Road.

    Fake GPS method working again. Google rolled back to 12.6.85. update your app. Uninstall 7 eleven and reinstall may version.

    Ok. Here's the APK for everyone (again). Password(s) are the name of this site in lowercase. You probably need to enter it twice.

    Worked fine for me the past ~10 times with me, so surely it should work for most others.

          also it is one person (masters) sampling every few hours to check as opposed to a larger number (people using this app) polling australia wide (if it was to search all)

        Someone else had this problem. The file should be 7.55MB. Here is the md5 sum.

          @tarken:may be they installed the apk from the ad. It happened to me aswell. The downloaded apk doesnt have name and then I realized that it is the apk from ad. You need to go one step further and download from the link.

          Normal google stocky ads. And the apk you install from ad wont have any name and is likely to be spam. Make sure your downloaded file is 7.55 mb and a 7 eleven logo comes up when you try to install.

          I managed(finally) to download the right .apk file with 7-11 logo on it but somehow the installation fails, am I supposed to uninstall the original 7-11 app and install your version instead?

          @Craze: yes. because the signature of app is different from your installed one so you need to uninstall your app first and install it.

          @pepsicles: I forget what its called. But if you go to your settings and find all apps, it was on the bottom of the list with no logo/icon.

          uninstall and all is good

          I had the same thing! Was the most intrusive spam crap ever. Pop up ads would appear while browsing, watching YouTube, watching Netflix… Like phocus said, it was a blank / no logo / icon at the bottom of apps list

        All I did was allow mock locations. You can sign up with the official app and then install mine and it works fine.
        Or you can log-in to an existing account.

    I've added a guide to send e-mail alerts when prices on 11-Seven drop below a certain price. Might be handy for those trying to catch some rare prices (ie. for U98). See the "Price Alerts" link on the main page for details.

      Hi master131, I set up the Alerts, works great! But I forgot to add alert for E10, how can I go back in and add E10 alert? Or is it easier to just start a whole new Alert for E10 alone?
